Sapporo is finally getting hot summer weather, so I felt like having soba for lunch. Around 2 PM, I went to my usual spot. As expected, there were two groups of two people waiting on the left side of the restaurant. I waited for about 10 minutes before entering, and more people kept coming in. The waiting area didn't have a waiting board, and the staff seemed to be struggling to keep track of the order. Be careful of delays in the order! I ordered the "Ryoka" summer limited edition dish for 1100 yen. It's a seasonal menu where various toppings are placed on top of the soba noodles, similar to the "okame soba" style. It came with 2 small shrimp tempura, rolled omelette, cucumber, simmered scallop, naruto fish cake, and seaweed. The dipping sauce was already poured over the dish. I usually don't like this type of soba, but I decided to try it. I still prefer the toppings to be served separately, but I must admit that it looked visually appealing. The soba noodles were made of a mix of 20% wheat flour and 80% buckwheat flour. The rolled omelette was mildly sweet and delicious, with a gentle dashi flavor. It was evident that it was homemade. Overall, it's a popular restaurant.

This is a soba restaurant located on the basement floor of the Sapporo Marui Imai Ichijo-kan in Nishi 2-chome, Minami 1-jo, Chuo-ku, Sapporo. It is not located in a restaurant district, so it opens at 10:30 am, similar to the department store opening. I arrived just 5 minutes after opening for an early lunch, and there were already about 4 customers ahead of me. Despite it being before 11 am, there were quite a few customers. I wanted something light for summer, so I ordered the "Natto Soba (with egg)" for 1,021 yen. You could also choose the "teuchi" option for an additional 88 yen, but I chose "Sara Soba". The dish arrived in about 10 minutes. The Natto Soba (with egg) had a large egg on top of the seaweed, with natto, grated radish, cucumber, pickled radish, pickled ginger, and lemon, creating a refreshing summer soba dish. Chopped green onions and wasabi were served on a small plate. Pour the dipping sauce and mix the ingredients well with the Sara Soba. It was light and perfect for the hot weather. The combination of egg, natto, and grated radish went really well with the soba. I finished it in no time. The soba broth, though I think it was kettle-boiled, had a slightly thick texture that I enjoyed. I didn't drink alcohol this time as I had a lot the day before, but they have a sake tasting set and alcohol pairings available. Some customers were enjoying alcohol with their soba. I might try that next time.

When shopping at Marui, I always come to this place for lunch. I have been here many times, but I want to mention it again. Here you can enjoy delicious Sarashina soba. The tempura with prawns, chrysanthemum leaves, sweet potatoes, and seaweed is all fried crispy and tasty. It goes perfectly with the soba. Personally, I like the light soba soup here, so I always have it after finishing the soba. Thank you for the meal.

I woke up in the morning, did some research online, and decided to go out for Chinese or Italian food today. But as I was walking around, I started feeling a bit unwell (laughs). I took the Toho Line to Toyosui Susukino Station, but I decided to head back to the main street. While walking, I noticed a floor guide for the restaurant floor on the 10th floor of Marui Department Store. Feeling too lazy to walk further, I found a simple soba restaurant. It had been a while since I entered this building, and the soba restaurant was in the 1st Avenue building, not the main building. However, I had no idea how to get from the main building to the 1st Avenue building. When I reached the basement floor of the 1st Avenue building, I saw a flashy orange or red curtain. The server led me to a table for four. I decided to order the "Soba Zen" for 1,401 yen, which included two types of soba, tempura, soba sushi, tamagoyaki, and more. The restaurant was part of the Sapporo Toya Group, and I wondered why some of their other locations were not listed on the menu. The atmosphere was filled with elderly customers at that time of day. The meal was served promptly, and the tempura was delicious. The soba sushi was a unique and tasty dish. I enjoyed mixing the soba broth with soba water at the end of the meal. The total bill came to 1,400 yen. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I apologize for always posting before shopping at Higashiya. Today, I ordered a small bowl of tempura rice bowl and a hot soba set (I think it was called "Kame"), and my wife ordered a tempura soba. We usually order the hand-made cold soba at Higashiya, but today we tried the hot soba. The warm broth with a rich flavor was really delicious. We always enjoy our meals here and are grateful.

