Higashi Ward, Hassamu area. I visited a cafe without checking much information about it (lol). Amazing exterior! While taking photos of the exterior and admiring it, I noticed some passing women looking at me. "Maybe because I look like IKEA (*´ω`*)" Well, let's leave that obvious story aside. When I entered the store, the interior was also like a fairy tale. There were many types of sweets, and the female staff's customer service was very charming with lots of smiles. Let's just say it was because it's my job, not because I'm attractive. I purchased the following items: ◆ Baked cheesecake (270 yen) - said to be the most popular, made with 4 types of cheese. It wasn't too rich, just a normal, delicious cheesecake. ◆ Assorted sweets 6 pieces half price (756 yen) - included: * Coffee cookie - a light coffee-flavored cookie, not so great. * Bake cookie - nostalgic taste, child-friendly. * Almond cookie - this one was not good. * American cookie - strawberry sweet and gentle taste, quite good. * American cookie chocolate berry - of course, delicious because of the chocolate and berries! This one is a winner! * Pound cake - strawberry, moist and soft pound cake. A taste that children would like. With this content, even at half price, it felt a bit expensive to me. [Overall] The concept is clearly aimed at children's sweets, so it's hard to evaluate, but overall, the taste is milk-flavored, which children would like. On the other hand, for adults, at this price, they probably wouldn't buy it for themselves. It would be great to see more children's smiles. Thank you for the meal!

I walked around aimlessly from JR Hassamu Chuo Station, not having a specific destination in mind. Eventually, I stumbled upon a place called "Kuma no Shippo" without searching for it. It seemed to be a bakery based on my quick search. The facade looked a bit intimidating, but I mustered up the courage to enter. Inside, it felt like being in a theme park attraction with a forest-like setting and even a bear mascot. The shop was dimly lit, giving off a mysterious vibe. I bought a "Wood Strawberry Chocolate Muffin" and a "Baked Cheesecake" to try. The muffin had a subtle blend of chocolate sweetness, strawberry tartness, and a crunchy texture, while the cheesecake was moist with a rich cheese flavor. Both were delicious. I enjoyed them at a nearby park and would definitely recommend trying them. I look forward to visiting "Kuma no Shippo" again in the future.

Visited a shop that I often pass by on a familiar road, but had never been inside before. It was a bakery that I rarely have any connection with, but a member of the Totoron group recommended it to me. I was surprised to find out that they sell cookies and such here! Oh, I actually need to return the favor with cookies since I received chocolates this year. So, I decided to choose this shop for that purpose. It was my first time inside the store, which felt like a different world with various small items and toys packed everywhere, perfect for Totoron. At first, I randomly picked a few individual cookies, but then I got interested in the sets as well, so I wandered around the store. That's when I found a cute pink and blue mug cup set for 1,970 yen! I didn't need two sets, so I asked if they sell the blue mug cup separately, but it was sold out. They offered the pink one instead, so I got the pink mug cup and the blue mug cup set. I handed them all to my girlfriend, and she divided the blue mug cup for me. I also got a barista-exclusive mug cup for work. The cookies, like sablés and madeleines, were divided into individual pieces for me. They were all delicious, but personally, I really liked the sesame florentine for 220 yen. Despite it being White Day, the shop was bustling with female customers coming in one after another. It was a popular spot!

I visited this pastry shop on a Saturday. It is run by a pastry chef husband and a picture book author wife who opened the shop in 2019. The shop's exterior and interior are like stepping into a world of picture books, filled with cuteness and charm. There is a parking lot in front of the shop. I tried their Baked Cheesecake for $2.70 and Gâteau Chocolat for $3.24. I forgot the price and name of the cookie in the shape of a bear that I also got. The cheesecake made with four types of cheese was moist and flavorful, while the rich Gâteau Chocolat was also moist and decadent. The sweets are both delicious and cute, but they are a bit small for the price, so they might be more suitable for gifts or special occasions rather than everyday treats. Thank you for the meal.

