Originally, it seems to have started as a dining establishment where the owner wanted people to enjoy their homemade vegetables. It was run by two women. There were counter seats, table seats, and even a raised seating area. I ordered the daily special which was grilled chicken thighs that day. It was very delicious. It came with 6 side dishes for only 780 yen. It's really cheap. All the dishes were affordable and the side dishes were tasty and seemed to be nutritionally balanced. This is just my personal diary, so please don't rely on my evaluation or comments.

Hidden on the outskirts of Chitose town is the quiet Himawari Restaurant. Look at the variety of dishes they offer, and the well-balanced ingredients. The meals cooked by the mother are excellent! I always try to resist getting seconds, but sometimes I can't help it (extra charge applies). However, when I do get seconds, they also give me extra servings of pickles and umeboshi, which are delicious! Even with getting seconds, I still get a lot of change back from a 1000 yen bill. The cost performance is great! Chitose town has many delicious lunch spots, but I think this one is the best overall. I hope this restaurant continues for a long time. Since they have a slightly long winter break, it might be a good idea to call and confirm before going during this time. They should be starting up again soon.

The signboard was a flag that was out when they were open. There are about 3 parking spaces in front and next to the restaurant, but you can find parking nearby. It's a store with a residence, so the interior is clean and bright. There is a counter with seating for about 7 people facing the kitchen, a table for 2, and 2 raised tatami tables. There were 2 women working. The menu includes daily lunch sets for 580 yen including tax - stir-fried vegetables, chicken cutlet, ginger pork, and fish set. Other options include red salmon set for 680 yen, Genghis Khan, and hokke set for 780 yen. I ordered the chicken cutlet set and watched as it was prepared. The lunch set that arrived had an ideal appearance - shiny rice, tofu and fried tofu miso soup, main dish of chicken cutlet, and 3 other items. The rice was a normal size with a moderate amount. It may be more suitable for those who prioritize balance and calories over quantity. If it were nearby, I might use it regularly. A shop favored by taxi drivers. The hamburger was delicious with a refreshing taste and juicy texture, you could taste the onions in it. It was served with shredded cabbage with mayonnaise, potato salad, bean sprout namul, and cold tofu with miso pickles on top. Everything tasted great, and it felt like homemade cooking. The portion of rice was also just right. The soup was udon noodles. The staff was very polite and attentive, always making sure everything was okay.
