A tall, slender glass filled with a coffee float. The small ice cubes are a nice touch. The soft serve has a smooth texture with a rich milk flavor. The lighting in the restaurant is just right, and soft piano and guitar music plays quietly in the background. The staff are also friendly and welcoming.

"Sapporo Coffee Kan" is a local chain of cafes with 11 stores in Sapporo. It seems to be different from the "Coffee Kan" that follows the chain of Shanoir. I stopped by to adjust my time for business in the Kita Ward. The store is located on the first floor of a shopping center called "Capo Oyachi", with a smoking and non-smoking section separated in the middle. I aimed for a table on the non-smoking side in the back. I felt sorry for occupying a four-person table alone. I ordered an 'Iced Coffee / 680 yen'. I was planning to order a coffee float, but they were sold out of the soft serve ice cream to put on top. The iced coffee had a modern taste without acidity. I enjoyed it black in a neat manner. The staff were all friendly and provided polite service. Comparing it to places like Doutor Coffee, it may be a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it for the service and atmosphere that matches the price."

During my stay in Sapporo in February 2023, I decided to go for a morning walk to avoid gaining weight. I walked two subway stations worth of distance, but it wasn't that far. I stumbled upon a café that had just opened, so I decided to have a coffee. The café was spacious with well-spaced seating, creating a relaxed atmosphere. I ordered a morning coffee, and I was pleased to see that the café had separate smoking and non-smoking sections. The coffee was mild and delicious. I don't usually visit cafés, but I felt comfortable and ended up having a second cup. It was a pleasant experience. Thank you for the meal.

I wanted to drink Sapporo Coffee Kan coffee, finally managed to get my first coffee today, and surprisingly, it was quite crowded. Feeling a bit intimidated, I decided to just buy some beans and head back. I bought the "Honduras Strong" beans, which seem strong and have a nice aroma. I am alone in Sapporo today, and it is my last day here. I had planned to head back early today, thinking I would arrive while it was still light out, but ended up reaching my destination after sunset. It gets dark and there are increased possibilities of getting caught, encountering deer, getting into a fight, or having an accident. The last place I visited was a facility called "CAPO," which I didn't know about before. It has quite a few shops inside. I wanted to drink coffee so badly because I can't drink it at my daughters' house where no one else drinks it, but surprisingly, the cafe was crowded. Despite my desire for coffee, I decided to give up and just buy some beans to take home. They didn't have Mandheling, which some people call Mandhelin. I didn't have high expectations, so I just bought the "Honduras Straight" coffee. It came in a bag, not from a jar, and cost 500 yen for 100 grams. The color was not as dark as I expected, which disappointed me a bit. However, I ended up drinking it all because the taste was more appealing than the roast level. It had a slight acidity and bitterness, but in a pleasant way. Overall, it was a delicious coffee.

I visited the Sapporo Coffee Museum located on the 1st floor of CAPO Oyachi directly connected to Oyachi Station in October 2022. The atmosphere inside the shop is dimly lit and has a nice ambiance, with chairs outside the store making it easy to relax. I ordered an iced coffee, which had a strong bitterness but a refreshing aftertaste, making it easy to enjoy and delicious.

On February 7, 2022, Monday, it was snowing heavily. Due to JR train service being suspended, I took the subway to go to the airport. While waiting for the bus at Oyachi, I found a cozy cafe where I could smoke. I chose honey toast and it was delicious with vanilla ice cream.

I often use this café for coffee and morning meals. This time, it was hot and I fell in love with the parfait standing on the table. Strawberry sweet red bean paste parfait!! The way I took the photo is not good, but... it was incredibly delicious! It had soft serve from Yamanaka Farm, cute white dumplings, and just the right amount of sweetness from the red beans. It was so delicious. There was also matcha. This is definitely worth it. Thank you for the meal.

Capo Oyachi seems like a convenient place to stop by and relax in between shopping. They offer cakes, waffles, and a nice view, making it perfect for a tea break. I ordered a cake set with iced coffee. I chose the pumpkin roll from the showcase, which had a pumpkin cream topping that gave it a Mont Blanc cake vibe rather than just a regular roll. The pumpkin flavor was strong and satisfying. Inside the roll, there were crunchy chocolate chips, adding a nice texture variation. The coffee had a rich flavor but was easy to drink, balancing well with the sweetness of the cakes and waffles. It's no surprise coming from Sapporo Coffee House. They accept payment through PayPay, which is convenient as you don't need cash. I couldn't fully enjoy my coffee and cake as my parking time was running out, which was a shame. I look forward to savoring them properly next time. Thank you for the meal. I'm curious about Otemae Coffee.

I arrived at the hospital in Ootani early for my appointment, so I decided to take a break here. I'm happy that they open at 9 am. The morning coffee is reasonably priced at 400 yen (tax included), which is great. It's not too strong and has little acidity, making it very easy to drink. The coffee sandwich also looks delicious. The Ootani store exclusive coffee jelly latte (700 yen tax included) looked very tasty, so I definitely want to try it next time. Thank you, Ootani store.

