I visited the restaurant with friends and their families. The place was bustling, but the female staff members were efficient in serving the course meals, allowing us to enjoy our meal at a good pace. They had fresh ingredients, including local fish. They even had whale bacon, which is not commonly found in Tokyo. The relaxed atmosphere was very pleasant. Thank you for the meal!

I enjoyed sushi at a local sushi restaurant while chatting with the chef at the counter. It's best to go early as they close at 9 pm. The chef and the female servers were all very nice, and I felt comfortable. I definitely want to come back again.

A delicious long-established sushi restaurant where you can eat slowly in a private room. The view of the park and pine trees from the counter window creates a lovely atmosphere. The special sushi, with fresh toppings and perfectly seasoned rice, is incredibly delicious and makes you feel happy. I tried the fresh squid that had just arrived, and it was sweet and delightful, making me feel like I was back in Hakodate. The natto roll was also delicious! Check out more details here: [Hakodate Gourmet] "Raimon Sushi" in Yunokawa serves beautiful sushi with amazing natto rolls.

I called here because there was a fireworks festival and I needed to find a place to stay nearby. The atmosphere at this cozy restaurant was great, and the food was delicious! I highly recommend the Tekka Maki. We had to sit at a table this time because it was a last-minute decision, but next time I want to sit at the counter and enjoy chatting with the chef while eating sushi.

The sushi was fresh, but the vinegar rice was hard and more like regular rice. We ordered the special deluxe set for 2800 yen. The sushi was served quickly one after another, without any explanation of what each piece was. It was my first time experiencing a sushi restaurant like this, other than conveyor belt sushi. It's recommended for those who want to eat quickly. The owner constantly spoke informally, saying things like "Is this okay? It's hot, you know." The spoon for the chawanmushi was placed directly on the table without a saucer, which was surprising. The chawanmushi seemed to have the wrong ratio of dashi and egg, as it turned into a soupy consistency when I tried to eat it with the spoon. When I mentioned this, the owner said that their chawanmushi is softer because it also serves as a soup. Not only the taste, but also the service did not justify the price. I will not be visiting this restaurant again.

I happened to come across this shop while driving and found it. I love fresh shellfish, especially northern surf clams, and they were delicious with a crunchy texture. They also had black surf clams called "kurohokki." I ate quite a bit of sushi as well, but I didn't take any photos. The owner was also very friendly.

Sushi restaurant located in Yunokawa Onsen. "Huh??" The store looks cleaner than the last time I visited (though it was over 10 years ago), but is it the right place? I visited with mixed feelings. During my first visit, I couldn't forget the "Abalone Kaburi" with abalone, abalone liver, and sea urchin - it was exquisite! I wanted to eat it again, so I decided to visit. The counter seats were spacious, and the view of a single pine tree in front of me was elegant, allowing me to have a leisurely time. The "Abalone Kaburi" paired with sake was still a fantastic moment. As a finishing touch, I had a little bit of sushi, and the tuna was from Matsumae. Truly excellent! I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I would recommend eating here as you can enjoy rare clams such as turban shells and black turban shells. The owner is also very enthusiastic and the conversation was enjoyable. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited a sushi restaurant located along the fishing street. The restaurant near the hot spring town seemed to be targeting tourists. The exterior was eye-catching, but once you entered through the curtain, the interior was surprisingly spacious and luxurious. There were 10 seats at the counter and 3 private rooms. Today, I had the sushi set (1,800 yen) which had decent toppings and was served with just the right amount of wasabi. The tea-steamed egg custard with pickled plum seemed to be their specialty, and it was delicious with a rich broth. They offer courses starting from 5,000 yen (excluding drinks). It's not a cheap restaurant, but if you want to treat yourself to something good, you can't go wrong with splurging here.

Located close to Yunokawa Onsen and facing the coast, it is difficult to reach without a car. Following instructions to gather at such a place, I crawled my way there. The exterior and interior were both beautiful, so I wonder if it was recently rebuilt. It has a calm atmosphere. Today, I enjoyed a leisurely sushi course meal. It's nice to do this once in a while. Everything was delicious and well-prepared. However, does chawanmushi always have to be included in every meal? Well, it doesn't really matter, haha. Ah, the whale bacon I had after a long time was really good...