While shopping, we stopped by Marui Imai at the Higashi-ya store. Despite the usual long line, we were able to enter quickly. I ordered the hand-made tempura soba, while my wife ordered the winter limited edition Gomoku soba. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce was just right. I personally prefer the chewy texture of hand-made noodles, so I always order that, but next time I will try the Gomoku soba. Thank you for the delicious meal.

When it comes to soba noodles in Sapporo, you have to mention Higashiya. This place seems to be a branch of the main store, but the employees have been the same for a long time. They are all getting older, which is tough. Today I had the kakiage soba, which seemed a bit smaller than the main store, but it still had the reliable soba flavor with a solid broth. Being located in the basement of a department store, the prices are a bit high. The customers here are mostly elderly, which seems to be a characteristic of this place.

On this day, starting from Shino Yakara, the day began smoothly but encountered an accident (shutters) at the first relay point. Despite being blocked, there was no major loss, and we quickly arrived at the second destination. Sapporo Soba Discussion Part 2: Cheers with a clink♪ Make the toast even more delicious☆ SAPPORO Adult Elevator♪ A mysterious elevator that travels with adults. On this floor, there was a soba enthusiast named CCC. A question from the wind-like☆ Ryusei to Shishishi: "What does soba mean to you, Shishishi-san?" Shishishi's answer: "Relaxation... I would say. It's not a preference, nor do I intentionally pursue it... but it's not a casual feeling either. When I happen to enter a soba shop seeking relaxation and encounter shining soba, the relief and fulfillment I feel at that moment is unparalleled... that's true happiness in 'relaxation.' Looking back, it's been three and a half years since I started calling Ryusei-sama my mentor. I still keep the reviews of soba I wrote at that time without deleting them, but I can't help but laugh at how bad they were. I was told by my mentor not to delete them (laughs). I still haven't cleared the two challenges given by Ryusei-sama back then (laughs). Nevertheless, the enjoyment of looking at soba from various perspectives or the excitement seems to be increasing year by year. Oh, maybe I'm just feeling cheerful because of the alcohol." Cheers with a clink♪ Make the toast even more delicious☆ SAPPORO This restaurant follows the flow of the former Azumaya Unmon in Nishi Ward, Sapporo. The orange noren curtain looks stylish. We started with Kirin Lager for a toast☆ The board of wasabi we ordered was quickly served, which is very characteristic of a soba shop. However, the red and white crunchy texture was a bit disappointing. The trapezoid rolled omelet had a firm texture due to the strong grilling. The taste emphasizes the return soy sauce and lacks sweetness. It seems to be forward-looking for soba, but a bit lonely. In the evening, customers crowded into the empty store. They seemed to be regular customers who finished their shopping and entered through the noren curtain as usual. It would be good for dining use both in terms of location and menu composition... a satisfying restaurant. While it's not forbidden to linger, we quickly headed to the checkout. We aim for the second relay point. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. The group initially planned to go to Soba Mae for their New Year's party, but ended up going to Kuranomitei as the second choice. However, they found out that Kuranomitei was only open for dinner that day. So, they decided to go to their favorite restaurant, Higashiya, at the Marui Imai store where they haven't tried soba before. The exterior of the restaurant was stylish with an orange facade. They started with a Lager beer for a toast and ordered some traditional dishes like rolled omelette and grated wasabi. The rolled omelette was beautifully presented and had a firm texture, but the grated wasabi was a bit disappointing as it lacked a unique touch. They both agreed that they would try something different next time. Overall, they felt that Higashiya was a good choice for a meal while shopping.

Went shopping with my parents at the Higashiya Marui Imai store. It was as crowded as usual, had to wait for about 15 minutes. Last time I ordered the "tenzaru" but this time I found a menu item called "tenchirashi" so I ordered that. It was cold soba noodles topped with tempura, served with cold soba dipping sauce. The soba noodles were delicious as always, but I think I still prefer the "tenzaru". Thank you for the meal.