There was a photo of a chiffon cake in the post, so I decided to visit a place to buy this chiffon cake that seems familiar but not so common. I didn't plan to go all the way to Hassamu just to buy chiffon cake, so I visited the place while eating soup curry in Kita-ku. The parking lot in front of the store seemed difficult to leave if you entered from the front, and it was also challenging to back in because it faced a busy road. I carefully timed it, entered from the front, quickly switched to reverse using the characteristics of a compact car, and parked. Inside, it felt like visiting a toy store, and other customers were hesitating about what to choose (laughs). My wife's antenna was up like Kitaro, picking out sweets. I had reserved the chiffon cake over the phone, so there was no need to rush. I paid for the chosen sweets and the cake together. When asked if it was okay to pack the cake and sweets in the same bag, I said it was fine since I didn't plan to give them to anyone, and the female staff was very pleased. Back at home, I ate the chiffon cake, which had a light texture and just the right amount of sweetness, and it was very delicious. It tasted great on its own and also with whipped cream. It would be even better with delicious tea or coffee.

One weekday, I visited a handmade confectionery shop in Nishi-ku, Hassamu 5-jo, which I had bookmarked. The shop has parking space for about 3 cars, but be careful as there are some difficult spots to park due to the step between the parking area and the road. As I entered the compact shop, I was surrounded by shelves filled with various baked sweets, making it hard to decide what to choose. I ended up picking a few items based on inspiration. The chiffon cake (250 yen tax included) had a light and fluffy texture with a subtle egg flavor and just the right amount of sweetness, which I personally liked. The financiers (200 yen tax included) had a balanced sweetness and oil content, making it a safe choice for anyone. The Florentine (220 yen tax included) had a crispy almond slice topping, caramel-like surface, and a buttery flavor, providing a satisfying crunch. I noticed that they were also making a large quantity of set items in the back, indicating their popularity. Thank you for the delicious treats.

It looks like a fairy tale from the outside. I saw it on TV a while ago and always wanted to check it out. Once inside, it felt like a theme park. The store was packed with products. It seemed like they had a lot of gift items. They had a variety of merchandise. There were samples of cheesecake available. The cake had a strong cheese flavor. They also had a wide selection of baked goods. They even had jelly drinks. So many options to choose from. Hmm, a bit pricey for home consumption. I'll go with the chiffon cake. It was fluffy and moist, just as I imagined. I couldn't help but finish it all. I should have tried it with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, the classic way. This store is more suited for gifts for people who love cute things, rather than everyday use.

In the evening, I returned to Sapporo from Ebetsu and stopped by this place that I had been curious about for a while but hadn't visited before. I parked my car in the parking lot in front of the store and went inside. The interior was cute, with lots of bear-shaped items and products with bears drawn on them, making it fun to look around. I ended up picking various items that caught my eye and before I knew it, I had quite a few things in my basket. I need to be careful not to overspend haha.
Cheesecake (whole): A baked cheesecake with a bear drawing on the surface. The moist texture of the cheesecake has a rich flavor, with a strong taste of cheese. The acidity is not too strong, and the sweetness is moderate, making it easy to eat. Also, when warmed up slightly, it becomes fluffy with a light texture, enhancing the flavor of the cheese.
White Bear Madeleine, Black Bear Madeleine: Cute madeleines in the shape of bears. The white one is plain, and the black one is chocolate. The moist dough of the plain one has a subtle refreshing acidity of lemon, and the chocolate one has a sweet flavor that is not too overwhelming.
Chocolate Sablé: A chocolate sablé that a chocolate-loving staff member put a lot of effort into. The crispy texture of the sablé contains almond slices, adding a nutty aroma to the chocolate flavor. There were many other delicious-looking products, and I would like to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

