We were seated at the counter without having to wait, but there were many people waiting for the booth seats, indicating its popularity. Orders are placed using the tablet provided at the table. With a wide variety of sushi options from classic to seasonal, it can be difficult to decide, but we ordered various items with crab as the main ingredient. All the sushi had fresh and delicious toppings, giving a quality that exceeds the price. While there are many conveyor belt sushi chains in Hokkaido, considering the taste of the rice, the atmosphere of the restaurant, the staff's service, and the quality of the products, personally, I think Triton is the best (though this is just my preference). The prices may be slightly higher compared to 100 yen sushi chains, but the satisfaction you get after eating here is worth it, making it a recommended choice when you want to enjoy delicious conveyor belt sushi.

On weekend evenings, I went to Kaiten Sushi Triton at Fushiko. It's usually crowded on weekends, so I had been avoiding it, but I happened to find it not too busy this time. I arrived around 3:30 pm and started with a large and fresh herring sushi and a real minced tuna sushi that had a bigger rice ball than usual. I went to Triton revolving sushi and it was amazing! It was during a weekday afternoon, so the restaurant was not crowded and we were seated right away. Ordering was done through a touch panel system. Everything we tried was delicious, but our favorite was the "Nixon Roll." We planned to spend around 20,000 yen for two people, but ended up eating about 5,000 yen worth of sushi each because the portions were so generous. The staff was energetic and the service was excellent. We were so satisfied that we are already planning to visit Triton again on our next trip to Hokkaido. I believe this conveyor belt sushi is worth the wait. Today is Saturday. I came a day early to celebrate Mother's Day at around 11 am. Luckily, I was able to get a booth seat after just one rotation. Orders are placed using a touch panel. The daily recommendations are displayed on hanging advertisements. Since it's not my own wallet today, I ordered whatever I liked without worrying about the price. Each of us ordered our favorite items, so the table was filled with sushi. However, today they didn't have red tuna. It's disappointing, but I'll make up for it by enjoying the medium fatty tuna. It's consistently delicious. The thickness of the fish and the balance with the rice are just right. The sushi rice is not too sweet or too sour, just perfect. The firmness of the rice is also good. Ah, Triton's sushi is so delicious. I am satisfied with every piece. The fried squid I ordered as a palate cleanser is also really tasty. I think Triton's fried squid is tastier than any izakaya. It was around 10,000 yen for four adults. Even though we didn't drink alcohol, I believe it's a good deal to eat sushi of this quality at this price.

On October 12, 2022 (Wednesday) at 11:00, revisited this day was the last day of my visit home. As usual, I sent my youngest son to elementary school in the morning. I thanked my wife by washing her car, which she drove a lot during our visit. For a farewell lunch with my wife, we went to Triton. Our main target was the seasonal saury! It was incredibly delicious! We were in ecstasy. I have posted many times before, so I thought I would skip this time, but it was so delicious that I had to post about it! Of course, there was not a hint of fishy smell. More importantly, it was so firm and fresh that it didn't seem like a blue fish at all! And what about this umami flavor! The shellfish is cheap, tasty, and offers great value. My personal favorite is the "hokki himo" - the crunchy texture is irresistible. The sweetness of the scallops is surprising. When going with 4 people, each person should take 2 plates and eat one piece from each plate to try a variety of sushi. Splitting the bill evenly is recommended.

Located in Hokkaido, Triton is known as the absolute champion in the competitive revolving sushi industry. I visited the Triton Fukuko store in Sapporo with my family for dinner. The restaurant is located in Higashi-ku, Sapporo, at Fukuko 7-jo 2-chome. Triton is famous for its long waiting lines, and even though we arrived at 5 pm, we still had to wait for an hour to be seated. Triton is part of the "Hokkaido revolving sushi big three," along with Nagoyaka-Tei from Kushiro and Nemuro Hanamaru from Nemuro. Triton was established in 1989 in Kitami, and the Fukuko store in Sapporo opened in 1993. The sushi here is known for its large size and freshness, with the fish sourced from a seafood wholesaler. We ordered a variety of sushi dishes, including salmon, tuna, mackerel, flounder, seared sushi, and miso soup, and everything was delicious. We ended up eating around 15 plates of sushi and the total bill for three people was 7,491 yen. Triton has established itself as a leader in Hokkaido's revolving sushi scene, but with increasing competition, the experience may not be as impressive as it once was. Nevertheless, the sushi was still delicious, and we had a satisfying meal.

