I was aiming for a different shop, but it was full, so we decided to come here to have the famous Dojima Roll cake which we haven't had in a while. I was curious about the Afternoon Tea set, but the cafe space was completely visible from outside, which made me a little hesitant. Overall, there were few options available, and since we visited in the afternoon, they only had roll cakes left. The parfaits and fruit daifuku were sold out, and only the canelés were out of stock. Apart from the classic Dojima Roll, they also had a limited edition Prince Roll with strawberries, and cut ends... Cut ends...!? They were selling cut ends at Mon Chéri...!? And for 400 yen for a half-sized portion...!? The Heart Connecting Roll was surprisingly beautiful when I opened it, despite being made up of pieces from the edges. It looked so good that I had to double-check if the staff made a mistake. The appearance was not bad at all, and the thickness was almost equivalent to one slice of the Dojima Roll. It would be more than enough for home consumption. As for the taste, it was, of course, the classic Dojima Roll - fluffy with a slightly chewy texture, filled with a creamy, milky filling. The Prince Roll was intriguing because I love chocolate, but unfortunately, the edge was sold out. It had a moderate sweetness with a hint of bitterness in the cream. The impression was that the cake was fluffy with a thickness to it. However, it was quite difficult to eat due to the excessive amount of powder on top. I have tried cakes and snacks from factory outlets, but without a doubt, this place ranks first in terms of satisfaction and cost-effectiveness. If it were nearby, I would definitely visit it often. It was a pleasant surprise to come across something new unexpectedly! Thank you, wu-ta-san!
