I wanted to go to a private room, but it was full, so I sat at the counter. First, I had a beer for 500 yen and a mountain grape juice for 200 yen to cheers! I like the beer here because they serve Classic. It's in good condition too. - Sashimi platter with 7 pieces for 1100 yen: octopus, rockfish, fatty tuna, tuna, sweet shrimp, scallop, squid, salmon. Huh, there are actually 8 pieces, thanks for the extra! The octopus was a bit so-so, but the rest was delicious. - Grilled tsubu for 1000 yen: I saw it in the showcase and decided to try it. It's cut and grilled for easy eating. It's tender and tasty. - Vinegared sea pineapple for 700 yen: served with shredded cucumber. No strange smell, this sea pineapple is fresh and tasty. Goes well with the beer. - Deep-fried fresh octopus for 680 yen: The octopus is incredibly tender and delicious. The seasoning is just right. Is this different from the sashimi octopus? This octopus wins for sure. - Grilled chicken thigh skewers (3 pieces) for 450 yen: I didn't specify the flavor, so it was salted. It's juicy and tasty. Nothing exceptional, but no complaints either. It's a good restaurant for a relaxing meal with your partner. It's nice to try unique dishes, but dining at a place like this is also a comforting and pleasant experience. This is Chuocho, Muroran. Today's restaurant is "Orenchi". It's a 3-minute walk from JR Muroran Station. Turn right at the first street after entering the revolving sushi street. There are 6 counter seats and several private rooms in the back. I visited around 18:00 on a weekday, and there were customers already in the private rooms. At the counter, there was one more customer. I noticed a set for drinking in the wall. I usually don't order these sets, but since they are somewhat pricey, I wonder if they are worth trying. - Drinking set @1980: 2 beers, appetizers, sashimi, 2 skewers. The beer was Classic. The quality was good. It's nice to have this quality of Classic beer in Chuocho, where it's relatively rare. The appetizers were dried radish and edamame. The dried radish had a lot of konjac, which gave it an interesting texture. The sashimi included salmon, squid, tuna, scallop, sweet shrimp, and jellyfish. The squid, jellyfish, salmon, and scallop were delicious. Especially the scallop, which was cut vertically, giving it a nice texture. The 2 skewers were salted pork skewers with leeks. It's rare to see leeks instead of onions in this area, so it was a nice change. The saltiness and grilling of the skewers were good. If you order the set, you get a 100 yen discount on additional drinks. So, I added another beer and tried the Onion Rings. - Onion Rings @400: I really like onion rings. They had a light and crispy batter, with a mild flavor. The sweetness of the onions stood out and was delicious. However, I felt it needed a bit more saltiness as a beer snack, maybe some ketchup would be nice. Overall, the beer and snacks were tasty, so I wanted to keep eating and drinking to evaluate more, but the place is non-smoking, and as a smoker, it's a bit of a turn off to have to go outside to smoke. I had a drink in Chuo Town. I decided to go in because Classic draft beer was 350 yen during Happy Hour. I sat at the counter and ordered a draft beer right away. The appetizer was simmered mushrooms and eggs. It seemed to be pre-made, but the mushrooms were well soaked in broth and delicious. I ordered a sashimi platter for one person with 7 pieces for 1100 yen. It arrived in 12 minutes, as there seemed to be a reservation for a party and the atmosphere was busy. The sashimi slices were thick, and it was a good amount for two people. The tuna was not the best, but everything else was great. Maybe good tuna is hard to come by around here. The amount of sashimi was generous, so I ended up having three beers with just that. Sorry about that.

This cozy izakaya offers great value for money with a wide selection of dishes to choose from. It's a place where you can feel happy sipping on some food and drinks. I visited this time for dinner without alcohol due to driving.

(First visit) For today's lunch, I was thinking of having duck seiro at "En" in Urahama-cho. As I was walking, I saw a signboard at the izakaya "Orenchi" saying "Lunch Special: Fried Oyster Set Meal for 750 yen". Intrigued, I entered and ordered at the counter. The young owner (perhaps the second generation?) told me, "Your drink is on the house," so I requested coffee for after the meal. Lucky me, the young proprietress brought the Fried Oyster Set Meal - fried oysters (hot and delicious), salad, pickles, kinpira (especially tasty), miso soup, and rice. It was a satisfying amount for lunch. It had been a while since I had fried oysters, so I thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking at the menu while sipping my coffee, I saw they also offer pheasant hot pot, fugu tempura, sashimi platter, spare rib vinegar dish, yakitori, and more. The variety is impressive, and it seems like a great place to visit with friends or family for dinner. I have only tried the lunch menu so far, but the dinner menu might earn some stars as well. (Second visit) I visited with a friend during lunchtime. We were able to relax in a tatami room for about four people. We ordered the seafood bowl set meal (880 yen) and sashimi set meal (850 yen). The seafood and sashimi were fresh and delicious, with a nice fatty texture. The yellowtail was particularly delicious, with a sweet and rich flavor. Both dishes are highly recommended. After the meal, we enjoyed a cup of coffee and had a leisurely chat. My rating went up a bit more (^_^). (Third visit) I went with a friend for lunch. We were seated in a slightly deeper tatami room (for about four people). We ordered the popular sashimi set meal (850 yen) and the tempura skewer set meal (750 yen). We opted for coffee after the meal. The tempura skewers were generous and tasty. My friend also enjoyed the sashimi. This place feels like a hidden gem, and I would love to visit again (^_^)♪ (Fourth visit) Today, I went alone for a meal. The lunch menu had the "Fried Oyster Set Meal for 750 yen," so I ordered it right away. The fried oysters that arrived were piping hot - delicious! I dipped them in sauce and savored the amazing taste. A rating of 4 stars for sure *\(^o^)/*

In the evening, it turns into an izakaya.
