This is a place located in Chitose City, at Jiyugaoka near Sakuragi Elementary School, but unless you are a local, you may not know it. So, as usual, please check the map on Tabelog for confirmation. I found out that they serve ramen from looking at the menu photos posted by "kimumiyu", so I decided to visit this time while I was in Chitose for other errands. I easily found the place because there was a ramen flag outside. I parked my car in the parking lot and headed towards the shop, where you need to take off your shoes before entering. Since there is no counter seat, I sat at a window-side table for four and looked at the menu. Although they have ramen on the menu, toppings are ordered separately, so this time I ordered the classic toppings of "chashu" and "menma" with a regular "shio ramen". And surprisingly, even with the toppings, it cost just one coin. It arrived in 8-9 minutes, and at first, I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised by the great atmosphere the ramen exuded. I started by tasting the soup, which had a strong chicken broth flavor with a classic umami taste and a slightly salty soup base. Next, the noodles were the classic medium-thick curly Sapporo noodles, cooked to perfection. Lastly, the toppings included chashu, plenty of menma, naruto, fu, and green onions. To make it a perfect old-fashioned ramen, it would have been great to have sliced boiled egg, boiled spinach, and nori seaweed. If possible, I would have loved to have this perfect old-fashioned ramen for around 600 yen. Also, the name written on the bowl is from a previous ramen shop they used to run, and the main store of that shop is in Kita 24-jo, Sapporo. This branch has been serving chicken broth ramen for over 40 years, so it should be delicious.