While shopping with my wife, we stopped by the Azuma-ya Marui Imai store. My parents always visit this place when they go shopping and they said it's delicious, so it was my first time visiting. My wife ordered Ebi-Ten Soba with Soba from Sarashina, while I ordered Tenzaru with Inaka Soba. It was nice to be able to choose the type of soba. The Hokkaido soba, which I hadn't had in a while, had a slightly sweet soba sauce and it was familiar and good. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for lunch. I found this place on Tabelog. It's in a location I don't usually pass by, so if it weren't for Tabelog, I wouldn't have been able to go (・_・; This time, I ordered the "Kakiage Soba Cold". The kakiage is large ♫ but the soba is a bit small (-。-; I should have gotten the large size... Both the soba and kakiage are delicious ♫ I want to come back to eat here again (^^) Next time, I want to try a different menu. Thank you for the meal٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

"The best dish at 'Toke' might be here...('ε'*) Sunlight Soba (mushrooms simmered in egg) and my companion had the dipping kashiwa. The Sunlight Soba seems like a unique menu not found in other stores. The broth is fragrant and delicious from the first sip! The taste is perfect... (σ≧▽≦)σ♪ You can ask for a hot towel if needed. Since it's a place for soup dishes, it would be nice if the hot towel was provided without having to ask... (´・ω・`)"

Soba heaven! Amazing, the Inari soba at Tokiya in Marui Imai was delicious! I was craving for some good soba in the city and decided to go to Tokiya. Their Ni-Hachi soba is always reliable and I like it. When looking at the menu, I was drawn to the popular Soba Heaven set, which includes tempura soba and is a great deal for the price. Inari soba? It was my first time seeing it and I usually don't like it, but I found it surprisingly tasty! The sweet taste of the Inari paired well with the vinegar-drizzled soba. I could even go back just for this dish. The soba sushi was simple with just ginger as an accent, but the soba itself was delicious. The tempura included shrimp and sweet potato, both crispy and tasty. The variety in the set was enjoyable and I felt it was a good value for 1,400 yen considering the location. I'm curious to try their hand-made soba next time with this set. Thank you for the meal, the Soba Variety set performed quite well.

At my calligraphy class, we hold an annual exhibition. My friends came in the morning and afternoon, so we had a meal in between. I remembered Marui's mackerel shop! I entered and was greeted by cheerful staff who showed us to our seats. I ordered the "toji soba" with thin buckwheat noodles and waited. After a short wait, a fluffy egg with nori in a triangle shape was served on the table. Despite being short on time, I enjoyed the warm soba noodles. They also brought soba broth, which I poured into the remaining noodles. I would like to come back and enjoy a leisurely meal next time. I would like to try the "tsuru" or "kame" doria from the menu. Thank you for the meal!

After a monthly classical document lecture, I was in the mood for soba noodles! I went to a soba restaurant located between the Marui Imai underground 1st floor and the main building. It was Saturday at 12:15 PM, and there were 2 groups ahead of me, so I waited for about 5 minutes on a chair before being seated at a 4-person table alone. I started with a beer (medium bottle) for 523 yen, Kirin Lager. Pouring it myself and taking a sip was so satisfying after studying! I also ordered salted mountain vegetables as a snack. The texture was great! For the soba, I chose the soba set for 1,301 yen, which included hand-pulled soba, morekoshi soba, tempura, soba sushi, and tamagoyaki. The soba soup came in two types, hand-pulled and morekoshi, and you could choose which tempura sauce you preferred. Even though I was dining alone, the table was full of dishes. I tried both soups, but sorry, I couldn't tell the difference. However, I found the regular soba noodles to be more to my liking recently. The tempura included shrimp, seaweed, and green pepper, with a thick and crispy batter. The tamagoyaki was moist and flavorful, served with plenty of grated daikon. The soba sushi wrapped in seaweed was delicious with a generous amount of wasabi. It was a great accompaniment to the beer! The creamy soba soup at the end was a perfect finish. The soba set was a good deal with all the variety it offered. I spent around 50 minutes there and paid a total of 1,875 yen. Despite being seated alone at a 4-person table, I didn't feel too guilty about enjoying the meal by myself. Since I was already there, I wandered around the Marui underground 1st and 2nd floors before heading home.

