My eyes widen. The forecast said it would rain, and it was raining until just now. I'm drinking in Shibetsu, this is my third stop. I can't help but feel like I'm causing trouble by coming. Up until the second stop, I was just another person in Shibetsu, but now I feel like I should be looked at with a bit more scrutiny. It's unnecessary, really. I was worried about the rain, so I didn't go far. As soon as I left the second stop, I entered a nearby establishment. It's a shady place, so when I asked, "Can I come in?" the response was somewhat reluctant, "Go ahead." It felt like a hassle. I ordered a beer as soon as I sat at the counter. The beer is delicious. I realize once again that Shibetsu is a city of Genghis Khan and beer. Even though this is my third stop, everything tastes delicious. I order some dumplings. I hear the sound of searching in the freezer. They don't hide the fact that they're searching through the freezer. They quickly fry them in a pan. "Be careful, it's hot." I welcome the heat. I don't wait for things to cool down. They are meat dumplings and they are delicious. I don't know who made them, but they are tasty. They are not homemade, though. "One cup, one smile." I've been drinking quietly, but I decide to strike up a conversation. The lady behind the counter was talkative. She seemed to have been quite cautious about the coronavirus. I guess it's the same everywhere during this time. I understood that she was being cautious, so I didn't talk much. However, I decided to chat with her. The beer alone was starting to fill me up, so for my second drink, I had a sweet potato shochu with hot water. It was delicious. Some other customers arrived, maybe three or four people. One of them went to the toilet. "Don't forget to turn on the light, it's Kimutaku's spot." The others laughed. "It's easier to understand that way, right?" There was a photo of Kimutaku on the light switch in the toilet. The person came out of the toilet. It seems like the young man wanted to get back to the group quickly. "Leaving the toilet open is like not wiping after pooping." It was funny, but the customer who was told that didn't laugh. The lady didn't seem to care. But, because it's a food place, I don't appreciate that analogy. I really wanted to eat ramen, but I resisted. Now, it's time for the fourth stop, but the rain is getting stronger, so I ran to find the next place, but couldn't find it. The rain got the best of me, so I ran back to the hotel. I managed to avoid overeating. I'm still feeling fine, even after having a beer at the hotel. It's rare to have a solo trip like this. Being alone means I don't get as drunk, but I took a bath.
