There are many famous patisseries in Osaka, but the chef here is from "Nakatani-tei," which is said to be the gateway to Osaka's patisserie world. Located in Kita-Horie, Osaka, "Accueil" quickly became a popular spot and is now considered a top sweets shop. Other famous patisseries in Osaka, such as "Patisserie Lavilier" and "Patisserie L'echelle," are led by seniors who also trained at "Nakatani-tei." The chef at "Nakatani-tei" is known for their expertise in chocolates, but "Accueil" offers a softer, more feminine approach to pastries, not limited to chocolates, with a cute touch. I visited for the first time in 3 years, looking to buy stollen as a gift for a lunch meeting in Kyoto. Surely, stollen from Accueil would be delicious. The shop's name means "hospitality" in French. The showcase sparkles with petit gateaux that look like jewels. Using carefully selected ingredients, the pastry chef crafts each treat with care and dedication, based on classical baked goods and traditional French sweets. While the petit gateaux I bought last time were delicious, I believe the essence of a pastry chef lies in baked goods, so I was glad to find tasty baked treats this time. The cute packaging and boxes make them great for souvenirs or gifts. Thank you for the meal.

It's mid-afternoon so there are still many options to choose from and I'm having a hard time deciding. The hot days are still continuing so I was considering something refreshing, but I ended up choosing the Éclair because it looked cute! The passion fruit acidity balanced out the sweetness nicely without being too heavy. I took it to go, but it's nice that they also have an eat-in space! It seems like the shop is from Nakatani-tei, and the chocolate options seemed to be recommended, so I might try them next time!

I received a Weekend Citron. The corners are not shaved? Weekend Citron. I felt like it was an evolution version. The texture of the dough is very fine, moist, with a small amount of icing, making it a very elegant Weekend Citron. The taste is such that you can eat as many pieces as you want! Today is the second day of a three-day weekend on Sunday. After checking out of the hotel in Osaka Honmachi where I stayed the previous day, I went for a walk to visit various famous sweet shops. The first stop was Patisserie Aquai located just a 3-minute walk from Yotsubashi Station on the subway Yotsubashi Line. They have a counter-style eat-in area with 4 seats. I chose the Tart Peche from the showcase and informed them that I would be eating in. I ordered an iced straight tea as my drink. After about 10 minutes of waiting, the dessert was served! It was a simple cake made of crispy tart, creamy mousse cream, and peaches compoted with white wine and vervain on top. The contrast between the crispy tart and the juicy, fragrant texture of the peaches was enjoyable and delicious, although the compote was slightly too sweet. Thank you for the meal!

This time, I got the Saint Honoré Patisserie to go. First of all, the appearance is fantastic. The sweetness is just right, with a subtle taste of peach, white chocolate, and more. I visited the restaurant during the day and arrived around 5:30 pm, but there were no other customers. Almost all types of cakes were still available in the showcase. The chef here is said to be from the famous Osaka restaurant "Nakatani-tei". I purchased two items this time. <Nokuchurunu 620 yen> This is the signature item of this shop. It consists of dark chocolate mousse, orange-flavored caramel cream, and chocolate biscuit. The chocolate is quite rich and seems heavy, but the orange flavor adds a refreshing aftertaste. <Riches 710 yen> It consists of vanilla and white chocolate mousse, dark chocolate cream, banana jelly, and streusel. The vanilla and white chocolate mousse is rich and has a strong presence. The gentle flavor of the banana and the streusel add texture. Both cakes were impressive with the richness of chocolate. It was fine as my wife and I shared half of each, but if you eat a whole piece, it might feel heavy. Thank you for the meal.

I was curious about a restaurant run by a chef from Nakatani-tei. The atmosphere and lineup of pastries at L'ecurie, also from Nakatani-tei, are similar. The prices range from ¥600 to ¥700, a bit on the higher side. The Caramel Cafe Eclair for ¥580 might be a limited-time item as it seemed to be the last one available. It had a nice balance of coffee bitterness and sweetness, with a slightly fluffy texture on top. The Bebe for ¥620 was delicious, with a strong matcha flavor complemented by the sweetness of white chocolate, and the raspberry hidden inside prevented it from being too heavy. The mousse was smooth and I devoured it in seconds. There were many other tempting treats, and the staff was very friendly. I definitely want to come back here again.

On a holiday around 10:30, there was no parking available. There were about 2 groups already inside. I ordered the most popular item, Nocturnes 620 Canule 330. The cake seemed to have a rich chocolate flavor as its highlight. There was something hidden inside as well, which might be noticeable to some people. The price is on the higher side.

