On Thursday afternoon, July 6, 2023, after visiting the 8th floor of Daimaru and the 6th floor of Stella Place twice, I finally decided on "Ichi-Ni-San" due to the appeal of the children's set and the steamed pork basket. The table seats were full, so I was offered a corner seat at the counter without any complaints. As I sat down, I could see the chef frying tonkatsu right in front of me, creating a pleasant sound of "puku puku" and "poko poko". The tea served was delicious soba tea (this is a drink rating☆). The black pork small cutlet bowl set for 1,380 yen was delicious, with the pork cutlet drained to reduce salt content but still juicy and flavorful. The meat was thin at about 4mm, thanks to the low-temperature frying, resulting in a gentle and refreshing finish. The soba noodles were as thin as Kyushu ramen, and the broth coated them well. The portion was surprisingly generous. The black pork and vegetable steamed set for 1,280 yen came with a large pork soup, and the ample vegetables and pork were well-cooked and tasty. The steamed black pork in the basket was not a lot, but satisfying. Underneath were bean sprouts, sliced kudzu, broccoli, pumpkin, shimeji mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, carrots, sweet potatoes, and rolled cabbage, making the dish rich in vegetables. The ponzu-based dipping sauce was refreshing and appetizing. This set also had a substantial volume. The children's set for 680 yen included warm udon (with a light-colored Western Japan-style broth, not to be underestimated), potato fries, shrimp fry, canned fruits, and orange juice. In total, it cost 3,340 yen, a well-rounded and satisfying lunch with a good amount of food. I look forward to trying the black pork shabu-shabu or black pork tonkatsu next time. Thank you for the meal.
