I remembered that there is a fruit sandwich shop at Ion mall. They have limited edition fruit sandwiches on weekends, made by Mr. Igurek using fruits from this shop. Today they had three varieties: strawberry, Shine Muscat, and mixed fruits. The Shine Muscat and cream cheese combination was delicious. The sandwich also had figs, strawberries, oranges, kiwis, and bananas. But I still think that fruit sandwiches are tastier when eaten at the shop.

This weekend, I passed by a fruit shop where delicious-looking fruit sandwiches were lined up, and people were stopping to take a look. The store is registered as "Kishiro" but it should be spelled as "Kishiro". Personally, I don't eat fruit unless my wife forces me to. I thought I had no connection with fruit, but my wife wanted to feed her favorite watermelon to my father-in-law who is battling illness... I was really at a loss. Even after visiting about six supermarkets, I couldn't find watermelon in Hokkaido in March, but miraculously I found it here. It was a rather small watermelon. The shop owner said that greenhouse watermelons from Kagoshima are currently in season. He said the skin is thin and sweet. I tried a bite at home and indeed, it was as delicious as a summer watermelon. My father-in-law, who was having trouble eating, seemed to enjoy it as well, so it was worth the search. I am grateful for this specialty store.

Located on the west side of Aeon Uraisou, with easy access by car. Limited sales on weekends, collaborated with Patisserie Igurek, I tried their fruit sandwiches (takeout). Mango (¥370) is a double-layered, 10cm short side isosceles triangle, 3.5cm thick. It has mango sandwiched between whipped cream and sour cream. The taste is excellent, with a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. It combines the best of bread and sweets. Highly recommended. Strawberry Daifuku (¥400) is the same size, filled with whipped cream, sweet red bean paste, mochi, and strawberries. The taste is exactly as the name suggests. Unfortunately, the strawberries are unevenly distributed. On this day, there was also a Mixed Fruit option (¥370) available. It includes berries, pears, and other seasonal fruits. Personally, I hope they offer a budget-friendly banana option year-round.