I headed to a bakery selling baked goods in search of a snack (ΦωΦ) I've been eyeing this cheesecake for a while now...! The interior of the shop is so cute!
- Cheesecake
I've been curious about this for a while~! It has a slightly salty cheese flavor, giving it an adult-like taste... not too sweet. When eaten cold, it becomes moist. On the other hand, when warmed up, it becomes fluffy and the cheese aroma intensifies...! This way of eating is so delicious...!! I love it so much...! I would love it to be warmed up...!!! (Even though I can't drink) It seems like it would go well with wine. Maybe almond? The slightly grainy texture was also nice!
- Apple Cinnamon Muffin
The cinnamon flavor is just right in this moist muffin. When eaten cold, it's moist and a bit chewy, almost like it has rice flour? But it doesn't actually contain rice flour haha. When reheated, the fluffy feeling increases. The small, round pieces of stewed apples have a lot of moisture, but the texture remains and it was exquisite. These stewed apples would also go well in a pound cake~. I would love for them to make a tea and apple pound cake. The sweetness is mild and the taste is gentle. This is how a bakery muffin should be!
- Strawberry Pound Cake / Fruit Pound Cake
I ate it cold and it's a moist pound cake. Those who like Rain's pound cake will surely like this one. The texture of the strawberry bits is nice, and the sweetness is just right (no acidity). It's a bit bitter, perhaps because of the liquor. It's a bit like baking soda. That part bothered me.
- Bear Financier
I thought it would have a citrus flavor, and it turns out it has lemon juice! It's a moist financier, but the refreshing lemon flavor is also nice! When reheated, the lemon flavor increased significantly! This is delicious~!
- Chocolate Sablé
It's not too sweet and quite firm cookie! When reheated, the sweetness of the chocolate and the crispy texture increased! Despite the cute appearance, the taste pleasantly surprised me...! Thank you, Wu-ta-san!! (((orz

On a day off, I decided to buy some baked goods for lunch and placed a take-out order at this shop I passed by. I bought the following items:
- Hashikko Snack Set
- Black Tea Orange Muffin
- Sliced Baked Cheesecake
- American Cookies (Black Tea Fruit, Chocolate Chip)
The cookies were slightly moist but still had a nice crunchy texture. Most of the items are made without shortening, which is great. The Hashikko Snack Set is sold at a discounted price because the expiration date is near, but it's actually a good deal. The expiration date is not so urgent, so I recommend buying it. I even got two sets for myself. I plan to enjoy them with a cup of tea.

One day, while driving through the city, I noticed a store that stood out, and I thought to myself, "I wonder if it's a miscellaneous goods store?" After looking into it, I found out that it was actually a bakery specializing in baked goods. I finally visited the store recently. The store has a unique theme centered around "picture books" and "bears" (I intentionally didn't use the word "kuma" here), and it is truly impressive to see such a well-executed concept. It's a perfect store for those who want to immerse themselves in this world. It's rare to see a store that pays attention to details like the painted parking lot. As for the pastries, they were all delicious, but I highly recommend the "Pizza Cookies," "Financiers," and the "gift boxes." The Pizza Cookies come in various flavors, which is uncommon for a bakery. They were all tasty, but the "Black Pepper Pizza" stood out for me. It would probably go well with unsweetened alcohol. The Financiers had an amazing aroma that immediately captivated me. When I checked the ingredients, I found out that butter was the main ingredient, which explains the rich flavor. The gift boxes may seem unusual to some, but they are essential in expressing the store's quality. The different gift boxes cater to different occasions like "thank you" or "congratulations," each with its own story. I bought a gift box with pastries for my niece, and after she finished the treats, she used it as a toy box. It's impressive how the staff connects the ideal atmosphere they envision with the boxes. "Kuma no Shippo" has truly embodied their initial concept throughout the store. Creating an ideal store requires a lot of ideas and effort, and this store serves as a great example of that. It's remarkable that they were able to establish this store within a year of opening. It's a valuable learning experience for both customers and those in the food industry.

