Alcohol for 200 yen is the best! The classic atmosphere is great, and the edamame is plentiful. You can drink many cups just with the edamame. The town seafood platter is also excellent, with delicious vinegared rice. It's best to make a reservation. If you do, you can get a booth seat. Without a reservation, you may end up at the crowded counter.

It's ridiculously hot every day. It's hard to sleep, so I can't survive without a drink. So, I came with my usual partner. Last time we went to the second best place, but this time we went to the top spot. I arrived a little early, so I explored the area. There were ramen shops, standing soba shops, and sushi restaurants nearby. The main place opened first, so I went in first. Unlimited photo taking (laughs). I didn't go for the 3000 yen all-you-can-drink option, just ordered individual drinks. But with beers, highballs, etc. only 200 yen each, I drank to my heart's content. Started with a beer. For snacks, I had plum cartilage and chicken salad. Both were excellent choices. Delicious. I kept drinking beer for a while, then added a seafood platter and simmered chicken liver. For drinks, I went with my recent favorite Dewar's highball and a red ginger sour. The red ginger was amazing. It could even pass as a snack. I actually ate it as a snack (laughs). Finally, I ordered another beer, and the first stop was over! Oh, it was delicious and refreshing (laughs). I feel alive again.

On Friday night, after finishing overtime work, I headed to a ramen shop in Susukino at 10 pm, but gave up due to the long line and decided to go for a cheap drinking session instead. I haven't visited the main castle for a while, as I've been going to the neighboring Ninomaru recently. The classic draft beer is still priced at 220 yen, which is very much appreciated. The original Zangi for 660 yen is as unbelievably generous as ever, with a mountain of chicken overflowing from the bowl. It's like having two servings of chicken in a soup curry dish. The portion is so large that if you're dining alone, you'll have a hard time finishing it all unless you're really hungry. Two classic beers for 1,100 yen is a bit over the budget for a cheap drinking session, but it's still within an acceptable range. I'm more concerned about the calorie overload than the cost.

It's Saturday night around 8pm after a live show, and this place is almost full. I came here to quench my thirst with a 220 yen draft beer. The chairs are a bit hard so it's not a place to linger, but it's great for a quick drink and snack, all for under 3,000 yen. Despite thinking it might be a spot for older gentlemen, it's actually bustling with people of all ages and genders. The staff were also really nice.

It's a popular izakaya with a lot of salarymen and university students. The counter seats are almost always available! It's cheap. It might be good for people who drink a lot of alcohol or eat a lot. The food is decent for the price. Their specialty, like pork stick, is mostly fat and batter, so I couldn't handle it (gives me heartburn). I used to be able to eat it in the past. The drinks are also cheap, so it might be nice to go for a light drink and snack at a second place. I wonder if they have any delicious menu items? Thank you for the meal.

Sapporo Classic draft beer can be enjoyed for 220 yen including tax at a budget-friendly izakaya. It's a bit of a walk from Odori Station underground passage but conveniently connected to the exit. As the name suggests, it's a casual pub, recommended for those looking to enjoy the Sapporo atmosphere affordably during business trips or solo assignments. Visited on a Saturday night after 9 pm, there were 4 people at the counter and 2 at the tables. Being underground, it's hard to say if the ventilation is good, but it wasn't crowded. The seafood assortment in a box was 650 yen (excluding tax) and a Classic draft beer for 200 yen (excluding tax) to start. The beer comes in a decently-sized glass. The assortment seemed small at first, but it included 2 pieces of tuna, 2 pieces of bonito, 2 pieces of octopus, scallops, a large shrimp, tuna sashimi, and rice underneath. Quite a generous portion. The tuna and bonito were average, while the shrimp and scallops were okay. The staff's service was good, and I enjoyed 3 glasses of beer comfortably, all for under 1500 yen. The cost performance is amazing. Snacks like pickles and cucumber are priced between 200-400 yen each. Main dishes like various assortments, yakisoba, zangi, and pork bowls are around 500-700 yen. There's a second branch called Ninomaru in the same building's underground mall, serving gyoza and Chinese dishes. They are open until midnight, so I plan to visit again in the future.

