食べ過ぎ太り過ぎ
For nearly 4 years, Tabelog has been on a break and has undergone various system changes. The way reviews are done now is quite different from before, with many unclear points. In July 2018, when it's hot and your appetite starts to wane, somehow sushi always manages to pique your interest. "Sushi no Matsuyoshi" is a local sushi restaurant. Located in the Nishino area of the Nishi ward, it offers a peaceful contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city center in Chuo ward. It's been 6 years since I last visited this traditional sushi restaurant for lunch, where they also serve hot pot, tempura, eel, and other dishes. The lunch menu includes cafeteria-style options like fried chicken set meals. There are no family restaurants nearby, making it a popular spot for families. On my recent visit, I noticed that the lunch menu had changed quite a bit. The lunch eel dish was no longer available. When we arrived around 1:30 PM, all the private rooms, tables, and counter seats were full. After a short wait, we managed to get a table. We both ordered the "Lunch Sushi Set." While waiting, we were served cold barley tea. After about 30 minutes, our two "Lunch Sushi Sets" arrived. The set included 7 pieces of nigiri sushi (tuna, squid, salmon, white fish, tamago), a gunkan of tobiko, and 4 pieces of rolled sushi. It also came with miso soup made with elegant white miso, mixed with egg, vegetables, and mushrooms. Priced at 760 yen (tax included), the sushi had a decent flavor, although the rice portion was slightly more than usual. It was a satisfying meal for the two of us. The miso soup, which was unexpectedly delicious, added to the overall experience. While the ingredients may not be high-end, the taste was fulfilling. Personally, I love these local sushi restaurants. They have been serving the community for years, and their taste is always reliable. It's a comforting feeling to dine at such a place. After enjoying this sushi, I may not feel like going to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant anytime soon. Perhaps next time, I'll try the "Lunch Chirashi." It was a delicious meal, thank you.
