I couldn't get a reservation at the place I had my eye on, so I decided to try my luck on a Sunday of the 3-day weekend. I managed to snag a seat at "Muroran Lamp-tei Umi no Mon" by walking in. I ordered a highball and the chef's choice course. I was very satisfied! We had appetizers, octopus and daikon salad, seared scallops and snow crab, a sashimi platter, deep-fried flounder, simmered sea bream head, seared beef loin, rice balls, and strawberry milk pudding. We couldn't finish everything, so we had the rice balls wrapped up to go. I definitely want to go back!

Rating criteria: Impressive!! 3.8, Want to visit again!! 3.6, Delicious!! 3.5, Tasty! 3.3, Pretty good! 3.2, Average 3.1, Hmm... 3.0 or below, Unsatisfactory... There is a fish tank inside the restaurant, and all the delicious food from Hokkaido was really tasty! It's quite a bargain, and I think it's a must-visit restaurant when going to Muroran!!

The other day, I went to a charcoal grill restaurant for the first time. I ordered a drink and made a toast. We mainly ordered recommended dishes. It took quite a long time after ordering the food. There were not enough staff, to be honest. The balance between price and taste of the food was not good, and I was honestly disappointed. It's a shame.

Dinner at a seafood restaurant in Muroran♡
After having yakitori at the first place, we decided to go to a seafood restaurant for the second spot! Since my friend's usual go-to place was closed, we decided to try this one for the first time. It had a welcoming atmosphere as it was a storefront, and we were in the mood for seafood ( ˙꒳˙ ). They had semi-private tables, tatami seating, and counter seats with good spacing between them. There was even a fish tank in the middle of the restaurant, giving it a true seafood restaurant vibe♡ When I visited, there were many salarymen having business dinners, I think? ( ˶'ᵕ'˶)
Looking at the menu, the prices weren't cheap but not too expensive either! However, the portions turned out to be quite generous when we ordered (lol). I love surf clams, and getting two pieces made me so happy ( ◍´꒳`◍ ). The miso-flavored salted squid was also served in a large portion, more than enough for a snack! It even came with potatoes, which was a nice touch♡ Potatoes are perfect with salted squid, right?! The mixed grilled vegetables had more variety than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise (ꕤ ॑꒳ ॑ ) We dipped them in ponzu sauce and enjoyed them! Since we were drinking sake, we ended up ordering more snacks rather than heavy dishes (lol). We had two servings of sake priced at 500 yen each, and when we asked the more experienced waitress for another round, she brought us a larger portion than the first time (lol) She said it was a little extra for us♡ When we received the bill, it was around 5000 yen in total, which was surprisingly cheap! Such a great restaurant( * ॑꒳ ॑*)
After that, we did various things and even went to a maid cafe, which was a first for me in my life (lol) It was a fun experience♡

After work, I visited this place where you can eat seasonal dishes. The sashimi was delicious, but the best part was the sweet potatoes - I've never had sweet potatoes that sweet before! The baby scallops were amazing, and the pickled shishamo eggs with wasabi mayo were also delicious.

The taste is not bad, but the restroom smells bad and I felt concerned about hygiene.

From the exterior, the restaurant in Nakajima-cho, Muroran City, Hokkaido gives off a high-end vibe. Upon entering, there is a counter and a large water tank ahead. I love this kind of atmosphere. The restaurant is known for its seafood, with various seasonal recommendations available. The interior has a pleasant smell of charcoal from the charcoal grill. The grilled "hokke" was surprisingly large and delicious. The "garlic bomb tempura" was just regular garlic tempura, but maybe it's called a bomb because it's piping hot or because it's whole garlic cloves deep-fried. The "nagaimo pickles (plum and perilla flavor)" may be called pickles because it's pickled in plum and perilla, but it tastes like plain plum and perilla flavored nagaimo. Nevertheless, the crispy texture and light plum flavor are good. Not sure if this item or the restaurant was featured on a TV show. The recommended "hoya sashimi" was fresh, tender, and sweet, absolutely delicious! After having hoya, I felt like having some Japanese sake, so I tried the "Namara Super Spicy" sake. The restaurant was fully booked by 7 pm, so it might be a good idea to call ahead if you plan to visit during peak hours. Although it felt a bit pricey overall, it was a great seafood restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the clear itemized receipt at the end. It's a great place to dine!

As usual, I visited this place again! With spring coming, I had some asparagus (^ ^) and shrimp! So delicious! The master is as friendly as ever, and I always enjoy listening to his fishing stories. I've been here multiple times already, and this time we had a toast with Super Dry for me and Classic for my husband. The master, who I think took our order, is a big fan of fishing and has taught us a lot about it since we moved here. This time, we tried the master's recommended grilled fish, lamb karaage, and whole potatoes (I think the menu name is different, haha). We also had some salmon sashimi, but I really wanted to try the shrimp. However, we ended up drinking too much sake and getting full, so we'll save that for next time. The appetizer was delicious as always! It changes every time, and I always look forward to it. Before, we had sausages and whelks, which were tasty! There's a yakitori place nearby, and the smell on the way there is tempting, but we always make it to this place! It might not be cheap, but the taste is always satisfying! I tend to drink too much sake, so I end up having a good time laughing.

A cozy year-end party with a close colleague. We wanted to eat delicious food as always, but seafood options were expensive, so the variety was limited for just the two of us. We heard rumors about this restaurant from a junior, made a reservation over the phone, and secured seats at the counter. The place was a bit narrow but they managed to give us enough space. The appetizer was Shishamo roe mixed with wasabi and other ingredients, offering a nice texture. The sashimi platter had four types, including a surprisingly tasty fatty salmon. The grilled items were cooked on a tabletop charcoal grill, featuring scallops, king crab legs, beef, and vegetables. The grilled yellowtail collar and simmered sandfish were also impressive. The highlight was the sea urchin sashimi, which tasted like pure uni. The food was plentiful and satisfying, although the drinks were a bit pricey. It would have been nice to have more affordable options. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I would love to visit again if given the chance. The restaurant offers courses priced at 5,250 yen, 7,350 yen, and 9,450 yen, and we opted for the middle one, which turned out to be delicious in terms of taste, freshness, and portion size.