I came to buy a birthday cake. The shop was small, with not many cake options, but they had a good variety of baked goods. I was torn between cakes, but I chose Richez - a vanilla-flavored white chocolate mousse cake with Tonka bean chocolate cream, banana jelly, and fluffy chocolate mousse. The white chocolate flavor was delicious, and the banana added a gentle touch to the cake. My husband chose Blanc Cru - a rich cheesecake mousse with grapefruit confiture and crispy cookies. It was lighter and more refreshing compared to the cake I had. We also bought three types of baked goods, and they were all incredibly delicious. Maybe I prefer these over fresh cakes. The deliciousness of stability. One of the local patisseries, Aquille, this time I didn't buy the usual chocolate items but opted for cherry, Saint-Honore, and Pepe. Saint-Honore is always available at local patisseries, but I wonder if other shops have it too? The sweet and sour cherry was delicious, and the Saint-Honore was crispy. I feel like I've had Pepe before, but the matcha and white chocolate combination is very tasty.

[Visit Date] June 3, 2023 After having lunch at Paradis 2, I walked about 15 minutes to this place. Time to conquer the top 100 sweets shops! Around 12:30, I arrived and there was only 1 customer at the counter. I wanted to relax at home, so I ordered takeout. Without knowing the specialty, I fell in love with Paradis and bought 2 pieces. When I got home and tried them, they were filled with plenty of fruits and had just the right amount of sweetness. They were delicious! I was also interested in other cakes. If I have a chance to visit again, I'll definitely stop by. Thank you for the meal.

Between Nishiohashi and Yotsubashi Station, there is a pastry shop called "Patisserie Aiguille" which is listed as one of the top 100 dessert shops with a rating of 3.64 on Tabelog. This place is rare because you can dine in! Just after 1 pm, there were only 4 seats and they were all full... I managed to take a photo of the cakes first and told them I would be back in a bit. About 10 minutes later, I returned from the Lawson next door and luckily a group of 4 was leaving! I ordered the Nocturne cake for 622 yen and a coffee for 500 yen. It was served in a pot so I should have chosen tea instead, as you can have 2 cups for the price of one... I'm quite frugal, haha. While waiting, more customers kept coming in. The assorted baked goods and canelés were selling well. When the cake arrived, the chocolate cake looked beautiful and glossy. The fork slid in smoothly, and the rich mousse was delicious! The caramel sauce inside was light and not too heavy, which was nice. A cake for adults who love chocolate. It's no wonder it's their most popular item. The coffee was on the lighter side. I added a little milk at the end, but you don't need sugar when pairing it with the cake. I thought the taste was similar to L'avilier, and it turns out both pastry chefs are likely from Nakatanitei in Uehommachi. Having a dine-in option is very helpful for someone like me who lives far away. Buying a cake can restrict your plans and make you feel like you need to hurry back. After me, there were only takeout customers, so I was able to relax in the empty dine-in area. (Please save this restaurant based on this review if you're interested in visiting) Baked goods looked delicious too, but the cake is the way to go!

Nocturne, 620 yen. The number one popular item is the chocolate mousse cake. The chocolate is rich, but with a refreshing orange-flavored caramel cream inside, it leaves a clean aftertaste. I love rich chocolate cakes, and this cake here is exactly to my liking.

This time, I tried cakes with only strawberries, which I had never had before, as I went in the evening. They were all delicious. I have tried many Saint-Honoré cakes, but this one was really delicious! The sweet accent in the midst of the overall sourness was amazing as always.

This dessert called Baba is interesting and delicious. It is generously filled with white wine, creating a fragrant, lively, and smooth flavor. The combination of citrus, pudding (or mousse), and cake textures is well-balanced, especially the moist cake base that is surprisingly delightful. However, although not shown in the photos, the Financier that I took home was the most surprising and wonderful. The crispy surface and incredible aroma were outstanding. I also tried other baked goods, but the Financier left the most impressive impression. It is highly recommended.

This is a cake labeled as "Namba Takashimaya exclusive," and it is on the smaller side. The chocolate part of the cake on the left melts in your mouth, while the strawberry tart on the right has a moist green part inside that is sweet and delicious. It's definitely worth trying these cakes.

When my husband went to Osaka, he bought me some sweets from this shop. There were various sweets available, and looking at the photos, I found that sweets like Confection were surprisingly affordable! The interior of the shop, with sweets lined up neatly, was very lovely, and it made me want to visit the shop myself. Now, I slowly enjoyed what he brought back. The madeleine with a lemon scent had a moist and fluffy texture. It was a high-quality madeleine with a very good buttery flavor. The Engadiner with fragrant walnuts in the caramel part had a quite dark color. When I tried it, it was gooey yet had a good bite, and the walnuts were fragrant and not too sweet. It also had hints of vanilla and orange, adding freshness to the sweetness and nuttiness. The flavor of the cookie part was also good, and I would love to try the Engadiner again. Other items like Financier, Kekfrui, and Kek Ecoce were all of a higher quality than I had imagined, and I could feel the skills of this shop. I definitely want to stop by when I go to Osaka myself.