On Christmas Eve, I was walking around, enjoying food and drinks by myself during the day. I stopped for a coffee break at a café with smoking and non-smoking sections. The stove inside was lit, making the room a bit warm. It was past lunchtime, but the café was only about thirty percent full, with many ladies chatting over cake sets. The atmosphere felt quiet and relaxed, unlike the bustling area of Shin-Sapporo. I wonder if everyone heads to Shin-Sapporo instead. I don't mind enjoying a drink in this laid-back setting even on a Sunday. I ordered a blend coffee for 500 yen, which arrived in about five minutes. As expected from a blend coffee, it was smooth with a mild acidity. Personally, I prefer a heavier taste, but I guess that's what you get with a blend. Outside the café, they were selling Christmas cakes, and the salesperson's persuasive tone was attracting passersby to make purchases. I was curious about the taste of the cakes. I might try one next time.

This is Oatari-chi^_^ I have some time until my next appointment, so I'm going to have a cup of tea^_^ It's convenient here at CAPO with free wifi. Sapporo Coffee Shop. There are many of them around. It was about half full^_^ Today's coffee is from Guatemala! The variety is a bit intriguing. Catuai Bourbon... just as described, it has a soft acidity^_^ I used to like the strong acidity of Kilimanjaro coffee, but now I prefer the slightly acidic and deep flavor type^_^ It's interesting how various hobbies and preferences change, right? I had a relaxing time, it's time for my appointment now, let's get to work! Thank you for the meal^_^

It's a place in Atsubetsu-ku, on the first floor of Capo Oyachi in Oyachi Higashi 3-chome. You can check the exact location on the map on Tabelog as usual. After eating ramen and leaving the restaurant, there is a coffee shop right next door. Looking at the menu, the coffee is only 200 yen, so I decide to stop by. I order an iced coffee from the counter, pay immediately, and wait outside. In about 1-2 minutes, I receive the iced coffee and enjoy it in the car in the parking lot. The iced coffee has a strong flavor but is easy to drink with less bitterness. I continue towards my destination while sipping on the iced coffee. Buying the iced coffee for 200 yen this time, I realize that it is more affordable compared to famous coffee cafes, confirming that it doesn't cost much.

On the last Sunday of August, continuing... When you're not satisfied with lunch, you tend to end up at a place like this during snack time, right? Our afternoon shopping destination was the Capo Ohtani store. And when it comes to places to stop for this kind of purpose in this facility, so far, it's been the Sapporo Coffee Kan. It's been about a year since we last visited this place. It's a bit of a luxury for our family, but today, with lunch being just lunch, we thought, "Well, this place will do." So, we decided to go for it. This time, I was in the mood for a parfait. As I carefully looked over the menu, I immediately spotted the "Summer Limited Edition Yamanaka Ranch Soft Serve Ice Cream Parfait Festival." There were three types of parfaits lined up, and it was a dream come true to see that they were made with directly sourced ingredients from Akai River Village. I decided to go with the "Chocolat Mist" (700 yen excluding tax). The menu description read, "Chocolate mousse with milk soft serve ice cream, rich gateau chocolat, chocolate cookies, bananas, oranges, and chocolate sauce. A popular chocolate-packed parfait." On the other hand, my wife was torn between going for the "Matcha Azuki" or the "Cafe Jure" and ended up choosing the latter (700 yen excluding tax). The description read, "Homemade cappuccino ice cream with milk soft serve ice cream, topped with coffee jelly made using Mandheling from our contracted farm. A parfait with a coffee flavor that fills your mouth." Both options looked incredibly satisfying just by reading the descriptions. After placing our order, the parfaits arrived. Oh, this looks quite... I quickly took a photo before they melted, and we dug in. Oh, this is quite something. Truly, the quality of Yamanaka. My "Chocolat Mist" and my wife's "Cafe Jure" both had the Yamanaka Ranch soft serve ice cream as the base, with toppings like gateau chocolat, chocolate cookies, bananas, oranges, chocolate sauce, cappuccino ice cream, Mandheling, coffee jelly, etc. It was bound to be delicious. A blissful moment. It may sound a bit exaggerated, but I feel like I can tackle the week ahead with this. Well, whether I can really tackle the week ahead with this remains to be seen, but I believe that as a "pro" in the food and beverage industry, it's important to make customers feel this way and to have the goal of wanting to make them feel this way. Well, this visit for snack time was a very good choice for refreshing after lunch.

