The course featuring thick slices of the precious "Tanmoto" (the beef tongue root) from Sendai Black Wagyu, along with unlimited access to Harami (skirt steak) and Sashimi, is an unbeatable deal for under 10,000 yen. The staff cooks the meat for you, making for a truly enjoyable experience! Located about a 2-3 minute walk from Meguro Station in Tokyo, the restaurant is called "Isshin Tansuke Meguro." I discovered it a while back when the Akihabara branch was still open. I initially thought that all-you-can-eat beef tongue would only offer the lower-quality cuts. However, that misconception was quickly put to rest! The "Ippon Tansuke Course" has two options to choose from. The first consists of an 80-minute set course followed by a 20-minute all-you-can-eat session. The other option is an 80-minute all-you-can-eat service, which has less time but allows you to enjoy high-quality cuts of Sendai Black Wagyu. I decided on the first option! By adding the restaurant as a friend on LINE, I could enjoy free drinks like beer and sours, so I registered immediately. ○ Beef tongue platter: You can savor various cuts of beef tongue including 15mm thick slices, Tanmoto, and Tanjun. The staff grills the beef tongue, adjusting the cooking method by cut for an even more delicious experience. Pairing it with the accompanying flavored scallions was excellent! ○ Choose your grilled items: For the grilled items, I selected "Sendai Black Wagyu Upper Lean" and "Special Harami." The Upper Lean features fine marbling that bursts with savory flavor, while the thick, tender Harami coated in a special sauce is so easy to bite into! ○ Ultimate thick Tanmoto: A masterpiece that has been low-temperature cooked and aged for 2-3 days. Every bite bursts with the flavor of beef tongue! Eating it with wasabi, rock salt, or a Shariapin sauce made from scallions heightened the taste even further! ○ Sendai Black Wagyu Filet -> Chateaubriand: They happened to have Chateaubriand available, and it was truly a diamond in meat form. The melt-in-your-mouth texture was simply divine. ○ Sendai Black Wagyu Grilled Yukke: This dish features rib and loin grilled briefly, then combined with sauce and raw egg (made from a premium brand of eggs with rich yolks). I devoured two bowls of rice—it was irresistibly good! ○ Gluttony Time: This is a 15-minute all-you-can-eat session where I ordered everything I wanted, including Harami and the rare Wagyu Hatsu, and it was totally satisfying! The side options, like Gomta soup, fresh napa cabbage kimchi, and rawセンマイ刺し, were all wonderfully flavored, and even the cold noodle with sudachi and dessert were delicious. When I left, I noticed the restaurant had around 20 staff members, likely because they cook the meat at your table! Course + all-you-can-drink for 9,480 yen is a bit different from the regular all-you-can-eat. I opted for the exclusive course available only at Meguro, which reduces the all-you-can-eat time to 15 minutes but upgrades the quality of the course. The large slices of beef tongue, called “deka-tan,” in the photo were included in the course and were meant for four people. The thickly sliced beef tongue that came out first was my favorite; I think I have the right impression here since thick cut regular tongue and non-thick cut beef tongue weren’t part of the course. There’s also something called "thick sliced Sendai tongue" in the photo, which was tasty but had a slight odor; adding some sauce made it better. I wonder if the thick sliced tongue is in the all-you-can-eat courses outside of Meguro? It doesn't specify as "thick," so is it something different? The grilled yukhoe was delicious as well—the kind that uses thinly sliced meat quickly cooked and served with an egg. This is available as an add-on to the all-you-can-eat. Outside of all-you-can-eat time, salads and sashimi can be ordered at any time; I enjoyed the heart sashimi, but when I tried to order it a second time, it was sold out. In the Meguro course, the staff grills the yukhoe for you, which takes some time and fills you up, so I didn’t end up ordering much during the 15 minutes of all-you-can-eat. I think this course is better than the regular one (at least at Meguro). I’m curious about the price; if I’m full for 10,000 yen, then that seems appropriate. I ordered a variety at the Jumbo for around 10,000 yen and was satisfied with the taste and quantity. The comparison to the all-you-can-eat options puts King at 6,000 yen with many types of tongue; if you love tongue, it’s definitely a good choice. But then there’s Tan-sei; it’d be nice if it was cheaper than those options (I imagine it to be around 7,000 to 8,000 yen) and tastier than all-you-can-eat offerings.

I chose the all-you-can-eat option. I trusted the taste because I had previously used a different location, and this restaurant had a wide variety of meats, allowing me to enjoy different kinds without getting bored. Additionally, they offered signature dishes unique to this location, which made it easy to feel the distinct characteristics of each restaurant. However, I was a bit put off by the attitude of the female staff member who attended to us at first. It was just a bit disappointing given how good the food was.

I’m so happy with all this delicious meat! Girls love meat, so I’m totally in heaven! The ultimate cut of meat was tender and absolutely delicious! I felt so full that it was like I ate a year’s worth of meat! Although there was an all-you-can-eat option at the end, I couldn't manage to add any more because I was so full, lol! I did end up asking for more of the scallion namul three times!

The staff will grill the meat for you, so you can enjoy it in a delicious state without any worries! All the beef tongue is surprisingly delicious, making it a paradise for tongue lovers. The taste of the "ultimate Ippon Tan" is incredible; it’s been marinated and aged for two full days at the restaurant! You can even eat it raw! Whether on its own, with a special blend of salt or with green onion sauce, it’s delightful. Pairing it with wasabi or garlic also works perfectly. The grilled Yukhoe made from Sendai black beef pairs so well with rice, it’s unbelievably shocking!

