We came here for my wife's birthday lunch and ordered the Akizuki set meal for 3,000 yen. The dishes were all elegantly delicious, but the assorted appetizers with five different flavors stood out the most with its perfect balance of acidity and umami. Although a staff member accidentally spilled a bottle of beer, their response was impeccable. Lastly, we received a 12cm fruit shortcake as a birthday treat for Kyoto Plaza Hotel members, which we took home. It had a hotel-like taste and was delicious.

While receiving the hospitality of a hotel, you can enjoy high-quality cuisine at a relatively affordable price. The taste is impeccable, and the convenience of being able to experience the flavors of Hokkaido at this restaurant is always fully booked. If you plan to go, we recommend making a reservation immediately.

Located inside the Star Hotel in Sapporo, this restaurant offers excellent service and atmosphere, with discounts available for hotel guests. While the menu is limited, it mainly features Japanese dishes such as sushi, grilled dishes, and ramen, as well as some Chinese dishes like fried rice. The food is generally delicious, making it a good option for those who prefer not to dine out in the cold winter. Consider trying this restaurant on B1 if you are in the area.

I had been curious about this restaurant for a while, and tonight I happened to visit it^^ It is located in the basement of a hotel, so the service was impeccable. I didn't order anything too expensive, except for the sushi set of 8 pieces for 4000 yen, but I was completely satisfied with each dish. It was delicious! I will definitely visit again❢

Overall, the flavor of the broth was lacking. Considering the price, it may be unavoidable. The service was good. The elderly women at the next table ordered two glasses of sake during lunch and that was quite amusing (laughs).

Weekend dinner in the neighborhood (within walking distance), occasionally dining out, but still simple. No need to go out of my way for food blog content. The go-to Sapporo station store has been wiped out due to Shinkansen construction, which is a shame. So, after a long time, I visited "Akizu" at the basement of Keio Plaza Hotel. The French restaurant on the upper floors has closed down, and now they offer reservation-only private room kaiseki and a slightly upscale izakaya vibe. They have about three course options, and I vaguely remember dining here for a party once before. The food is Hokkaido cuisine, with ingredients of decent quality. The chef's recommended course was what I opted for this time. Recently, the French cuisine nearby was more Japanese-influenced, with no butter or cream in sight. While French cuisine has been heavily influenced by Japanese cuisine, the reverse seems to be happening as well. But, good food is good food, right? I prefer traditional establishments, which is another reason why I enjoyed this place. The highlight of this visit was definitely the sake selection, featuring a variety of well-known and delicious options. I promised myself to come back for a sake festival next time and enjoyed three different sakes with the seafood dishes. The combination of "Hidaka-mi" sake, a dry and top-quality one commonly found in households, and "Tatsumi" sake was delightful. I ended up pleasantly tipsy and walked back home with a slight stagger. It's always nice to have a reliable izakaya nearby for occasional visits. As a side note, there used to be a famous lunch spot along the Sapporo main street that served delicious yakisoba, but it's been a while since I last visited. I'll have to check it out again soon. Another side note, the ankake yakisoba I reviewed at the riverside Chinese restaurant was surprisingly delicious, setting a new standard for me. It's priced at 1,800 yen, so I might need to revisit to confirm its quality.

Had a lunch meeting with a client - ordered the seasonal sanma lunch set. The presentation was excellent. The grilled sanma was cooked just right, although I personally prefer it a bit more well-done. Still, I could taste the freshness of the seasonal fish. Thank you for the meal!

Monthly Lunch Special: Pacific Saury and Shrimp Chirashi Bowl - 1600 yen
I had lunch at Keio Plaza Akitsu for the first time in a while. The calm atmosphere inside the restaurant, along with their good service and COVID-19 measures, was impressive. In addition to the chirashi bowl, they also offer tempura with udon, and a salad as an appetizer. The Pacific saury was delicious, but the combination with the shrimp and minced meat over rice was especially tasty. I always wonder whether to dip the chirashi in soy sauce like sashimi and then put it on the rice, or to pour soy sauce over the entire bowl. It's a matter of personal preference, but since the soy sauce is often already in the dish, it can be a bit difficult to pour.

When it was decided to have lunch at the hotel, I got excited. I went to Akizu for lunch. I was curious about the sushi counter in a separate room, but I chose a table seat. The slightly dim interior gave a nighttime vibe, even though it was lunchtime. The course meal, "Akizu Gozen," cost around 2500 yen, had a taste and portion similar to a traditional ryokan's kaiseki cuisine. It felt healthy, and I still had room in my stomach, so I also ordered the sushi that I was curious about. The service was provided by young part-time workers, but their constant chatting made me feel like I was in a casual izakaya, which wasn't my favorite atmosphere. I came to dine at a hotel, so that part was disappointing.

