Thank you for the Spicy Miso Ramen for ¥850 on July 20, 2017! (^_^)v.........................Even though it's in front of the station, it's like a hidden gem, how's that? You can park three cars a few dozen meters west. It used to be a snack bar, right? It was my first visit when I opened the door. The special mixed miso is popular, but I'll save that for next time and ordered the old-fashioned shoyu ramen. No customers before me, no customers after me, I must be a jinx (^^;) The master runs the place alone. Let's see, let's eat! Oh, the thin noodles are nice, and the soup is just my taste. I'll definitely come back! Thank you for the Old-fashioned Shoyu Ramen for ¥680! (^_^)v

This is "Shokichi" in Date City. Located at 97-3 Yamashita-cho, Date City. As they describe themselves as a "hidden ramen shop", it is indeed in a sparse location with few streetlights. It is located right next to the Date Monbetsu Station, which would normally be a good location, but there are few people around at night. After drinking with friends in the city, we found this ramen shop on our way back to the hotel. Inside the shop, the counter reminded me of a previous snack bar. There were no other customers at the time. Among the recommended menu items like "Special Assorted Miso", I chose the "Special Salt Ramen". I was intrigued by the use of "Rose Salt from Bolivia". The noodles were firm, which I like. The soup had a unique flavor, with a mellow saltiness. I couldn't tell if it was from the way the broth was made or from the Rose Salt. A truly hidden ramen shop in Date City. I would love to visit again when I'm in Date City.

In Date City, Hokkaido, there is a ramen shop near Date Monbetsu Station with the catchphrase "Hidden gem ramen shop." The shop is located in a hard-to-find area, truly living up to its hidden gem status. From the outside, you wouldn't even think it's a ramen shop - you might think it used to be a snack bar. The shop's specialty is the "Premium Salt Ramen" made with rose salt from Bolivia, which is light and slightly sweet. It's delicious, but not necessarily mind-blowing. I'll try a different one next time.

I couldn't find the place at first and was about to give up, but a neighbor kindly showed me the way. I ordered the shoyu ramen and miso ramen, both were delicious but felt like something was missing! Next time, I'll try the salt ramen and the chashu mayo bowl!
