July 16, 2023 Revisit "72nd Cup in 2023" Today, my wife is out running errands, so once again I am alone. I can't just stay quiet at home, so I decided to go out for some car-related shopping. I picked up Hanachan and decided to have lunch. Let's go have ramen at that place we visited last time, even though it's a bit of a detour. I really want to try all three flavors, and I have some extra time today. We arrived at the restaurant. There was a red Beat parked in front of the shop, but I was the only customer, as usual. The shop is still being run by the same lady alone. Last time I had miso chashu, so today I ordered salt chashu. I watched the lady cook quietly while waiting. After about 6 minutes, my bowl of ramen arrived. The chashu was...red (laughs). It was a bit unexpected compared to last time. Anyway, let's focus on the meal. I took a sip of the soup. Just as I expected, it had a simple and gentle salt flavor that spread in my mouth. It was a light and refreshing salt taste. The noodles were Nishiyama, and they were cooked just right. Of course, they paired well with this type of soup. Now, let's talk about the chashu this time. It was still on the firmer side, but...

After finishing the meeting, we decided to go for lunch at a place known for its Cantonese ramen. Last time, I tried the soy sauce chashu ramen and found the slightly sweet soup to be delicious. This time, I ordered the Cantonese ramen and it was amazing! The hot Chinese-style broth paired perfectly with the soy sauce. I couldn't stop eating the soup - it was so good! Thank you for the meal! I will definitely come back again!

I want to eat delicious Cantonese noodles. It's hot today, but I'm in the mood for it. Should I go to Asoko in Kurayama? Or maybe Ichiban in Bibutari? Well, after thinking for a bit, I decided to head to Bibutari. I arrived right at 11 o'clock, but the curtain was already up and there were cars and customers inside. I wonder when they opened? Anyway, I had been curious about the "Cantonese Men" (800 yen) since my last visit, so I didn't hesitate to order it. But... I also wanted some delicious char siu. I asked, "Um, can I have char siu with the Cantonese Men?" The lady said, "Of course you can." I replied, "Thank you." The lady is working alone, so the service is a bit slow, but the relaxed atmosphere at Bibutari made it all okay. Following the previous customer, she brought my dish to me. When I slurped the unmixe soy sauce part, I could taste the deliciousness of the soy sauce... but it was a bit sweet. The lady asked, "Isn't it too sweet?" I said, "No, it's fine. Oh, can it be made spicy too?" She replied, "Some people like it spicy, so we can adjust it." I'll try the spicy version next time. The bill came to 950 yen. So the "char siu" topping was 150 yen. If delicious char siu is that price, it's quite cheap. Well, next week I'll go to Kurayama! *But you know, the "Chanpon Men" that the previous customer was eating also looked delicious.

I had been curious about this place for a while. The weather is nice today, so I decided to go for a drive and check it out. I ordered the Miso Chashu Ramen (800 yen). The Google reviews mentioned that the miso was on the sweeter side, and I found that to be true as soon as I took my first sip. The broth was flavorful and the generous amount of hot vegetables on top made the default 650 yen price tag seem quite reasonable. The chashu was my favorite part - it was tender with just the right amount of fat and chewiness. Definitely worth it! The place doesn't have any standout unique qualities, but the atmosphere between the staff and customers was lovely. It may not be for those seeking eccentric ramen, but the relaxed vibe is quite charming. By the way, the Cantonese Men ordered by the man next to me looked visually appealing too. I might try that next time. Also, I noticed the menu on the wall classifying alcohol as "First Class" and shochu as "Superior" - pretty cool, right? * [Whispers] Actually, I wanted to order "Shoyu" instead of "Miso" to the lady, but oh well, we all have those days, don't we?

I have known about this place for a while but finally tried it today. I had the Shoyu Chashu Ramen, which had a slightly sweet taste. Thank you for the meal.

There was a coffee shop that started serving ramen last year, but I never got a chance to go. When I finally tried to visit, it turned out to be their regular day off. Feeling disappointed, I drove towards Yubari and saw a ramen flag. Even though it didn't look promising, I decided to give it a try since there were no other options nearby. I ordered a soy sauce ramen with extra toppings and waited for five minutes. The vegetables seemed undercooked, and the chashu had a strange smell and sour taste, making it inedible. The soup tasted worse than instant ramen. I tried to quickly finish the noodles, but the owner got distracted by a curry rice delivery and left me waiting. Overall, the only good thing about the ramen was the Nishiyama noodles they used.

It's a place in Bibiwakari, Iwamizawa, although it may not be immediately recognizable. If you zoom in and out on the map on Tabelog, you'll understand. The original purpose of my visit was to go to "Milt Coppe," but since it was closed today, I had lunch at "Ichiban" instead. Feeling a bit disappointed, I turned back and noticed a ramen flag that caught my attention. Feeling hungry, I decided to stop by. I parked in the spacious parking lot and entered the shop, where I was the only customer. The proprietress came out from the back, and I ordered my usual salt ramen after looking at the menu on the wall. It arrived in 6-7 minutes, a simple ramen with a lot of bean sprouts, menma, chashu, and green onions. I started by tasting the soup, which had a light flavor. The noodles were medium-thick, curly, yellow Sapporo noodles, slightly on the softer side. The bean sprouts seemed slightly undercooked, and the chashu was homemade momo chashu with a salty, old-fashioned flavor. I would like to try a classic ramen without bean sprouts next time.