I had heard the name of the sushi chef at a sushi restaurant in Hakodate city and was eager to visit. The location was easy to find, driving along the Gyuho-dori street towards Yunokawa Onsen, the shop was on the left just before the hot spring town, next to a grove of pine trees called Yunokawa Matsubayashi. I ordered the premium sushi set for 2,100 yen at the counter seat. The set included 9 pieces of tuna, scallop, salmon, abalone, shrimp, flounder, crab, sea urchin, and salmon roe, all of which were fresh and delicious. Additionally, a simple steamed egg custard with pickled plum was served, which was very hot but refreshing and tasty. I forgot to take photos of the sushi at the restaurant, but I did take a picture of the takeaway set for 3 people.

Memories of Hokkaido from nearly 2 months ago - a night in Hakodate and Yunokawa Onsen... After enjoying a kaiseki meal at a ryokan, we headed out to visit a sushi restaurant. On June 7th, we visited a place called "Raimon Sushi Yunokawa Branch." It was a casual restaurant located near the main road in the hot spring town. We sat at the counter with a view of a pine forest in the distance. The restaurant was lit up, creating a nice atmosphere. We started with a toast and enjoyed a variety of Japanese sake. The dishes included tuna, shrimp, squid sashimi, sea urchin, and sushi rolls. The meal was accompanied by different types of sake from various regions in Japan. We ended the meal with a delicious plum-infused chawanmushi. Despite being full, the dessert was too good to resist. Thank you for the wonderful meal! This is a place in Hakodate, along the Yuyama on National Route 278, also known as the "Fishing Fire Street". I can't provide detailed directions, so please check on a map. When in Hakodate, you must try sushi and ramen. This time, I decided to visit "Raimon Sushi", a sushi restaurant that caught my eye last time I visited "Kihara". The restaurant has a spacious parking lot, which is convenient. Inside, there are clean tatami mat seating areas with tables and chairs. We ordered the most expensive sushi option, the "Special Special Sushi", which came with miso soup and chawanmushi for only 3,000 yen, a great deal. The sushi was delicious, especially the maguro (tuna) nigiri. The chawanmushi was simple with just a plum filling, and the miso soup had a delicious flavor of North Pacific giant octopus. The meal was finished in about 5-6 minutes. I would love to sit at the counter, order my favorite sushi, and enjoy it with some good sake next time.

I visited this restaurant at the invitation of a local acquaintance. It was a highly anticipated visit as the restaurant is known for being difficult to make reservations at. We had crab, live squid, simmered dishes, grilled dishes, sushi, and I believe it was a course menu. Everything was delicious. The simmered dish, in particular, was recommended and it had tender, flaky meat with a refreshing sweet flavor, which was really tasty. The grilled dish was perfect with alcohol! I definitely want to eat it again. The sushi had excellent toppings, but for someone like me who is used to smaller sushi rice portions, the size of each piece was a bit too much, so unfortunately I couldn't finish them all.

I had been recommended by an acquaintance to visit this place, so I had been wanting to go. It is convenient to use as it is close when staying at Yunokawa. The inside of the restaurant has a new and clean atmosphere. When we arrived, there were already about three customers at the counter, so it felt a bit crowded with just the two of us. It seemed like we were first-time customers, but the staff were friendly towards regulars. Although they don't have a lunch menu recently, the prices didn't seem particularly high based on the menu. We ordered dishes totaling around 5000 yen for the two of us. The specialty omelette was indeed delicious, but the sushi rice was larger than my preference. Since the person who recommended it was a man, I understand why.

I love traveling to Hakodate and visit here "Kaminarimon Sushi Yugawa-ten" every year. I always stop by when I arrive at Hakodate Airport on a Friday around 6 pm. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is a mix of locals and tourists. You can see a pine forest outside the counter, which adds a nice touch to the ambiance. There are some quirky decorations, but they add to the charm. The recommended appetizers and sushi are all delicious and satisfying. The squid, in particular, was amazing with its transparent texture and chewiness. I highly recommend trying the spear squid if it's in season. The complimentary chawanmushi with pickled plum in the middle was refreshing. The chef is friendly and the cozy environment makes it easy to enjoy some sake. Overall, it's a lovely restaurant where you can feel at ease in every way.