On the first day of my business trip to Hokkaido in July 2022, I had dinner at a restaurant near my hotel. The welcoming service at "Yagiya Don de Taisho" lifted my spirits as I made my way back to the hotel. I remembered a bar I had hurriedly visited a few years ago and decided to check it out on Tabelog. The sight of the restaurant district brought back nostalgic memories of my previous visit. The "Ore Ryu" that had transformed into a Chinese restaurant was now back to its original form, or so I thought. I decided to try out the original "Ore Ryu" this time. Although I skipped the all-you-can-drink option for the second round, the drinks were reasonably priced at 200 yen each, making it a budget-friendly choice. I ordered the "Ore Sour," a refreshing drink with a hint of ginger. I felt like having some seafood after eating Genghis Khan earlier, so I opted for the scallop sashimi, which was deliciously sweet. I also ordered another sour drink and a chicken skin vinegar dish, which turned out to be a perfect snack. The laid-back atmosphere and affordable prices made this restaurant a great choice. The total bill came to 1,870 yen, making it a wallet-friendly option. Overall, it was a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience.

After work detour series. Sapporo has been experiencing hot days continuously. Since my house doesn't have an air conditioner, it's still hot inside when I get back, so I decided to cool off in my own way before taking the subway. I visited a place I haven't been to in a while. On such a hot day, the Sapporo Classic beer in a medium-sized glass (tax included 220 yen) is cheap and delicious!! Highballs are more expensive than beer, so I always end up drinking beer (laughs). And here's what I ate: - Pork Zangi Gouron with 4 large Zangi pieces. The pork Zangi here is made by layering pork in mille-feuille style and frying it. Similar to the classic chicken Zangi, the batter itself is flavorful and goes well with beer. - Ume Nankotsu Zangi as a palate cleanser. I like the crunchy texture of the nankotsu and the refreshing taste of the plum. - Assorted sashimi (salmon & bonito tataki) in a wooden box. There's a little rice and flying fish roe under the sashimi, and seaweed is also included, so you can enjoy it like hand-rolled sushi, which is nice. - Motsu-ni, which is pretty standard, but I always end up ordering it. - Tonkatsu stick. A tonkatsu that stands tall in a soba cup, making a big impact (laughs). Easy to eat in a snack-like form, which is great. I eat it with a sweet miso sauce, but it would be nice to have sauce and mayonnaise as well. A cheap and affordable izakaya for a casual drink after work. It was nice to see the owner again after a long time, and next time, I'll have to try the gyoza at Nino Maru!! By the way, Nino Maru is having an anniversary this week, so the beer is even cheaper. Thank you for the meal♪

Arrived at 5:00 pm on a regular day. One group of customers already there, with two people, and more customers arriving one after another. Located in a building connected directly to exit 1 of the Odori subway station, on the B1F food court. I have been to "Ninomaru" before, but this was my first time at Honmaru. There were 3 staff members in the hall and 2 in the kitchen. The owner was moving back and forth. They had reopened on 3/31, and on this day, draft beer (Sapporo Classic) was discounted from 200 yen to 100 yen, and all drinks were half price! Despite being called a renewal, the interior of the restaurant was almost the same as before (laughs). The menu seemed to have changed. The food I ordered was: - My style town seafood platter (550 yen), a new menu item. Tuna, salmon, bonito, scallop, octopus (2 pieces each), and a button shrimp (1 tail). Is it worth the price? Vinegared rice with flying fish roe at the bottom of the square, wrapped in seaweed to eat. - New Zangi (715 yen), "My style Zangi" was eaten at Ninomaru before, but this one had a sweet sauce on top. The volume was the same, but it was easier to eat because it was sliced. Juicy and delicious! But I prefer the previous garlic soy sauce flavor. - Namul (330 yen), plenty of sesame oil and delicious! Maybe a little too much pepper. It was satisfyingly delicious. The bill was around 1300 yen per person. It was really cheap!!! Finished quickly and headed to the second round, even though it was a weekday!

