I visited around 18:30. There were no customers in the store, so I was the first customer. Later, two more groups came in. The lady seemed to be a soba farmer, so I am looking forward to enjoying some good soba. I ordered the grated burdock tempura soba. Personally, I prefer soba with a stronger soba flavor. The tempura burdock was delicious with a crispy coating. This is a place I like and would like to recommend to my friends. I will only give 5 stars on Instagram to places I truly love and want to visit again.

I visited a restaurant I had been curious about for the first time. I wanted to try the burdock tempura. The soba tea I had while waiting tasted delicious. I was happy to have warm tempura dipping sauce specifically for the burdock tempura, along with rock salt. Both the dipping sauce and rock salt were delicious, and the texture of the burdock was great. The soba had a chewy texture, aroma, and a refreshing feeling in the throat. I love it. I thought I would definitely go back.

I had been interested in this restaurant for a while, but I was hesitant to go alone because of its appearance. However, I gathered my courage and went. There were about 5 parking spaces in front of the store, and the location was easily accessible as it is a street-level store. Inside, the retro design made me a little hesitant at first. I ordered the large size soba. It was served in about 7-8 minutes, with a beautiful presentation. The first sip was excellent, with a great texture and smoothness. The soba had a subtle aroma and a simple, elegant taste. The wasabi was also authentic. The dipping sauce was slightly sweet, but still refined. I used to have a negative impression of hand-made soba because some places can be too pushy about their craftsmanship, but this restaurant served delicious soba that I enjoyed!

When you enter through the small entrance, you will find a warm atmosphere inside! I had the "tenseiro" soba. The crispy tempura and thick soba noodles filled my stomach. There were various kinds of tempura, and the paprika tempura was juicy and delicious. I also want to try the unique soup curry soba.

Along the streetcar line, there is a rural soba shop. It was supposed to have moved to Honcho and closed, but it seems to have recently reopened. I stopped by for lunch. I ordered the Gobo Tempura Soba for 1000 yen including tax. The soba noodles are quite thick, so the texture may not be to everyone's liking. The Gobo tempura had a nice crunchy texture and was delicious. It's better to eat it with salt rather than in soup. Many set meals are over 2000 yen, so it may not be a place to visit frequently.

I had a burdock tempura bowl and cold soba noodles. The thick and chewy soba noodles had a nice texture. The burdock tempura was also delicious.

A soba restaurant with a classical atmosphere, playing classical music from what seems to be a fancy speaker. The soba was authentic and delicious. I had the octopus tempura set, and even the tempura was tasty. The soba broth was rich and satisfying.

As the review says, the soba noodles were thick and hearty, typical of country-style soba. It might be a hit or miss for those who prefer more delicate soba like Sarashina. The flavor was good, but it would have been better if the noodles were firm and crispy after being rinsed in cold water. Despite it being a hot day, the robust flavor of the soba somehow felt a bit muted.

There is a suspicious sign for "Medicinal Herb Longevity Soup Curry Soba" on the streetcar street. The interior of the shop has counter seats and table seats. The decor is more like a cafe than a soba restaurant. The prices are 800 yen for 180g of noodles and 1,100 yen for 300g. The main type of soba flour used is called "Kitawase." It is a soba made by grinding the whole buckwheat, including the husk, with a stone mill and then hand-kneading it with water. The Kitawase used here has a unique texture - smooth and chewy. They are known for their thick soba broth, possibly made by mixing soba flour or buckwheat into it. A second branch was opened in Honcho in November 2017, indicating the popularity of the shop. The menu includes detailed descriptions of ingredients, which is helpful for customers to learn more about the food. This also helps in understanding the principles and beliefs of the shop. If you are looking for Medicinal Herb Longevity Soup Curry, this is the recommended place.

While riding the streetcar from Yugawara Onsen towards Goryokaku, I spotted a sign on the left that read "Soup Curry Soba" with the words "Handmade Soba" above it. There aren't many handmade soba shops in Hakodate, so even though it was a bit early for lunch, I decided to stop by. The entrance on the parking lot side turned out to be the "back entrance" and the main entrance was actually from a side street off the tram route. The interior of the restaurant had a chic cafe-like atmosphere with a one-piece counter and a few tables. The menu was extensive, with detailed information about the restaurant, soba, and ingredients. I ordered the "Gobo Tempura Soba" for 1000 yen, which was a bit on the pricey side. The soba was thick and had a strong texture, with a slightly lacking aroma and a rich broth that wasn't too sweet. The tempura gobo had a good crunch and was served with both tempura dipping sauce and Himalayan rock salt. Overall, the meal was delicious, and I was glad to have found a handmade soba shop in Hakodate. I look forward to trying their Soup Curry Soba next time.

