In May 2016, after shopping at Yanai Confectionery, I noticed a butcher shop nearby. I decided to check it out and saw three motorcycles parked outside, maybe the owner's hobby? There was a sign outside advertising "500g of seasoned pork sagari for 750 yen," which seemed like a good deal for dinner. Inside, I saw my favorite dish, Jingisukan (grilled lamb), being sold at 1500 yen for 1kg or 300 yen for 100g of lamb shoulder loin. It was reasonably priced, but I had already bought Jingisukan in Nayoro. They also had a variety of processed foods like tsukune, hamburg, and sausages. I ended up buying the pork sagari and sausages. I cooked the pork sagari at home, and it was thick and tender with a delicious sauce. I saved half for tomorrow, so I can enjoy it with beer. I plan to buy Jingisukan on my next visit.
