I came to Mitsui Outlet and decided to check out the deli shop in Hokkaido section. I bought the fried squid for 216 yen, which was a good deal. I also bought a rice ball set from another corner, but ended up getting the same side dish. The name of the shop where I bought the rice ball set was written prominently on the package. The fried squid was a good size and would be perfect for someone living alone or as an additional dish on the dining table. The coating was a bit thick. The char siu rice ball, curry, and rice bowl also looked delicious. It seems like the shop is closed every Tuesday and Thursday. Thank you for the meal.

I came to MOP to buy vegetables and decided to take a look around. I found my favorite croquettes! I purchased the "Kitahiro Croquette" (tax included 120 yen) made with potatoes and ground meat, it has a simple and rustic taste. The flavor of the potatoes really stands out since it's not heavily seasoned. I also tried the "Cheese Croquette" (tax included 120 yen) made with mashed potatoes and sandwiched with cheese. Even though I ate it cold, the cheese was soft and creamy. There were also various types of onigiri that all looked delicious. I'll have to try them next time. Thank you, Chef Kitahiro!

After visiting the grave, I came to "Mitsui Outlet Park Sapporo Kitahiroshima" with my daughter's husband, grandchildren, and wife. They split up and I focused on my food log activity. I wandered around the first floor in "Hokkaido Loco FARM VILLAGE" and stopped in front of "Hokkaido Chef" store. I was drawn to the size and bought the "Bakudan Onigiri" for 330 yen. I paid at the central cash register and met up with my companions on the second floor food court. Since I couldn't eat it all, I took it home. I bought it without looking at the package, but it turned out to be a simmered egg onigiri. It weighs 250g and the rice is cooked firm, seasoned with light soy sauce. At first, it seemed bland, but as I ate more, it tasted just right. The balance of flavors is a bit off, and the egg is cooked to a nice softness, adding a nice touch to the rice. It's a bit pricey, but the size is larger than usual and doesn't feel overpriced. I would like to try other side dishes as well.

Welcome.---------- November 2018 ----------Located inside the Mitsui Outlet Park Kitahiroshima Hokkaido logo, the deli shop seems to offer dishes prepared by a chef using local Hokkaido ingredients. I tried the pork zangi (150g for 324 yen), which is a good value for its price. I usually prefer beef, but pork zangi is not commonly found. The pork zangi was served at room temperature, so I heated it up. It became softer and had a chewy texture, with a distinct pork flavor that couldn't be masked by garlic and ginger. The pork zangi is made from Danish pork, which gives it a unique taste. Each bite revealed a different part of the pork, with varying textures and flavors. As it cooled down, it became slightly tough. The bomb onigiri weighed 250g and cost 324 yen. When I cracked open the egg, the half-cooked yolk had a delicious melt-in-your-mouth texture. The dreamy flavor of the onigiri, cooked in a soy sauce-based broth, was indescribable.

I tried the amazing Namara Zangi Man at a fascinating meat bun shop in Hokkaido. It's a juicy zangi (fried chicken) with a ginger-flavored zan-tare sauce inside a rugby ball-shaped bun. The bun is huge and when I bit into it, I was surprised to find a large piece of fried chicken inside! It was very tender and easy to eat, with no weird feeling at all. Having fried chicken inside a meat bun is definitely a great idea!

This unique Chinese bun shop looked delicious. I bought it because it was at the Hokkaido Fair at Fukuoka Mitsukoshi. The "Salmon Chanman" is a miso-flavored Chinese bun with chunks of salmon, which I thought was a new and interesting item not commonly found in convenience stores. The "Super Delicious Pork" is a meat bun with sweet and savory braised pork and cheese, which was incredibly delicious.

I came to Mitsui Outlet Park in Kitahiroshima. It's a bit of a hassle, but my daughter was too busy to buy a birthday present for my eldest son, so I had to come. I don't often hear Japanese, but my money keeps disappearing even though I haven't bought anything for myself. I was intrigued by the "pork karaage" for dinner. I also bought some "croquettes" and "cheese and potato croquettes". I decided to try the pork karaage for dinner with some beer. The food was surprisingly delicious, even though it got a bit tough as I ate it. The croquettes were also surprisingly tasty, much better than a convenience store brand. Overall, I didn't have high expectations, but the food here is quite delicious.

In January 2016, this shop is located on the 1st floor of Mitsui Outlet Park in Hokkaido. I sometimes visit Mitsui Outlet on weekdays for a calm shopping experience, and whenever I do, I always stop by this Hokkaido Loco where I can buy fresh vegetables, fish, and safe ingredients. I bought something that looked like freshly fried meat buns, and it was delicious! The fried dough was crispy, and it was filled with plenty of finely chopped pork simmered in soy sauce. It was soft, well-seasoned, and delicious. Thank you for the meal! ✿ฺ(๑´ڡ`๑)✿ฺ.

At the Hokkaido Farm, there is a shop on the right side. They have croquettes and minced cutlets, I think? Around 3 pm, there were hardly any side dishes left, so I was thinking of getting some chimaki, but at that time, I was extremely hungry. I saw the "bakudan onigiri" next to me, and it was on sale at 20% off, so I ended up buying it. When I was eating it, I casually looked at the calories. 153 kcal per 100g. I wondered how much that would be for one whole onigiri. Even though I have a big mouth, my hands are small, so I couldn't eat the egg and rice inside smoothly, and ended up using a plate. It's hard to eat it outside as it's an onigiri... I don't know the calorie count, but I finished it quickly. Thank you for the meal.

Potato croquette, minced meat cutlet, cream croquette, fried chicken, fried pork - all are average in terms of taste and quality. They are comparable to supermarket deli items. The cream croquette and minced meat cutlet are slightly more delicious than the others.

There was a local product exhibition at the Kintetsu Department Store in Yokkaichi City, and I bought some items from a steamed bun shop that was set up there. The shop sells steamed buns, but they look quite similar to Chinese buns. They come in various flavors with ingredients unique to Hokkaido. Instead of calling them steamed buns, they could be better described as "Hokkaido buns." They were being steamed on site, so they could be eaten right away, but they also had frozen ones available for longer storage. The most popular one was the "Namara Umai Buta," which has pork belly and cheese inside. The staff personally recommended the "Hotate Man," so I bought one of each. Both can be heated in the microwave for just 2 minutes, making them easy to enjoy. As for my impressions, the dough is soft and chewy. While they look like Chinese buns, the texture is clearly different. The Namara Umai Buta has tender meat with a rich flavor, while the Hotate Man is filled with plenty of scallops and has a rich taste from the onion sauce. Of the two I tried, I would recommend the Namara Umai Buta.