I visited this restaurant after being recommended by a business partner! For a 9,000 yen course, the portion size and quality were impressive—it's definitely worth the price! I usually don't like cheap meat, but their tongue was delicious. However, since I have a small appetite, I'm not sure if I got my money's worth. 😂 When our company gathers and wants to enjoy good food, I think this place is a great choice, especially if there are many big eaters around. By the way, their tororo rice was exceptional! I couldn't finish the meat because I asked for second helpings of the tororo rice... I definitely want to go back! ✨

I had the Tansuke course and the beef tongue was incredibly delicious, but the lean meat, harami, sirloin, and ribeye were also tasty. Personally, I loved the ume-senmai sashimi. The refreshing sudachi cold noodles as a finale were excellent! All the dishes were of high quality. If you register as a friend on LINE, you can enjoy nearly all-you-can-drink options. There’s also a 20-minute all-you-can-eat time at the end, so I ate until I was stuffed. This place is great when you’re in the mood for some serious meat!

A beef tongue grill chain has opened a new type of restaurant. However, the all-you-can-eat option at the original location might be tastier and better value for money. Some dishes in the set menu are not very delicious. While the "ippon-tan" (whole beef tongue) is normally tasty, reordering it is not allowed. The flavors are somewhat average, and the desserts were served without clearing the table first.

I visited a newly opened grilled beef tongue restaurant in front of Meguro Station! I was concerned that having only beef tongue might get boring, but the various cooking methods kept it interesting, and we enjoyed every dish! We also had some drinks, and the total came to just under 10,000 yen per person, so considering what we ate and drank, I think it's a pretty good value!

You can indulge in delicious gyutan (beef tongue) at "Isshin Tansuke"! The location in Yurakucho is quite hard to reserve on weekends, especially during peak times... so I decided to check out the newly opened Meguro branch this year! Now is a great time to visit since reservations are easier to get! I tried the "Sendai Kuroge Wagyu Enjoyment Course" (¥9,900), and the main items on the menu included: - Five types of gyutan platter★ - Choose your grilled dish - One whole gyutan★ - Sendai Kuroge Wagyu filet - Sendai Kuroge Wagyu yukke (grilled)★ - Cold noodles - Dessert Plus, there's an all-you-can-eat menu available! (You can also get drinks at a discount or for free by registering on LINE!!!) The "Five Types of Gyutan Platter" features thick cuts of upper tongue salt, upper tongue salt, Sendai gyutan, thick Sendai gyutan, and miso marinated tongue. Honestly, this platter could be a main dish by itself; it's so substantial and satisfying! The staff cooks it for you, ensuring the perfect grilling. As for the "One Whole Gyutan," I say the real main attraction is here! When the whole gyutan arrives and is sliced in front of you, it's just heavenly! The glossy, plump, beautifully pink gyutan being cut open is an unforgettable moment... The taste, of course, is outstanding! The "Grilled Yukke" is labeled as yukke, but it's more like grilled sukiyaki! After grilling it slightly on the net and mixing it with egg, it goes great with rice. Trust me, even if you're full, this dish will revive your appetite! (I certainly felt revived! LOL) The restaurant has a calm atmosphere with a black theme, and each table has high dividers for privacy. They also have private rooms, making it very convenient! If the course isn’t enough, there’s a time-limited all-you-can-eat option (aka "Gluttony Time") towards the end of the meal, so you can definitely load up on more meat! I would love to visit again! This course is not mainly about all-you-can-eat; after being served grilled yukhoe, there is a 15-minute Gluttony Time for unlimited eating. Here are some recommended dishes from the course: - Ultimate Ippon-tan: This dish made a strong visual impact and was photogenic! The preparation differs from other beef tongues, allowing for a unique texture that was amazing. - Sendai Black Wagyu Fillet: Tender and rich in fat, making it easy to eat! As for drinks, by registering on LINE, I enjoyed an essentially unlimited drink offering, indulging in various beverages while savoring the meat—what a blissful moment! Just as the reviews mentioned, during the "Gluttony Time" (all-you-can-eat), I definitely felt very full! Ordering the manga-sized rice before Gluttony Time might have been my downfall. After about 80 minutes of enjoying beef tongue and rare cuts, there was a 20-minute all-you-can-eat time. - **Three Appetizers**: Pickled cabbage kimchi, green onion namul that goes well with beef tongue, and onion-salad pickles were served. The kimchi was slightly sweet and spicy, and the green onion namul was perfect with the beef tongue. It was great that a grill master was able to come to our table during the first half of the course. The side dishes and cold dishes were also plentiful. After that came the gluttony time! I was very satisfied. The drinks being practically all-you-can-drink as a bonus was surprising. I'll definitely come back!

I visited a restaurant specializing in tongue that I've wanted to try with my friends. They offer a dish called "Grilled Yukhoe of Sendai Black Wagyu Beef," which is only available at the Meguro location. The staff explained the different types of tongue and started by grilling a variety for us. Our table had a newcomer, but they were really diligent and well-trained, making for a very enjoyable dining experience. After they grilled everything, we entered the all-you-can-eat phase. It’s great that you can eat whatever you like without worrying too much about the cost. The rice in the picture is called "Manga Mori." Since it was all-you-can-eat, I shared it with my friends (laughs). For dessert, we had Sudachi cold noodles and sherbet. By the way, if you register as a member, it almost turns into an all-you-can-drink deal, so considering the food, drinks, and chatting with the staff, the price really makes sense. After the main course was served, there was a "Gluttony Time," a period where a select portion of the meat from the course was available for unlimited consumption within a time limit. Unfortunately, the most delicious meat from the course was not included in the Gluttony Time. Additionally, the meat ordered during Gluttony Time was noticeably of lower quality compared to the same cuts served during the course, which was quite disappointing. I believe they should consider removing Gluttony Time altogether and reevaluate the overall quality of the meat.