I visited this place in 2019. The high-speed bus stop is convenient as it passes through the Marui underground and you can almost reach it without going outside. Today, they are open from 10 am, which is great for a combined breakfast and lunch. It's a popular spot, so it's usually crowded during the day. Even right after opening, there were already 5-6 customers. I ordered the Tsuru Set (more soba and mini tempura bowl). I always get this at Marui Imai store. You can choose between Sarashina or Handmade soba. I chose Sarashina. The more soba was consistently delicious. Sarashina has a rougher texture compared to the smoothness of other soba. The broth has a good balance of saltiness and sweetness. The mini tempura bowl was also delicious. The tempura is crispy but doesn't separate from the ingredients, and the sauce soaks into the rice making it very tasty. The types of tempura vary each time. Togo is also delicious with their tempura! Thank you for the meal!

The day after drinking too much, feeling queasy and uneasy, but still feeling hungry. So, I decided to have soba noodles. My partner wanted to eat Kushiro soba, so we went to Higashiya. It was crowded at lunchtime, but we were seated promptly. I was craving something light, but when I saw "Ebi-Ten" (shrimp tempura) on the menu, I couldn't resist. I ordered the Tempura Soba. It came with one shrimp tempura, plenty of enoki mushrooms, and lots of green onions. The shrimp tempura was not too oily and had a nice crunch. The enoki mushrooms were a bit tricky to eat with the soba, but it was fun to save them for last and eat them with lotus root. The green onions were surprisingly delicious, I wonder why? My partner ordered the Hinaset, which came with warm soba and grated yam. I tried a bite of the grated yam soba, and it was slippery and delicious. Eating soba noodles the day after drinking too much felt like a gentle touch to all my organs. I felt revitalized! Thank you for the meal.

During the second half of my stay in Sapporo, I met up with my parents for the first time in a year and a half. We went shopping at Marui and around lunchtime, feeling tired, we stumbled upon this place. I didn't realize there was a Higashiya here! It was a weekday lunchtime, so there were a lot of office workers and it was crowded. We got a table, but it was a bit cramped once the food arrived. We ordered the tempura soba (1375 yen) and it arrived in about 10 minutes. The tempura was crunchy, which I like, and the soba had a unique touch with square seaweed on top. It prevents the seaweed from scattering, so I might try that at home. I've always struggled with reviewing soba, but this one had a good balance and flavor, and I finished it quickly. It had been a while since I had cold soba with tempura, and it was truly a fantastic combination. The location in the department store basement is convenient when you're tired from shopping, and for 1375 yen, it felt like a great deal. It made me appreciate Sapporo once again.

During this state of emergency, it might be best to refrain from going out. I found myself struggling with hunger for two weeks in a row, so I decided to stop by Higashiya, a place that offers reliable flavors while satisfying my hunger. I ordered the hand-cut soba noodles with dipping sauce, and also added soba inari sushi to my order. The soba inari sushi was not surprising, as I had tried soba sushi at their main branch in Kushiro before. The soba inari sushi had a slightly sour taste, with more soba noodles inside, showcasing its firm texture and delicious flavor. The hand-cut soba noodles were also delicious, with a satisfying chewiness and firmness. The dipping sauce complemented the soba noodles perfectly, creating a delightful combination.

Marui Imai Sapporo Main Store, a soba restaurant on the basement floor of the Ichijo Building. I had the seasonal limited "Tara no Me Tenzaru" for 1265 yen. You can choose between hand-made soba and more Soba. This time, I chose more Soba. In addition to the slightly bitter Tara no Me tempura, there is also shrimp tempura with a firm sweetness. It is convenient to stop by while shopping in the department store. It can get crowded during lunch hours, but you can enjoy a leisurely meal at other times.
