Hidden gem! On this day, we were the only customers... If you want to eat steak bowl in the Niseko area, this is the place to go!! A superb steak bowl made with sirloin core. The fact that you can have ochazuke afterwards is the best♪ On this day, we also visited Yuusenkan in Rankoshi Town for a bath! As always, a good quality onsen and a sweat-inducing sauna for just one coin. And a refreshing cold water bath. Plus, it was empty and perfect!! After warming up our bodies, we headed to Kobito-san which opens at 12 o'clock. We entered the restaurant through a low door. Since this is my fourth review and I'm running out of topics to write about, I decided to try the Premium Steak Bowl (1,760 yen) instead of the regular steak bowl (1,265 yen) this time. Oh, and the way of ordering was a bit different as well, you have to scan a QR code to place your order. This style seems to be getting more popular recently. I also added the "set" which includes extra rice, miso soup, and pickles for 165 yen. The sizzling sound echoing through the restaurant was so soothing. After a short wait, the food was served. - Hokkaido Premium Steak Bowl + "Set" 1,925 yen - Hokkaido sirloin core - Thinly sliced Japanese beef thigh - Japanese beef sirloin These three types of meat were luxuriously piled on top, and it was amazing! The Japanese beef slices were thin and you sprinkle salt on them, and they were so delicious!! The rice just kept disappearing. It was delicious even when topped with steak sauce. Oh, so delicious! The Hokkaido sirloin core was also amazing, it didn't lose to the Japanese beef!! It had a solid meaty texture and was delicious. It paired perfectly with yuzu pepper. This is truly a premium steak bowl!! I quickly finished the first bowl, then had the extra rice! The rice at this restaurant is made with Rankoshi-grown rice, and it was incredibly delicious!! After eating about half of the second bowl, I made it into an ochazuke. The broth was also incredibly delicious. It's sad that this place is pretty empty considering you can get a high-quality steak bowl for under 2,000 yen in the Niseko area. Perhaps because you have to drive there, but it's disappointing. Since their main business is running an izakaya, they might be doing prep work during lunch hours, but Kobito-san's steak bowl is really delicious, so I highly recommend trying it out. However, regardless of the price, if you're going to have ochazuke, I think the regular steak bowl might be more suitable. Japanese beef has a bit of fattiness, so when you pour the broth over it, it tends to melt away. It might just be a matter of preference though... I will definitely come back again. Next time, I think I'll go for the regular steak bowl♪ As of January 28, 2023, this restaurant has a potential rating of 3.08-3.30 on Tabelog, and it's definitely a great place to visit! *Note: I forgot my smartphone at home this time, so the photos were taken with my companion's phone.

After skiing in Niseko, I had lunch at Kobito-san and had their Hokkaido beef steak bowl - a huge portion of Hokkaido beef - so tender you don't even need to chew! It was incredibly soft. They made the steak bowl in a hitsumabushi style, and the dashi they poured over it at the end was delicious. The quality of the food for the price was excellent! I finished it all in no time. Thank you for the meal! 🙌

Visited on July 18, 2023! Steak bowl lunch with egg yolk & mountain wasabi topping for 1,375 yen. I saw a flyer in the lobby when I went to Niseko Grand Hotel the other day, so I decided to visit. The meat was not too tender, but I could taste the rich flavor of the meat. It was a shame that there was no sharpness from the mountain wasabi, but maybe I didn't need to choose the topping after all.

While strolling around Niseko, I felt like having ramen and decided to stop by this place. I ordered the Kobito Chashu Miso Ramen for 1400 yen and Gyoza for 500 yen. My impression was that this was not a ramen shop's ramen, but more like ramen from an izakaya. The soup was quite salty, lacking depth, and felt somewhat like instant ramen I've had before. After leaving the restaurant, I realized it was actually an izakaya, and felt that it was my fault for not researching properly before entering. However, among the three types of chashu, the seared chashu was delicious. This was the last ramen of my Hokkaido trip, so I learned that I need to research properly before trying out new places.

