This was my first visit to a restaurant with a passenger facility in Hokuto City, and I wanted to eat eel. The interior of the restaurant was quite spacious and a little cold. I had the eel rice bowl, which was not very thick but tender and not too overpowering in flavor. The sauce was a bit too sweet for my liking, but overall it was delicious. The other set meals besides eel seemed reasonably priced.

Located facing National Route 228, with parking space for around 10 cars in front of the store and on the side, access by car is very convenient. Although it is labeled as a set meal restaurant, the first menu item is eel. I tried the top item on the eel set menu, the Iwata Nori Eel Set (¥3,850). The origin, category, brand, and heat source of the eel are all unknown. It took 20 minutes from ordering to being served, indicating a pre-prepared type of dish. The size of the main eel dish is appropriate for the price. The eel is steamed moderately and the skin is grilled well. The richness of the fat is high quality and the Maillard reaction is just right, making it delicious. The sauce is elegantly sweet, not overpowering the eel. The seaweed is arranged in the middle of the rice, with the sauce stopping just before reaching it. This allows you to enjoy the eel and seaweed separately or together. The dish also comes with liver sashimi, pickles, and a small side dish. It feels more like a specialty eel restaurant that also serves set meals rather than a typical set meal restaurant. Overall, the satisfaction level is high. I recommend trying the two-color set with grilled eel in the future.

I always have the Chicken Nanban from the One Coin Bento at this restaurant. The portion size is definitely generous!

I had pork cutlet curry. It was delicious and filling. I was happy that it came with miso soup with seaweed. My wife ordered the fried chicken set meal, so I got to try some and it was amazing! I want to try the fried chicken set meal next time. I highly recommend the fried chicken set meal!

I usually take out the one-coin bento, but this time I got the special treat of eel rice bowl to go. They use domestic eel, which is not as thick-skinned as foreign eel and has a fluffy texture when grilled, making it delicious. But I realized that this is something you have to eat at the restaurant to fully enjoy.
