There are a lot of risky foods on the menu. I decided to challenge myself and tried the fried crocodile arm. It was like eating chicken wings, but smaller. I even got an extra one as a bonus, so I ended up trying two.

After leaving Shiroi Koibito Park, we headed to North Safari Sapporo. My son had been wanting to go there for a while because it is an interactive zoo where you can have close encounters with animals. The entrance fee is 1900 yen for adults, and there are various activities in the Adventure Zone. My son really wanted to wrap a large snake around his neck, and since we were all born in the year of the snake in 2001, it felt like fate! We were able to fulfill his wish and took a commemorative photo. After walking around the park, we decided to try eating crocodile. It was 1200 yen per piece, which was quite expensive! We shared one piece because we thought it might be a bit challenging to finish a whole one. It had a tough texture and a slightly unpleasant smell, but it was edible. However, we didn't feel the need to buy another one. We also wanted to try a different type of frog, but unfortunately, it was sold out. Overall, North Safari Sapporo was a popular attraction with a lot of people visiting on the day we went.

Animal cafes have been increasing in popularity, but now there's a new trend called animal glamping! This unique experience can be found at North Safari Sapporo, located in a remote area in Minami Ward, Sapporo. I stayed in a cottage called "Aqua Cottage" which had a seal as a companion. You can choose one additional animal to accompany you, so I chose a Flemish Giant rabbit, which was about 50 cm long. There was also a husky dog outside. It was a dream come true for animal lovers - feeding the seal, cuddling the rabbit, and playing with the husky. The "Cheese Hot Cake" I bought at the shop was delicious, with the cheese stretching out. It tasted like fried cheese with pancake mix and potatoes, a bit sweet. For dinner, I brought my own ingredients and enjoyed Genghis Khan BBQ while watching the seal and rabbit. For breakfast, I ordered a "Hot Sandwich Set" which included bread, bacon, cheese, and butter for each person to cook themselves. Coffee and fruit were also included. It was a luxurious and high-calorie breakfast. If you're looking for a unique and special experience, I highly recommend animal glamping!

This is a past review. I can't believe it's registered on Tabelog! This is a food and drink space in front of the shop at North Safari Sapporo. I really like this facility and visit it once every few years. You can see and interact with animals up close. After seeing everything, there is a food court-like space here before the exit through the shop. The shop sells a variety of interesting items, but we always have to have the coconut water. I think it's around 1000 yen per piece, but both my husband and I love coconut water. It has a slight sweetness and a tropical flavor, but you can drink it like water. They also sell curry with alligator meat and even snake. I've tried alligator and snake before, so I won't eat them here. There may be limited-time offerings, but I saw scorpion skewers being sold, and the couple next to me was eating them... I'm the most afraid of bugs in the world, so even looking at them makes my face contort... For those who can eat strange foods or want to try something unusual, I recommend it. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a homemade-feel zoo recommended by a colleague, and I was surprised to see a wide variety of animals! I was also surprised to find out that you can eat exotic animals like the ones you see on TV! I tried the palm juice. I didn't eat the exotic animals though (^^; There are not only the zoo, but also plenty of events and activities!

I ate at a restaurant in North Safari. They serve dishes like crocodile curry, as well as grilled and fried dishes made with snakes, lizards, and more. It takes a lot of courage to try these dishes. For those interested in trying insects, this is the place to go! The crocodile curry wasn't as strange as I expected, it tasted similar to chicken breast meat. It was a bit tough.

North Safari Sapporo opened in 2005 as the first safari park in Hokkaido. It is an interactive zoo and leisure facility focused on animal interactions. This Golden Week, it was extremely crowded. The parking lot was full and private cars were no longer allowed in. The souvenir shop has an interesting snack called "Unkurai" that can only be bought there. This shop is located in Toyotaki, Minami-ku, Sapporo, inside North Safari Sapporo. You can check the exact location on Tabelog. I've never seen tortoise or capybara droppings, but they somehow resemble each other. Especially the "Tortoise Unkurai." Capybara Unkurai tastes similar to sata andagi with a hint of sugar. It's quite delicious, with 6 pieces in a pack for 580 yen. Tortoise Unkurai, on the other hand, I've never seen the actual thing, but it looks skillfully made, resembling black-brown color. It's made with bamboo charcoal for coloring. Also 6 pieces in a pack for 580 yen. These uniquely named and looking snacks leave a lasting impression. Since there are many families visiting, it's a great treat to enjoy with your family at home. It can create good and fun memories for families who visited. It's also a perfect souvenir for friends, sparking interesting conversations. I look forward to enjoying these Unkurais again next time. Delicious, thank you for the meal!