It is a bakery specializing in baked goods. The store is also cute and the variety of gifts is rich. The prices were quite reasonable, but each item was carefully made and very delicious. There were various cute baked goods for gifts, so it is recommended for gifts.

After work, I stumbled upon a shop with a cute name. I thought it was a bakery, but it turned out to be a specialty store for baked goods. I think it used to be a ramen shop before. As soon as I stepped inside, I was amazed by how cute the interior was! I was excited as I selected a few items to purchase. I was so hungry that I wanted to eat as I walked outside, but I restrained myself because I am an adult, haha. I will enjoy them leisurely at home. Here's what I bought:
- Cheese Cake: It was more like a heavy type of cake, but with a soft and smooth texture.
- Mont Blanc Cake: It had whole chestnuts in it. Goes well with tea.
- Apple Muffin: A muffin that I would love to have as a snack or for breakfast. It's so satisfying with a rich apple and cinnamon flavor.
Thank you for the delicious treats!

I visited a cute pastry shop and pretended it was my first time, but I've actually been there over 5 times already. Since it was Respect for the Aged Day, I got a free box and filled it with various sweets like cookies, mini sablés, madeleines (my favorite), acorn castella, bear-shaped muffins, and more. The baked goods were all cute and delicious. The cheesecake was tasty and the chiffon cake was fluffy and delicious. Personally, I recommend the muffins.

Depending on the direction you are coming from, it may be easy to miss this place if you are heading towards Kotoni or Nijuyonken. However, if you are going towards Hassamu Ion, you will notice it on your right side. The interior of the shop has a trendy and whimsical feel, making you feel like you have wandered into a fairy tale. Their cheesecake is a popular item, known for its rich flavor with four different types of cheese. It has a dense texture but a refreshing aftertaste. My daughter's favorite way to enjoy it is chilled in the refrigerator. The tea and orange muffin is also delicious, with a strong tea flavor and the orange zest adding a nice touch. The financiers come in a pack of three and are meticulously made. They have a variety of cute cookies and baked goods that make great gifts, and it's fun to choose from the selection available.

"Kuma no Shippo" is a Western-style confectionery shop that opened on July 31, 2019. It is located in the Hakkō area of Nishi-ku, Sapporo, along the Kuwanon and Hakkō Streets. The shop is a small storefront that used to house a dining room or ramen shop. This was the first time I visited with my usual companion. The interior of the shop has a completely different atmosphere now, with a strong attention to detail in its design. Upon entering, we were kindly offered samples by a friendly staff member. There were four different samples available, all of which had a delicious taste. We ended up purchasing two items, including their recommended item, the "Baked Cheesecake." The cheesecake is made with four types of cheese and has a rich and authentic flavor. We also bought the "Matcha Red Bean Muffin," which had red bean paste mixed into the dough and a crunchy cookie inside. Additionally, we tried the "Adult's Sweets Pound Cake with Fruit Mix," which had a base of pound cake with a hint of alcohol and a good mix of dried fruits. The shop also offered a chiffon cake made with fresh forest eggs and a black sugar chiffon cake for sampling. The "Baked Cheesecake" stood out as a well-made cheesecake with a strong cheese flavor. Both of us enjoyed it. Overall, the confectioneries were of high quality and we look forward to visiting the shop again. We will definitely be getting the "Baked Cheesecake" on our next visit. Thank you for the delicious treats.

I visited the store after a long time, as I heard it was featured on Takatoshi Land. Despite going early after opening, the parking lot was full and the store was crowded. The power of TV is amazing. I bought my all-time favorite pastry, Boule de Neige. The ice balls here are delicious. However, my favorite caramel flavor was not available today, so I bought plain and strawberry flavors. The shape of the pastries has changed from five half-circle pieces to six smaller rectangular pieces. I don't remember the exact price, but they are delicious, so it's worth it.
