▼About the Shop▼
Established in 1898 in Otaru and relocated to Tomakomai in 1912, Three Stars is a long-established confectionery shop known for using local specialty Haskap berries in their signature confection, "Yoitomake." They offer a variety of confectioneries, some stores also sell bread, and currently operate around 30 chain stores.
▼Menu▼
Their menu consists of various Western-style confectioneries with a focus on Yoitomake, as well as cakes.
▼What I Ate▼
▽Cream Puff 110 yen▽
A simple-sized cream puff with a light and slightly thin choux pastry. The cream inside is a smooth mixture of whipped cream and custard, offering a delicious balance of sweetness.
▽Taru-mae Custard 120 yen▽
Inspired by Tarumae Mountain, this sponge cake with a creamy custard filling has a nice texture and a delicious taste.
▼Impressions▼
Three Stars is a prominent confectionery chain in Tomakomai, known for their Yoitomake made with Haskap jam. The Ishikari store, located within Coop, offers a variety of Japanese and Western confectioneries, including cakes. During my visit, I tried the cream puff and Taru-mae custard, both of which were simple, affordable, and quite tasty. While Three Stars is famous for Yoitomake, I found these confections to be equally enjoyable.