I heard that the lunch service will end at the end of November, so I came to try it out. The cost performance is quite good. The spaghetti was 600 yen with a generous amount of 400g of noodles! I couldn't eat that much, so I ordered a small portion. The noodles were quite thick. The flavor was quite sweet. It had a lot of ingredients, including plenty of red Vienna sausages. My friend had the curry spaghetti, which was also delicious! It's a shame that it will be ending soon, but I'm glad I came to eat here!

A few years ago, they used to serve lunch as well, but it disappeared probably because evenings were busier. However, due to the coronavirus, it has made a comeback.
- Menu: Napolitan
- Price: 600 yen (200 yen for extra large portion, -100 yen for small portion)
- Noodles: The pasta is like flat noodles. I felt a good volume with 400 grams. It tastes slightly bland, but I like to add my own Tabasco and powder to customize it in my own style.
- Impression: There are lots of red wieners and crunchy onions in it. Yummy! ^^

I had some time before a casual drinking party on a regular night, so I stopped by this place for a bit. The atmosphere of the restaurant, which looks like a typical public bar, is just to my liking. I sat on a beer case chair and looked at the menu. I was looking for something light since I had more plans ahead, and I found an attractive menu: Evening Set for 1000 yen (excluding tax). It's a set menu that can be ordered every day from 5 to 7 pm, including 2 drinks and 3 daily appetizers. It's perfect. I immediately ordered it. I started with a draft beer. The appetizers were served on one plate with 3 items: edamame, bean sprouts with black pepper, and simmered organ meat. The portion was quite generous, and I couldn't finish it with just 2 drinks. It was much appreciated. However, since I had other plans, I ended it with just 2 beers. The total bill was 1100 yen including tax, which was cheap and appreciated. But I would be even happier if the appetizer portion was reduced, and the total bill was 1000 yen including tax. It's a much appreciated restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

I went to have lunch at a place specializing in Neapolitan and meat sauce for two days in a row. Today, I had a 400-gram dish with a lot of volume, and the pasta was made with fresh noodles, very chewy and delicious. It felt more like linguine than spaghetti. I thought Neapolitan was spaghetti, but it was also very tasty. It was a satisfying lunch with a nostalgic feel. Since it's also close to my office, I definitely want to keep going there in the future.

Located in Showa Building B1, directly connected to Exit 1 of Odori Station, in the 5th block of O-dori West Avenue, I visited Orelu-san. There were about three customers before me. I sat at the counter seat. It was my first time here. I'll have a draft beer, please. Two drinks and a platter of three appetizers, including edamame, bean sprout namul, and potato salad. The flavors were quite good and went well with the beer. As I drank, I looked at the menu and saw that they also serve lunch. They have Napolitan! No seating fee or cover charge, and beer is only 200 yen? I was tempted by the poster advertising the medium fatty tuna for 500 yen. I vowed in my heart to come back next time with a mischievous smile. Thank you for the meal.

Located in a building dining area directly connected to the subway station in the Daito Park area, this izakaya is a retro and Showa-style establishment. Although not very spacious, the menu displayed on the walls offers a wide variety of choices, making it difficult to decide. However, the prices are reasonable for all items. The "medium fatty tuna" in the photo is only 500 yen and is considered quite a deal. Other dishes are also generous in portion size, and the drink prices are very affordable. This izakaya is highly recommended for small group gatherings.

