Recently, I have had a lot of work in the Hidaka area, and with tight schedules, I have been eating at Sekoma-san. It had been a while since I last visited, so anything delicious from the hot chef would have been fine, but on this day, I had the pork bowl. It was very good with the added touch of sansho pepper powder. I enjoyed it very much.

I arrived in Shizunai, Shin-Hidaka Town in the morning from Sapporo. I had a non-stop drive, so I took a break for rest, time adjustment, and breakfast. The cherry blossoms along the Nijukken Road are already over, and there was no traffic jam, so I could arrive smoothly. My purpose is to visit a thoroughbred farm in Shizunai. I arrived a little early, so I decided to adjust my schedule. In rural areas where there are few people, Seicomart is often found, and in the past, it was common to have breakfast or lunch at the hot chef corner. When I looked at the hot chef corner, there were only large rice balls, what a pity. I bought one rice ball with crushed clam and mountain wasabi flavor, and a plate of yakisoba for 110 yen, and had breakfast. The rice ball with crushed clam and mountain wasabi flavor was interesting. The combination of soy sauce-flavored crushed clam and the flavor of mountain wasabi made the meal enjoyable. The yakisoba was served in a small portion, which was also good. If you want to eat more, you can buy another flavor for 110 yen. Now, after refueling, I will head further into the mountains!

I worked in Shin-Hidaka Town (formerly Shizunai Town). The name Shin-Hidaka Town doesn't ring a bell at all. At lunchtime, I went to Seicomart's Hot Chef. It was just before noon, and it was quite busy. There wasn't much stock of bento boxes left, but I managed to get the last Katsudon. I was considering other Hot Chef bento boxes, but my hand reached out for the Katsudon (laughs). Now, time for tasting! "The katsu is so tender and delicious!" "The sauce soaked into the rice is amazing!" Since I travel for work and business, I have a feeling that I'll be trying more of Seicomart's Hot Chef series (laughs).