▼Location▼ Located on the 1st floor of CAPO Oyachi directly connected to Oyachi Subway Station. ▼About the Shop▼ Sapporo Coffee Kan was established as a coffee wholesaler in Chuo Ward. The first Sapporo Coffee Kan store was opened in Hachiken in Heisei 1, and the following year, the Tsukisamu store was opened. Gradually, more stores were opened, including a bean shop, totaling 12 stores. The Oyachi store opened in CAPO Oyachi in October 2005. ▼Menu▼ Various types of coffee, hot and iced, as well as tea and other drinks are available. They also offer sandwiches, sweets, and a booth for selling coffee beans. ▼What I Ate▼ ▽Iced Coffee 324 yen▽ (Visited in June 2017) As part of their 35th-anniversary campaign, the price is discounted until 12 p.m. The size is average for an iced coffee. It has a good balance of bitterness and a strong flavor, refreshing and well-chilled, making it a delicious iced coffee. ▼Impressions▼ (Visited in June 2017) Sapporo Coffee Kan is a popular coffee chain with a main store in Hachiken, Nishi Ward, and branches in Sapporo. The shops offer both cafes and coffee bean sales, with a booth for bean sales at the Oyachi store as well. After having soup curry at Lavi next door, I took a break at Sapporo Coffee Kan. Thanks to the 35th-anniversary campaign, both hot and iced coffees were priced at 324 yen until 12 p.m. I opted for the iced coffee, which was surprisingly good quality for the price. This was my first time at Sapporo Coffee Kan, and I am grateful for the affordable price. Since the campaign is ongoing for the year, I would like to visit another branch if I have the chance.

Continuation of the first Sunday of September. After having lunch at Ippudo, feeling like I need something to refresh my mouth from the amount of ramen and the lingering aftertaste of the fried rice. After doing some shopping and walking around, I started craving something sweet, so I decided to stop by Sapporo Coffee Shop inside Capo Oyachi store. I've been to this shop before. It's conveniently located for shopping, and I've stopped by for coffee a few times in the past. However, I don't think I've been here for a while now. This time, I wanted to have some light sweets along with my drink. The atmosphere of Sapporo Coffee Shop is still unique, but the store feels a bit cramped compared to suburban stores. I was seated at a table and looked at the menu. The menu was a bit confusing... Since it was lunchtime, I wanted something with a bit more volume, so I thought, "Let's try the waffles." I couldn't find a set menu with a drink, so I asked a passing staff member who mentioned that for an additional 320 yen, I could add coffee or tea to any single item menu. I decided to go for the "Caramel Cafe" (556 yen excluding tax) and my wife chose the "Apple Cinnamon" (556 yen excluding tax), both in half size, and added an iced coffee for each as a set for an extra charge of 320 yen excluding tax. The staff was polite but spoke softly. It seemed like they blended into the calm atmosphere of the shop, but since there were many elderly customers, it was crucial to speak clearly. I couldn't catch everything they said, so I left it to my wife who was closer. We waited for about 13-14 minutes, as they bake each waffle upon order. Surprisingly, the waffles were served quickly. Let's try them. First, my "Caramel Cafe." The menu description reads, "We added caramel sauce to homemade espresso ice cream, enjoy it with the crunchy fruit granola." My wife's "Apple Cinnamon" also sounded delicious, with homemade apple compote in the waffle batter, served with apple sauce and vanilla ice cream. The waffles had a crispy texture, topped with caramel sauce for mine and apple flavors for my wife's. The fruit granola added a unique texture, which was a bit subtle for my liking, but overall, it was very tasty. My wife's waffle was apple-centric, and although I'm not a fan of cinnamon, the delicious apple sauce and vanilla ice cream combination made me a bit envious. We were both satisfied. The set of iced coffees was of high quality, as expected from a coffee specialty shop. It was a fulfilling snack time, but considering the total cost of 876 yen excluding tax for both of us, totaling 1,752 yen, it felt like a bit of a luxury snack time for us. Adding the nearly 2,000 yen spent at the ramen shop for lunch, today's total expenses were a bit painful. Maybe a more substantial lunch followed by a break at the food court would have been sufficient for us. Thinking about it, places like this may be a bit extravagant for us.

Capo Oyachi 1st floor's "Sapporo Coffee House". It's the start of Silver Week, so I decided to have lunch here before heading home by highway bus. It's my first time at "Sapporo Coffee House" so I'm a bit confused about the system as I stare at the Deli Sandwich menu. I might not be able to make it as nicely at home, but I think I can make a sandwich. If I were to eat at the restaurant, I would go for the "Hot Press"! After careful consideration, I chose the "Shrimp and Avocado with Basil Mayonnaise" from the 6 types of "Deli Cuisines". I decided to add an iced coffee, bringing the total to 885 yen. The ingredients are luxurious, so the price feels a bit high, but it's worth it. The plump shrimp, lettuce, cheese, and avocado melt nicely in the hot sandwich, giving it a rich and buttery taste. The bread is in a mountain shape, and in addition to the square halves pressed in the hot press, the mountain part also comes along. There are people reading books leisurely with coffee and sweets, while others are chatting non-stop. I tried to enjoy my "book & iced coffee" leisurely, but I couldn't concentrate due to the noisy chatter. I gulped down the rest of my iced coffee and decided to continue reading my book in the bus waiting area. The book I'm currently reading is "Kemono no Souja" by Nahoko Uehashi. I'm engrossed in the world of Erin and Lilan.