Visited around 12:40 on a Friday in October 2021. There was a sign across from the Niseko Michi-no-Eki, and I decided to visit as steak for lunch sounded good. It was about a 15-minute drive from the Michi-no-Eki. The parking lot is in front of the restaurant. There were no other customers when I arrived. The restaurant is called "Kobito," and the door is small, so even people who are not very tall need to be careful of their heads. Inside, it had the atmosphere of an izakaya for the evening. There were wooden tables and chairs. There was a menu for Russian dumplings on the wall. It seems like it would be a lively place to hang out with friends at night. The restaurant played J-pop music in the background, with nostalgic songs like Do As Infinity. My wife ordered the steak bowl for 1,100 yen, and I ordered the premium steak bowl for 1,500 yen. These prices are before tax. The meat used is Tokachi beef, and the premium steak bowl includes cuts from the thigh, loin, and sirloin. You could hear the sound of steak sizzling. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. If you need more, they also bring steak sauce. They also serve kelp and bonito dashi, like for ochazuke. There were rock salt, lemon, and yuzu pepper for seasoning the meat. First, I tried the steak with just the steak sauce, slightly rare, and the meat was tender and delicious. The green onions and garlic chips on top added a nice texture and flavor. The steak sauce was refreshing. Next, I tried it with rock salt, which also paired well. The lemon was refreshing, and the yuzu pepper also complemented the dish. Lastly, I added the dashi to make ochazuke. The rareness of the meat disappeared, and it transformed into a completely different dish with the umami of the dashi. I enjoyed various flavors in one bowl and finished it in no time. It was delicious. It seems like a place that deserves more popularity, but maybe the location makes it challenging? Thank you for the meal. I would like to visit again.

The lunch was a steak bowl with tender meat, good sauce, delicious broth, and tasty broth tea. There was also egg yolk and wasabi. The restaurant, called "Kobito," was a bit hard to find near Niseko Panorama Line, opposite Niseko Grand Hotel. Despite the loud noise coming from the kitchen, the steak bowl for 1100 yen was delicious and the menu was interesting. I would definitely want to come back again. There is also a Kutchan branch.

【No smoking】Enjoy winter sports in Niseko area, which is popular worldwide, and relax in the abundant hot springs. There is a new izakaya in the Konbu Onsen area, located on the border between Niseko town and Rankoshi town. They offer seafood from Rebun Island, yakitori, ramen, sushi, sukiyaki, and more, which is highly satisfying for foreign tourists. The noodles are from Nishiyama Seimen. They serve lunch as well. Even if you order alcohol, there are no appetizers, but instead, a service charge of 10% will be added to the bill. The restaurant is located about 100 yards from the entrance of Koigawa Onsen, down the hill from the T-junction of Route 66 and Route 207 towards Niseko. Visited on February 20, 2018, at 8 p.m. This restaurant caught my eye during a cycling trip to Niseko last summer, and it has been on my mind since then. It was also one of the purposes of this ski trip. It was mostly downhill from the lodge, so I decided to run there. The journey that took more than 20 minutes on the way there only took 7-8 minutes on the way back. When I entered the restaurant, it was super crowded! All the table seats were taken, so I squeezed into a corner of the counter next to a couple. The customers were about half Japanese and half foreigners. The staff were all young and there were many of them, which made the turnover seem high. I initially planned to have ramen from the start, but since there was a service charge and no appetizers, I decided to have a light drink. I ordered a Samurai Sour for 600 yen, which is easy to drink with sake-based plum syrup and carbonation. I then ordered Spicy Miso Ramen for 1,000 yen, with an extra spiciness level (2x) for an additional 100 yen, and handmade croquettes for 690 yen. The ramen had a good broth, the noodles were cooked slightly soft, and the spiciness was really hot for me. The croquettes were delicious with fluffy potatoes. The staff were full of energy, and it was a place where you could experience various aspects of Japan. If you have the opportunity to guide foreign tourists in this area, I recommend this place.
