At first, the atmosphere seemed intimidating, but entering was the right choice! The owner welcomed me warmly and was very friendly. I ordered pasta with squid and pork, which had a nice texture and was delicious! There was an old game on the table, but unfortunately, it was broken and couldn't be used. I ended up staying longer than planned in the relaxed atmosphere.

I finally had the chance to visit the café "Time" in Fukushima town, which I had been curious about for a while. As soon as I stepped inside, I felt like I had slipped back in time to the Showa era. The café had a retro atmosphere with a table-top game machine, stylish music, and a cozy ambiance typical of a café. I was sure that this place was a gem. I ordered the "Time-style yakisoba" without hesitation, which was recommended to me. Feeling hungry, I opted for the large serving of 1.5 portions (800 yen) and waited for a while. What arrived was a simple yakisoba with Chinese cabbage, shiitake mushrooms, pork, and naruto fish cake. I tried it without adding anything first. The lightly seasoned flavor allowed me to taste the subtle umami of the vegetables. It was a simple but delicious taste that went down smoothly. Along with the dish came the sauce and pepper, which I added to adjust the flavor to my liking. Drizzling the sauce over the noodles and sprinkling pepper on top, I savored each bite. The combination of the vegetable umami made it slide down my throat effortlessly. Before I knew it, I had finished the dish. This yakisoba, which you can customize to your taste, is sure to become addictive. The other dishes on the menu also looked very appetizing, so I am definitely coming back. Thank you for the meal!

I visited a cafe located a little below Fukushima Town Hall for the first time. It had a very retro atmosphere with old-fashioned game tables. They also had dishes like Abalone Curry and Squid Tempura Pasta that Fukushima Town is promoting, but they were a bit expensive. I decided to have coffee and egg sandwich instead. The sandwich had a bit of mustard in it and was delicious.

When you enter a shop with a historic appearance, you can feel the history not just from the outside but also inside. I sat at a table with a mahjong game machine. I was thinking of ordering cake with coffee, but they didn't have any, so I decided to go with a mixed juice instead. It cost 450 yen and was quite sweet, maybe made with banana, apple, and pineapple. If I had been hungry, I could have ordered something like gratin.
