I felt like having tempura for lunch and came across "Sonobe" restaurant. I decided to go in. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere with a large fish tank where fish were swimming. The tempura was generous in portion, and they served the sauce separately so I could put it on to my liking. The batter was crispy, just like you would expect from a traditional Japanese restaurant. The miso soup was also delicious with a rich broth. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

I was nervous when I went, but the service was casual. The tempura was really delicious, with the shrimp being a bit rare inside. The vegetables were beautifully colored and the tastiest part of the meal. The pork cutlet was a bit thin but had a good texture and was juicy. However, the vegetables seemed to have excess water as the plate got a bit soggy. Fortunately, the plate was big enough to contain it. The yakisoba with thick sauce turned out to be on the sweeter side. The portion was quite large, almost to the point of getting full by the end of the meal!

Having lunch in Nakajima-cho. I visited a small izakaya located on the north side of Route Inn GRAND Muroran, with a cozy atmosphere and a counter in the shape of a "コ". I ordered the recommended dish from the board menu, "Ankake Yakisoba" (1100 yen). While reading the newspaper, the dish was served in just 8 minutes. The owner asked if I wanted vinegar, so I said yes. The dish was served on a pretty large plate, with a standard amount of noodles but lots of toppings. Scallops, shrimp, quail eggs, shiitake mushrooms, bean sprouts, carrots, bamboo shoots, choy sum, pork, cabbage, and more, with a ginger-flavored soy sauce topping that was not too sweet. The noodles were well cooked and slightly firm. The overall portion was generous, so the mustard and vinegar provided for seasoning came in handy. Despite feeling full, I managed to finish it. After the meal, a cup of hot coffee was served, allowing me to enjoy a coffee break while reading the newspaper. The atmosphere was nice, and the food seemed promising, so I might consider coming back at night when staying at a hotel in Nakajima-cho.

While looking for a lunch spot, I happened to come across this place. It had a Japanese atmosphere. When I opened the heavy door (due to a problem with the hinges), I saw a counter in the shape of a "C" with 12 seats, and a small raised seating area with tatami mats and comfortable chairs. There was a fish tank in the back of the counter. The background music was soothing. For lunch, I had the special seafood bowl for 1000 yen. It was the same price as the cheapest yakisoba dish, so I didn't have high expectations. However, when it was served, it came with small side dishes and looked much more luxurious than I had imagined. The appearance and portion size were satisfying. I'm not a fan of the thin strips of egg on the rice, but it was tolerable. The scallops and white fish were delicious, but the flying fish roe was a bit too salty. The boiled komatsuna with strong dashi flavor was tasty, but don't put soy sauce on it. The pickles were disappointing, not what you would expect from a traditional Japanese restaurant. The meal even came with coffee, which was a nice touch. I felt satisfied. While eating, I noticed a sign high up on the wall advertising an eel bento box, but I couldn't see the price. They also offer set meals for around 2000 yen in the evening. I would like to come back again, but I'm not sure what I would order next time. They only accept cash for lunch. Thank you for the meal!

There was a person who ordered curry when I visited before, so I paid attention to the pork cutlet curry and wondered if it was delicious. The taste was not bad, not particularly delicious, but it was not too spicy and had a normal level of deliciousness. However, if the pork cutlet curry costs around 1500 yen including tax, there are other options available. It seems like there are not many places around here where you can eat pork cutlet curry normally.

The last time I had the tempura bowl lunch and it was delicious, so this time I tried the seafood bowl lunch for 1100 yen. The seafood bowl was beautifully arranged and tasted delicious, but the only disappointment was that the shrimp was not raw. I'm not sure if they couldn't get it in stock that day. As usual, a small cup of coffee was served after the meal. Overall, I was satisfied with the experience.

I went to "Sonobe" for lunch. I arrived before noon and ordered the tempura bowl (mixed for 1100 yen). While waiting, it became lunchtime and more customers started coming in, so by the time I left, the place was quite busy. When the tempura bowl arrived, I poured the sauce on it myself. The tempura had a crispy coating and the ingredients were delicious. The miso soup was also tasty with red miso. The coffee after the meal was served in a small cup, which was cute. It was the first time in a while that I had such a delicious meal, so I am interested in trying other items on the menu and would like to visit again.

The work in Sakimori-cho finished in the morning... I visited Nakajima-cho for lunch, where there were 4 customers before me and 9 customers after me, all regulars. The background music was the soothing sound of a koto. I ordered a tempura rice bowl with less rice. The style was to pour the sauce by yourself. The tempura included shrimp, eggplant, shishito peppers, lotus root, and shiitake mushrooms, along with a piece of rolled omelette. It was hot and crispy, and delicious. An order for a seafood bowl came in, and the chef picked up his knife. It's sure to be delicious. I have to come back again to enjoy another delicious meal! The taste is okay, but the food takes a long time to come out. The prices are also high for the level of quality.