I went there for the first time (。゚Д゚。) I made a reservation through the Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo website and chose the course for 6500 yen (including tax and service charge) (。゚Д゚。) I requested in the comments section to maintain a significant social distance (。゚Д゚。) When I arrived, I had my temperature checked and sanitized my hands before entering the restaurant. Normally, two people sit diagonally at a 4-person table. The adjacent tables were not in use to ensure social distancing (´∀`). The course included appetizers, sashimi, grilled items, bread, simmered dishes, sushi, and ice cream (´∀`). Everything was delicious, especially the grilled dish which I think was conger eel. It had a sweet and savory flavor, and eating it with olive oil-soaked bread was delicious (´∀`). The simmered dish was like pork in miso seasoning, the meat was tender and the flavor was great (´∀`). The sashimi was thick and the sushi was delicious (´∀`). I had three drinks, the lemon sour was strong (。゚Д゚。), and I also had plum wine with soda water (*´∀`*). After the meal, I ordered green tea and it came in a big teacup (*´∀`*). To finish, I ordered a small portion of miso ramen with butter. The noodles were firm and the miso ramen wasn't greasy, it was delicious (*´∀`*). It was quiet and I would like to go there again (*´∀`*). The cute Long-tailed Rosefinch birds displayed in the hotel lobby were also lovely and charming (´∀`).

A long-time business partner came to visit, so we chose to prioritize safety and had a meal at Washoku Akizu inside Keio Plaza Hotel. We had reserved the Akizu course in advance. It was a pleasant reunion after a long time. To be honest, in this type of restaurant, I tend to focus more on conversation than on the food, so today was no exception and I don't remember the taste very well. I only truly enjoyed the final course of five pieces of fresh sushi!

Sushi set meal for 1800 yen. Comes with sushi, soba, tempura, and chawanmushi. The side dishes are quite filling on their own. It takes a bit of time for the food to come out, so it's not ideal if you're in a hurry. The taste is pretty good overall.

On Sunday, my family and I came to Keio Plaza Hotel for lunch, and after some deliberation, we decided to go for Japanese cuisine. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was like a traditional local cuisine place with slightly dim lighting. I ordered a lunch set centered around sushi. It was delicious with various dishes like tofu, simmered dishes, and grilled items that had a unique touch. In addition to the lunch set, I was happy to find a buffet-style option with a large plate of simmered dishes and pickles that I could help myself to.

I got a meal voucher and made a reservation to go with my boyfriend. I enjoyed the following luxurious dishes: - Delight Course (March) - Ezo deer jerky - White liver with wasabi The Delight Course included the following 9 dishes: - Appetizer: Firefly squid with yolk vinegar - Sashimi platter with two types of sashimi - Grilled dish: Bamboo shoot wrapped in pork with Sansho pepper teriyaki - Bread made from Hokkaido wheat with olive oil - Simmered dish: Lily root and shrimp simmered in egg yolk with fuki miso - Fried dish: Flounder rice cracker and shiso leaf tempura with pickled seaweed salt - Meal: Three pieces of fresh sushi and clear soup There were high-class ingredients that I, as a commoner, usually wouldn't eat so casually. Especially the "Lily root and shrimp simmered in egg yolk" dish, which I usually thought of as a simple ingredient in oden, was transformed into a luxurious dish with a soft texture of lily root and a chewy texture of shrimp. It was a moment where my perception of the dish completely changed. All the dishes were delicious and easy to eat. The Ezo deer jerky had a unique crunchy texture and a sweetness that made me feel happy as I chewed. It was my first time trying meat in jerky form. The white liver with wasabi was surprisingly mild and lacked the liver's usual strong flavor, making it easy for even those who don't like liver to enjoy. Overall, the service from the staff was excellent, and we had a great time. I would love to visit for lunch next time.

Tonight's dinner is probably going to be soba noodles. When I was little, I used to eat a lot of local soba noodles when I visited my grandma's house. I searched and found a place in Sapporo, Kyoto Hotel Akizu, where I can enjoy those nostalgic soba noodles. The atmosphere is spacious and beautiful, and since I'm dining alone, I sit at the counter. The chefs are right in front of me preparing sashimi and sushi. They recommend different dishes to the customers at the counter, such as sushi, private rooms, and grilled fish. I ordered a beer, the famous Onimushifuto soba noodles for 700 yen, and a half portion of Edamame from Nakasatsunai for 580 yen. The Onimushifuto soba noodles brought back so many memories. I remember as a child wondering why the soba noodles were black. When I asked why they were called Onimushifuto soba, I was told that they have a long-standing relationship with the noodle factory in Onimushifuto, and they use their noodles made with 100% buckwheat. The complimentary dish was a soft abalone, which was delicious and nostalgic. I will definitely come back here next time when I'm craving fish. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I have used this series a few times, where I only posted photos, but let's try writing some text as well. It's a good alternative when you don't feel like going all the way to Susukino. The seafood is not bad at all. As expected from a hotel restaurant.

I visit for lunch. It seems like a place where you can enjoy hotel Japanese cuisine at a reasonable price and feel satisfied. It feels like a place where you can come casually.

I used a meal voucher for a human dock and came here. As expected, it's a hotel restaurant. The fried fish was also delicious.