The parking lot is really spacious and empty, but the inside of the restaurant is super crowded. Don't be fooled by the large parking lot, make sure to check inside. I ended up coming here because when I went to another Triton, they told me there was a 30-minute wait. The tuna here is really delicious, with a rich flavor. The salmon also tastes really good, and the sea urchin doesn't have a strong smell. I used to hate sea urchin after trying a 90 yen plate at a chain restaurant in Tokyo, but today was different. I really like pickled ginger. I always end up eating too much of it. Even though I'm not at all skinny. It's a mystery.

11/20/2021 (Sat) 15:50 Revisited Hokkaido after a long time. My wife suggested, "Let's have sushi!" so we headed straight to Triton from the station. It was so delicious! It's the season for shirako (milt) of cod, which is only available in Hokkaido during this time. The richness is different from regular cod. The Nixon roll was as tasty as ever. Tuna for just 200 yen per plate is a steal! The squid (known as surumeika in Honshu) was also delicious. Hokkaido sushi is truly the best! I realized once again how delicious it is.

When you're feeling a little hungry, this is the place to go for a snack-like time. On this day, my partner was the main orderer. They love the tuna and pickled radish. The texture of the pickled radish is really good, they say. Our order included: medium fatty tuna, eel, tuna with pickled radish, shrimp battleship, squid guts, seared squid guts, and chawanmushi. We couldn't have beer because the next place we were going to doesn't allow alcohol. My partner loves shrimp, so I gave them one and they thought it was delicious. Even though the lunch rush has passed, it's the Bon season so we still had to wait a bit. I waited inside the restaurant by myself while my family waited in the car. After about 10 minutes, a table opened up. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the sushi isn't going around on the conveyor belt. We ordered using a tablet. I got a tuna trio plate with red meat, medium fatty tuna, and medium toro. Rediscovering the deliciousness of tuna! It's a dish where you can enjoy the differences in cuts. Salmon - there used to be no such thing as salmon sushi, right? Now it's apparently more popular than tuna. The soft texture is really good indeed! Engawa - a dish I always order. When you dip it in the soy sauce dish, the fat quickly spreads out. Even before eating, I find myself salivating. The fat is so noticeable on the lips! Hotate kaihimo - I always eat this too! It became a favorite after seeing Mairebi's post. It has a unique appearance and texture, almost like a delicacy. I might like it more than scallop meat as a sushi topping! I noticed a new touch panel which was convenient. The staff behind the counter seemed less lively than before, which I found pleasing. From the menu, I noticed that the prices were slightly higher than the 100 yen sushi places. I decided to try the "Hokkai Road 3-piece Assortment (530 yen tax included)" which arrived first. The sushi seemed smaller in size compared to before, but the scallops were sweet and crispy, the surf clams had a good texture, and the whelks were fresh and crunchy. I also tried the "Mentai Gunkan (430 yen tax included)" which was recommended. The creamy cod roe was delicious without any fishy taste. I opted for the discounted "Octopus Sushi (190 yen tax included)" which had a subtle fish flavor. The "Seafood Bomb Gunkan (190 yen tax included)" was a mountain of finely chopped red and white fish, perfect for filling up quickly. The "Tuna (190 yen tax included)" had a thick slice with a slightly less intense flavor compared to the cheaper options. I also tried the "Mackerel and Shiso Roll (120 yen tax included)" which was a budget-friendly choice. The "Hokkaido Pacific Saury" seemed to be frozen, but it was a nostalgic taste for the season. The "Salmon (190 yen tax included)" had a generous portion of fatty salmon. The total bill ended up in the 2200 yen range, but the quality of the scallops and the lack of any bad dishes proved Triton's reputation. Thank you for the meal.

Winter is the season for tilefish. I wanted to eat delicious tilefish, so I went to Triton. Due to the Corona period, there are a lot of takeout orders, but there were a decent number of people dining in. I had to wait for about 30 minutes on a Saturday night. The seasonal limited tilefish was so tender and delicious. I also ordered tilefish tempura, but it was a bit too oily like other fried foods and gave me heartburn. The daily recommendation was almost sold out by 7 pm. If you want to eat something seasonal, I recommend visiting early.

On the final day of my business trip, my wife suggested that I should enjoy some delicious seafood from Hokkaido before returning home. So, I revisited this restaurant for lunch. I had steamed tuna, shrimp, whitebait, Nixon roll, eel, squid salad, tuna salad, and fresh squid. Everything was delicious! Especially the eel and Nixon roll were amazing. The fresh squid was also tender and superb. The seafood here in Hokkaido is of high quality. You can't find fresh squid at this price in Kanto. I was able to end my last day of the trip with a smile.
