I went to "Hinata" in Minamimachi. I had the water dumpling set meal and the Hinata bento. The Hinata bento was filled with various side dishes and was very delicious. The water dumplings had a chewy skin, unlike the usual fried ones, which was great.

This is my second visit. I was thinking about getting the Hinata Bento, but after seeing another customer's Hinata Bento being served, I gave up. The kakiage looked huge. I ended up ordering the Chicken Katsu set for 750 yen. The Chicken Katsu was quite substantial! The rice bowl was large. In addition to the katsu, there were also fried green peppers and pumpkin. The two side dishes were tasty and generously portioned. The pickles and miso soup were delicious as well. The amount of fried food was a bit much towards the end, but overall, I was satisfied with the taste and portion size of the set meal. Next time, I might try the Ankake Yakisoba for 700 yen.

I visited Hinata Curry to eat Menchi Katsu, but recently the breading on the Menchi Katsu has been too hard, so I decided to try something else and ordered the curry. It took about 10 minutes for the dish to arrive after ordering. For the price, it was quite luxurious with 3 pieces of fried chicken, green peppers, and pumpkin fries. It also came with a salad! However, the amount of curry sauce was a bit small and the taste was just average. But I think it's a good value for the price. They also offer coffee after the meal, and since the place is not too crowded, you can relax and enjoy your meal.

The other day, I was not satisfied with the menchi-katsu I had, so I went to Hinata-san in Minamimachi for lunch today. I had the Menkoro set meal (750 yen). The red side dish seemed to be pickled turnips. The taste and portion were satisfying as always, but lately I feel like the breading on their menchi-katsu and croquettes is too hard. When the owner's mother used to fry them, the inside was juicy and the breading was crispy. I'm not sure if the frying method has changed or if it's the ingredients... Or maybe my teeth have gotten worse. Well, the taste is still delicious.

Just before closing time, I saw a customer's order being prepared and it looked delicious, so I decided to order the same thing, but unfortunately they were sold out of the "Hinata Bento"! I was unsure of what to eat, so I let the landlady decide for me. I ended up with the fried chicken set meal for 850 yen, and the side dish of pumpkin was delicious. They also offered complimentary coffee after the meal.

It is located in a residential area, so you may have a hard time finding it if you don't come here on purpose. The storefront is very modest, so even if you intend to come, it may be difficult to find. Inside the restaurant, there are only two tables and a counter. It is a small shop. A young man cooks, and it seems like his mother takes the orders. The menu includes various set meals, curry, rice bowls, and noodle dishes. I ordered the Hinata Bento without hesitation. The food seems to be made completely by hand for each person. Despite there being only a couple of customers before me, I had to wait for over 20 minutes. The portion size is amazing! A large chicken cutlet and two tempura pieces! The main dish is actually two dishes! I immediately realized that this is a meal where you can skip breakfast and not eat dinner. The chicken cutlet is marinated, so you can eat it without sauce. The tempura with the sweetness of pumpkin is delightful. The sweet sauce goes well with the rice. I couldn't stop eating. When I dipped the leftover tempura sauce into the chicken cutlet, it made the rice even more delicious. Although the main dishes steal the show, the gratin and vegetables were also tasty. As I looked at the menu, I noticed that the Hinata Bento is only 50 yen more expensive than the chicken cutlet set meal, which is a mysterious setup. I wonder if the chicken cutlet set meal will just be without tempura from now on, or if the chicken cutlet will exceed expectations in terms of volume. The cat-themed calendars and clocks also made me feel a sense of closeness. I would like to come here with an empty stomach. It is a small but very satisfying restaurant.

It was located in a place where I don't usually pass by, in a residential area. I was guided by the car navigation and arrived. The storefront looked a bit plain. There were about 3 parking spaces in front of the shop. You can't see inside the shop from outside. I entered the shop with courage. The interior of the shop was small. There were 4 seats at the counter and 2 tables for 4 people. Sitting at the counter, the kitchen was close by. It felt a bit tense. It seemed like a mother and son were running the place, with the son in charge of cooking and the mother in charge of serving. I ordered the visually appealing Hinata Curry. It was cooked right in front of me while I waited. The curry dish that was served surprised me with its size, but the portion wasn't actually that big. It had small fried chicken pieces, fried bell peppers, and pumpkin. The pumpkin's sweetness complemented the spiciness of the curry very well. It was delicious, not too spicy. However, there was not much curry sauce. It was good value for money, but I wonder how it would be as a curry rice dish. I'm curious about the Hinata Bento, which seems to have a good portion. I might try the bento or the chicken cutlet set next time.