Upon entering the store, it takes about 30 minutes before being seated. The atmosphere is quite busy during lunchtime, with 5 table seats and 6 counter seats in a cozy, stylish, Japanese-themed setting. The kitchen is run by the owner and his wife, but the extensive menu seems to be causing some delays. They offer a variety of handcrafted soba dishes, ranging from cold soba to warm soba, with prices on the higher side. The soba has a good flavor, and the dipping sauce is not overly sweet.

I went to eat soba noodles after 12 o'clock in the afternoon. The interior of the restaurant was quite retro and stylish, with a good atmosphere. I ordered the burdock tempura soba, and my companion ordered the tempura rice bowl. After ordering, a couple arrived about 2-3 minutes later, and another person arrived about 10 minutes later, making a total of 3 groups in the restaurant. However, we waited and waited for our food to arrive... and it wasn't until 30 minutes later that our dishes finally came. It seemed like they were preparing all the orders together, as the dishes for the people who arrived later came out quickly. The noodles were thick, hand-made noodles that were a bit chewy and didn't have a great texture. The tempura seemed to suffer from the long wait, but the burdock tempura was delicious. The noodles weren't to my liking, but they had a unique chewiness due to being hand-made. The broth was on the sweeter side. The tempura was tasty. The prices were a bit high for lunch, especially considering the slow service. I probably won't be going back.

I visited a restaurant that my friend recommended. The atmosphere was cozy, with an interior reminiscent of a traditional Japanese house. The menu was unique, with paper attached to picture books to create a menu book. I ordered a burdock tempura rice bowl and soba set (which I think was around 1100 yen), as well as a buckwheat flour galette for two people. The soba set arrived first, with a separate dipping sauce that you could adjust to your liking. It was a nice touch since some places have either too strong or too weak seasoning. However, I felt that the oil used was not very fresh, which was a bit disappointing. The soba noodles were thick and satisfying, cooked just right for my taste. The biggest surprise of the day was the galette. It was probably my first time trying a galette, and the bacon filling had a strong flavor that overshadowed the buckwheat aroma, but the dough was chewy and very delicious. I would love to try other galettes and dishes at this restaurant again. Visit date: June 6, 2013.

When I used to live in Chudo, a soba restaurant opened nearby, but it had moved by the time I noticed. The current location is convenient for me to stop by on my way to work, so I often go there to eat. The seiro soba costs 700 yen and it is made with a thick blend of 80% soba flour and 20% wheat flour. It has a strong texture with a good chewiness and a fragrant aroma, giving a satisfying feeling when eating the soba. The dipping sauce is just right, and the condiments are wasabi and green onions. The soba broth is the type made by dissolving soba flour, which I personally like. I have also tried the burdock tempura, which is highly recommended - it is soft, sweet, and delicious. Smoking is allowed in the restaurant, and they have a parking lot which makes it easy to visit. They also serve alcohol at night, creating a nice atmosphere. I really enjoy the thick soba noodles they offer.

I visited a shop near "Kirinoyu" based on onikuma's post. I tried the soba soft serve here and it was delicious! The texture was firm and not too soft, but the soba flavor was excellent. The cookies also had soba in them, and they were made to order. The portion size was generous and the cost performance was good. The interior of the shop had a stylish izakaya feel. If it's nearby, I would like to visit this shop again to try more dishes. Thank you for the meal. Soba Soft Serve Ice Cream 350 yen

I suddenly felt like eating soba, so I ended up at this place that seemed like a hidden gem. The interior was very chic and clean, with a stylish Japanese modern vibe that I really liked. They had just received a new batch of soba, and you could get 100% buckwheat soba for the same price as the 20% buckwheat soba! The popular dish here is the Gobo Tempura Oroshi Bukkake Soba! I haven't had 100% soba much before, but it had a nice chewy texture and tasted great! The Gobo tempura was different from regular tempura, as it was just the Gobo itself. So you could really taste the crunchiness and flavor of the Gobo. Personally, I think having the grated daikon radish made it a great choice, as it added a refreshing touch to the tempura. The dishes were served in beautiful bowls, and the restaurant had a very tasteful atmosphere. They also offer creative course meals during dinner time, which I'm curious about!!! However, sitting at the counter, I could hear the young staff being given various instructions and scolded by the master and mistress, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I'm sure it's all part of their training, but it made me worry a bit... I hope everything is okay. The food was delicious, so I'm sure these instructions are what make the restaurant great, but next time, I think I'll opt for a seat on the second floor to enjoy my meal in peace. The staff were all nice, but they seemed to have a strong focus on their work and were quite strict.
