I had been curious about this shop for a long time. The appearance of the shop doesn't look like a restaurant at all, but the bright yellow sign saying "Curry Rice" on the wall stands out. I always thought the name of the shop was "Curry Uiz," but this time I decided to stop by since it was a good time. I parked my car in the parking lot and stood in front of the entrance of the shop (or house?). Even the entrance looks like a normal house, with a signboard and everything. I wondered if there was another entrance. I gently opened the door and entered. The interior also looks just like a normal house, with 2 tables for 4 people and 1 table for 6 people. The menu is curry only, with options like Pork Curry for 550 yen, Croquette Curry for 600 yen, Cutlet Curry for 700 yen, Chicken Cutlet Curry for 700 yen, and more. The shop owner seems to be a fan of the Fighters baseball team, as there is a Fighters Curry with sausages in it. I ordered the Cutlet Curry this time, and it was served in a simple white bowl. The curry was more like British style with lots of vegetables and fruits, and a good balance of spices. It was not very spicy but had a nice tangy and fruity flavor. The cutlet was crispy and delicious, and the salad that came with it was decent. Overall, it was a tasty and reasonably priced meal. I would definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

I came to "Curry Rice" along the Ishiyama Street in the 18th article of Kawazoe 2-chome feeling like having curry instead of ramen. This was my first visit, even though I knew they had been around for a while. Upon arrival at 11:30, I was the first customer, so I had a quiet match-up with the owner until I left. The interior of the store, where shoes are strictly prohibited, has a clean and homey atmosphere, without the typical curry smell. It was clean and tidy, with no signs of a sloppy personal business. I ordered the Pork Cutlet Curry for 680 yen, which comes with a salad. The plate was deep, and the rice portion was larger than it looked, providing a satisfying amount. The curry had a balance of sweetness from the simmered vegetables and acidity from the tomatoes, with a mild spiciness and saltiness. The spices were subtle, making it light and refreshing. The cutlet was slightly firm, with a home-cooked frying style. It felt like a curry made by someone who is good at it, with a homey touch. The relaxed atmosphere of the place made it a pleasant dining experience, despite the slightly higher price.

Finally, as the snow melted, I eagerly went out. The parking lot in front of the restaurant seemed fine for about 5-6 cars. When I entered the entrance of this house-like restaurant, the slippers at the entrance welcomed me. It seems that ramen shops in this area, including the one I visited before, are currently popular. The interior of the restaurant felt like a dormitory dining room, and I quickly felt comfortable sitting at the table. The background music playing was the Fighters' tough situation from the TV. On this day, instead of my usual choice of pork cutlet curry, I decided to try the interesting "Fighters Curry (680 yen)" as recommended in a previous review. After a while, it was served after a salad and Fukujinzuke. So, I took a bite, and the first impression was that the pork curry base had a hint of acidity compared to regular curry, with a lightly simmered yet deep flavor. I could only confirm the presence of pork as an ingredient. The Fighters Curry also had two types of sausages from the Fighters' origin, which were lightly cooked and added a moderate salty taste to the curry. It was a good experience to enjoy authentic curry in a cozy atmosphere at a reasonable price. Thank you for the meal.

As usual, busy (evidence of a man who can't do his job) running on Ishiyama Street in the Catherine car,,, it's almost lunch time, as expected, everywhere along the road is crowded due to the Golden Week, where is a shop where I can easily park my car,,, oh! A curry house in a detached house that I've been curious about for a while catches my eye, it has a hard-to-enter atmosphere, but (because it's a normal house) let's gather courage and try it! I parked my car and went to the entrance, there is a normal entrance,,, when I opened the door, a normal house, taking off my shoes and going upstairs, the living room is the dining area, the kitchen is the kitchen, truly a normal house, operated by a polite old man, it feels good, there are two groups of customers waiting for curry while watching TV in the living room, a truly normal house, what should I order,,, looking at the menu, I'll have the pork cutlet curry, the regular size is in the 600 yen range, and the large size is in the 700 yen range, this is a good deal, the old man is running the place alone, so it takes time, but that's okay,,, the sound of frying the cutlet can be heard from the kitchen, is it coming freshly fried! Expectations are rising, here it comes! Salad is also included, this is a good deal, quite a lot, now let's take a bite of the curry, this,,, the sweetness and umami of the onions are prominent, are they also using fruits? (※this part may be controversial) there is a firm spiciness within the sweetness, and the pork cutlet,,, judging from the way the back fat is attached and the cutting of the pork belly, it seems to be domestic, it feels slightly hard, perhaps fried for too long, but the base is good, the umami of the meat fat is good, at this price, this level of cutlet is unlikely to be found, really high cost performance, if you ordered a hand-made pork cutlet curry with a large size at K○CHI, it would be close to 1,000 yen, and it would be made with imported meat that is tough and lacks flavor, this was a satisfying meal, the old man's customer service is natural and warm, there are also cheap toppings available, I want to try various things next time, a return visit is decided!

This is a place in Minami Ward, located on the outskirts along the river side of National Route 230. I happened to see a curry sign and a price of 550 yen when passing by Route 230, which caught my attention. The restaurant is not registered on Tabelog, so I was a bit curious. I parked my car in the parking lot and headed towards the shop. Upon entering a normal residential door, there was a regular entrance. I took off my shoes and went inside, where there were three table seats in a living room setting. I sat down and looked at the menu. The basic curry is pork curry with the option to add toppings or ingredients. However, there was no mention of spiciness. The amount of rice was not specified, but overall, the prices seemed reasonable. I decided to order the "Katsu Curry" by adding 130 yen to the regular curry. After about 10 minutes, salad and condiments were served, followed by the Katsu Curry. The portion was larger than I had expected. I tried a bite of the curry sauce first, which wasn't too spicy. Even those who are not good with spicy food could enjoy it, as it was about a medium level of spiciness like commercially available curry. The taste was a mix of sweetness from onions, fruity flavors, and acidity from tomatoes, with spices not being too strong. The pork cutlet was freshly fried, using loin meat at this price. The crispy pork cutlet paired well with the curry sauce and rice, and it was indeed delicious. The amount of rice felt like about 250g, and I was satisfied with the regular Katsu Curry. The restaurant had a homely atmosphere, so I would definitely stop by again when passing by in the future.

On the way to a day trip to Jozankei, I finally visited a shop that had always caught my eye. It was cheap. The curry had a fruity flavor with a spicy kick. It didn't taste like instant curry roux. My 8-year-old son kept saying it was spicy, drank water, and left some rice, but still ate it. The rice was probably around 250g. Although they offer extra large portions, it would be even more cost-effective if they had a mini size for women and children, even if it was 20 yen cheaper. However, on the day I visited, it was the day after Ohtani from the Nippon-Ham Fighters won his first victory at the Sapporo Dome. I wonder if the "Fighters Win Discount" is based on self-reporting...