Today I had lunch at Hinata. I was originally planning to go to the ramen shop nearby, but it was too crowded, so I decided to have lunch at Hinata, a hidden gem tucked away in the back. I ordered the minced cutlet set meal and tarako pasta. When I feel like eating minced cutlet or croquette, I always come here because the minced cutlet and croquette here are consistently good. As you can see from the portion size, the set meal comes with two large minced cutlets, which is very satisfying to eat! The tarako pasta was a first-time order for me. For 650 yen, the portion size was generous! This place offers great value for money. The taste of the tarako pasta was more like a Japanese-style pasta with fresh tarako sprinkled on top, rather than a traditional tarako pasta. The restaurant is run by a mother-son duo, with the son taking the lead while the mother helps out. The talkative mother will engage you in conversation, but the atmosphere of the restaurant is calming. They also serve coffee after the meal, and with the generous portion size, it's a great choice for when you're hungry. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Located about 200 meters south of Minamicho Junior High School, "Hinata" is a small restaurant in a residential area with parking space for about 4 cars in front of the store. There are 2 tables for 4 people each and a counter with 4 seats. When I looked at the menu, it felt like a regular set meal restaurant, but the prices were surprisingly cheap! Even the most expensive item was only 850 yen! I ordered the Menchi Katsu set meal for 800 yen and waited for a while. In the kitchen, a mother and her son were preparing the food. When the meal arrived, I was shocked by the portion size! It was a huge bowl of rice with two large Menchi Katsu, one Kabocha fry, one fried green pepper, salad (with mayonnaise on the side), two small side dishes, pickles, and miso soup. And to top it off, they even served complimentary coffee at the end! The location seems to attract a lot of students, but it's rare to find a place where you can eat so much for such a low price. I left the restaurant feeling extremely satisfied and already looking forward to my next visit.

I went to Hinata-san for the first time in 7-8 years. I had visited once before, and I remember the dishes being very generous in portion. Today, I decided to go with the Hinata Bento again. The restaurant was clean and compact, with no other customers when I arrived around noon on a weekday. I ordered the Hinata Bento for 800 yen without hesitation. The mother and son who run the place were very friendly and chatted with me. The son seemed to be in charge of cooking, especially the fried dishes. It took about 15 minutes for my order to be ready, and when it arrived, I was amazed by the generous portion and variety of dishes in the bento box. The cabbage was crunchy, the chicken cutlet was delicious, and the vegetable tempura was tasty with a slightly sweet and salty sauce. There were also other side dishes like hijiki and scrambled eggs. The rice portion was quite large, and I left the restaurant feeling very full and satisfied. Overall, the food was delicious and well-seasoned. I would definitely consider revisiting Hinata-san to try their other dishes like hamburger steak or menkoro set meal. Thank you for the delicious meal, Hinata-san!

Today I had a gyoza set meal. The gyoza was homemade and grilled on an iron plate, so it was piping hot. It was incredibly delicious!

This time, I ate a full volume chicken cutlet set meal. I ate until I was full and it also came with a coffee at the end. All of this for only 750 yen, great value!

I couldn't finish this amount and ended up bringing back nearly half. The owner was very kind and quickly wrapped it up for me.

This is my first visit, but when I entered the restaurant, they kindly rearranged the condiments and chopsticks on the table for easy access. The warm and friendly atmosphere is very pleasant. I ordered a bento box with chicken cutlet, tempura, macaroni gratin, side dishes, pickles, salad, rice, and miso soup for 800 yen. The miso soup was delicious, with a slightly sweet and smooth flavor. The chicken cutlet was crispy and juicy, and I tried it with soy sauce instead of the usual sauce. The juicy cutlet was very satisfying. I alternated between the pickles to balance the flavors and managed to finish the meal! (laughs)

I always refer to the reviews of others, so today I went to Hinata at 11:50 am. I arrived early and waited in the car, and a kind mother opened the door for me. The restaurant has 2 tables for 4 people and a counter for 4 people, but when I tried to sit at the counter, the mother said I could sit anywhere. So I decided to sit at a table. I ordered the Fry Set Meal for 850 yen and the Hinata Curry for 650 yen. I asked if I could have extra rice with the set meal, but the mother kindly said I could take home any leftovers. The food took a bit long to come out, but when it did, the curry had a nostalgic taste with tender fried vegetables. The Fry Set Meal included croquette, 2 shrimp, 2 fish cakes, 2 minced meat patties, pumpkin, and green pepper. The croquette had a thin crust and was soft inside, and the minced meat patties smelled delicious with the addition of shiso leaves. I couldn't finish everything, so I asked to take some of the Fry Set Meal home. Overall, the food was hearty and tasted like a comforting home-cooked meal. Thank you to the kind mother and brother for the meal.
