I visited the central cafeteria of Hokkaido Medical University in Tobetsu-cho. After visiting Double Tall Hokkaido Medical University store, I came here. By the way, I heard that the wife of the Prime Minister of Japan visited this café two days after I did. I wonder what Akie had to drink? The café has a great view, so I'm sure she enjoyed it. Now, this cafeteria is huge. I had my meal on the second floor, but there is also a dining floor on the third floor, with kitchens on both the second and third floors. The display of menu samples at the entrance is different in some aspects, but the prices and daily specials are the same. After researching further, I found out that this cafeteria is operated by Denshoku Group, which also runs HBC Grill, as featured in this month's issue of Oton, where the late Jumbo was also introduced. No wonder the food is delicious, affordable, and efficiently served to a large number of people in a short time. Inside the cafeteria, there is a one-way system. As soon as you enter, there is a glass case displaying menu samples. The daily special noodle was Mabo Ramen (420 yen), and it looked exactly like the sample, which was impressive. Another option was the daily special rice bowl (420 yen) with Pork Negi Mayo. The pork cooked in salt sauce with plenty of leeks and mayo was a classic choice. I decided to go with the rice bowl. The rice was delicious too. They also had options like Hamburg Steak (420 yen), Mapo Tofu (450 yen) with croquette, and the most expensive item was the Pork Cutlet Set Meal for 470 yen. The cheapest item was the Plain Udon or Soba for 220 yen. The curry rice was 300 yen, and the Pork Cutlet Curry was 410 yen. I chose the rice bowl because I love meat dishes. The texture and flavor of the thick pork and leeks were unique, and the seasoning was mild, which was rare in this type of cafeteria. It's no wonder it's a medical university. They care about your health. Once again, I enjoyed a delicious and affordable meal. Thank you very much.