My subordinates suddenly had to stay in Sapporo, so I visited Ore Ryu for the first time in a while. My subordinates probably didn't expect to come to Sapporo and desperately scrape out tuna (laughs). They were surprised by the price of drinks, delighted by the zangi, ate a lot, got drunk, and went back to the hotel. Everyone is happy when I bring them to Ore Ryu, so it's fun. Red ginger sour. The best. ^_^d

On a Friday night around 10 o'clock, two of us visited this restaurant. We have been to Ninomaru before, so today we decided to try this place. Despite the late hour, it was crowded, but we managed to find seats at the counter. It's in the same building as Ninomaru, but the atmosphere here is somehow different. The counter is in the shape of a "C" with tables around it. The manager at the center of the counter is very energetic, taking orders and serving customers with enthusiasm. We tried their famous "Ore-ryu Zangi" for 550 yen and Chicken with Vinegar for 300 yen. The Zangi was huge, with 7 pieces and a strong garlic flavor, crispy and delicious. And the Chicken with Vinegar was also tasty. The beer was served in a classic glass for only 200 yen, which was a great deal. Despite the slightly intimidating attitude of the manager when refusing orders, the place was bustling with customers enjoying cheap and delicious food and drinks. We had a great time eating and drinking for a total of just over 2200 yen for two people. It was a cheap and lively place to enjoy a quick meal and drinks.

Visited a budget-friendly restaurant that received mixed reviews on their customer service. Met up with my wife and decided to drop by without a reservation, thinking we could easily go somewhere else if we couldn't get in. Surprisingly, it wasn't crowded and we were seated right away. The tables and chairs seemed a bit cheap, but it was clear they were going for a specific concept. Ordered a beer, which was probably going to be good, and some snacks, which were likely to be mediocre. And that's exactly how it turned out. The menu didn't have many items that required time or skill to prepare, and it seemed like they didn't do much prepping in advance. Lots of pre-chopped green onions and grated radish from a machine. Not very exciting. But overall, it was an okay experience.

On Tuesday night around 9:30pm, two of us visited this restaurant! Even at this time on a Tuesday, about 70% of the seats were filled. It's a casual izakaya-style place in the Showa Building, with chairs made of beer crates which was interesting. There was no seating charge or cover charge, and beer was only 200 yen per glass at this budget-friendly izakaya. We ordered: - Spicy tofu: Cold tofu with plenty of special spicy chili oil, it was spicier than expected and the garlic was strong, leaving a lingering chili oil taste in the mouth! - Quail eggs in soy sauce: Quail eggs marinated in soy sauce, a dish that seems like you could eat forever. - Cheese omelette: A large omelette with cheese in the middle, simple and delicious. - Lemon sour: A refreshing lightly carbonated drink, delicious. We didn't eat much this time, but they also offer cheap all-you-can-drink options with snacks, so we'd like to try that next time. Thank you for the meal!

What's this~:(;゙゚'ω゚'): Beer is always 200 yen, what's the deal? It's a bit smaller glass so maybe they're not losing money, but still, it seems like the two guys are using it like a casual tea break. Each person has a drink, and in less than an hour, the bill comes to... '432 yen please~♪' ...ehhhh?! Well, I guess 200 yen for 2 drinks so... is that right? It's a shop in the office district so there probably won't be a second round. If it's full, they can't let other customers in and have to leave, right? They just took the good parts of the shop's system (laughs). Not that it's a bad thing, but 432 yen for two guys, isn't that cheaper than a cup of coffee?? But if they each had 2 beers, would the shop be in trouble? Well, Totoron-san, who is kind to the shop, starts with a beer for the first drink (〃▽〃). From the second drink, it's an oolong tea (^^♪ The food we had was the original Ore-Ryu's Zangi for 550 yen, served on top of soba. It's a soy sauce flavor with a strong taste of garlic and ginger. Next up is the new Ore-Ryu's Zangi for 750 yen, even bigger than the original Zangi! This one is a salt-flavored Zangi. The shrimp salt yakisoba, with Chinese-style shrimp in a salt-flavored sauce, was unexpected. It didn't match the image I had, but it was still decent (laughs). Anyway, the cost performance is great. The big boss has too much intimidating presence (laughs). Totoron gives a rare high rating after a long time. The service is amazing rather than the taste (*^^)v.
