I couldn't make it to Wakkanai for the last business trip project, so I secured accommodation in Nayoro instead. Since I couldn't read the check-in time in advance, I booked the accommodation without dinner. I visited this restaurant where they offer discounts at the accommodation. It's a bit off the main street of Nayoro, but within walking distance from the station. Please check the details on the map. The area around the restaurant is a residential area, so only the restaurant's lights stand out. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor accessed by stairs, with seats that have a private room-like atmosphere. I was escorted to the seat at the back, separated by hanging curtains. I called the waiter using a button like the ones in cafes with lottery tickets. I ordered draft beer first. It arrived shortly. The stove is a modern smokeless roaster. It seems common in all-you-can-eat restaurants, and this restaurant also offers all-you-can-eat for 2980 yen. When I asked if I could do it alone, I was quickly refused. Well, that was expected, so I didn't mind. I started with aged sagari and a large plate of W hormone. While waiting, I looked at the posters and saw the words "Sakaguchi Meats Direct Delivery." Recently, they have become famous for their ice-cold hormones, and they also operate a yakiniku restaurant under the "Taste Park" brand, so I could imagine the taste. You can eat both beef and pork hormones at once, and both were delicious. I haven't tried the ice-cold hormones at "Sakaguchi Meats," but I think the hormones here are a step above those in other typical restaurants. Especially the processing of pork hormones was good. The aged beef sagari was okay, but nothing particularly impressive. Considering the price, the hormones take the lead. The pork tongue looks shiny on the surface. When I tried it, it tasted like sesame oil. I thought it was a good way to enjoy the mild pork tongue with a fragrant taste. Finally, I had the skirt steak, but since I had memories of eating it at an old restaurant, I ordered it. However, I felt there was no difference from the typical short rib, so I rated it as average. After the draft beer, I ordered a shochu with lime, but the color and taste seemed off. It was disappointing. Despite it being a Monday, the place was quite busy, indicating that it may have a reputation for serving reasonably priced and delicious meat. Even when I paid the bill, I found it to be reasonable. I don't think anyone would come all the way to Nayoro just to eat yakiniku, but if there's an opportunity like this, I would consider stopping by. Thank you for the meal.
