[January 17, 2022 First Visit] I will be on a 3-night, 4-day business trip in Date City starting from this day. This is my third time staying in Date, including my previous company days, and each time I have stayed at a different inn. This time, I decided to stay at a ryokan called "Nishiki Ryokan." The rate is 6,300 yen per night including 2 meals, tax included, for 3 days. The rooms do not have a private bathroom, and the toilet and washroom are shared, but both the common areas and the rooms are clean. The small communal bath with only 3 shower stalls is available 24 hours a day, and the water temperature is comfortable. The meals were like homemade dishes, not luxurious, but you can bring your own alcohol, so I enjoyed having some snacks with my drinks. There is a resident cat freely roaming around the inn, like a mascot. I noticed it meowing outside the door of the first-floor communal bath after bathing, and when I opened the door after changing, we met for the first time. The next day, it greeted me at the entrance when I returned from work, and on the last day of my stay, I heard it meowing in the hallway on the second floor where my room was located. When I called out, it came to play in my room, and we had a little fun together.
