A members-only fugu restaurant in Roppongi. It is one of the first names that come to mind when it comes to fugu in Tokyo. Before transitioning to referral-only, it was a two Michelin-starred restaurant and highly rated on Tabelog with a score of 4.38 (as of December 27, 2022). It was my first visit in a while. This time, I ordered a la carte. The dishes included: - Crab sashimi - Grilled fugu milt - Deep-fried fugu sperm sacs - Porridge - Dessert (persimmon, melon) I also had fin sake and junmai sake to drink. The fugu that day was from Fukushima and Miyagi. Despite thinking it might be a bit early in the season, I felt the quality of the fugu was better than my previous visit. The crab sashimi was ordered at the request of my companion, but considering the quality and price, it may not have been necessary. Many people praise the ponzu sauce that comes with the grilled fugu milt, but I personally feel it detracts from the flavor of the fugu, so I did not order it. Perhaps due to the crab sashimi, the bill came to just over 70,000 yen per person. While the reservation difficulty is not too high and the usability is guaranteed, satisfaction (CP) is greatly influenced by how you order, so the skill of the organizer is crucial. The atmosphere is not fancy, but the service is impeccable.

Located in the third block of Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo, this famous restaurant is known for its appearance resembling a small traditional Japanese eatery, specializing in blowfish cuisine! Reservations are difficult to secure. The blowfish sashimi, blowfish hot pot, blowfish tempura, blowfish milt grilled with salt, and blowfish porridge were all outstanding! The blowfish flavor was fully brought out and combined perfectly with ponzu sauce and salt. The blowfish milt was also of excellent size and incredibly creamy and sweet. The blowfish meat was firm and bouncy, and the texture was perfect! The porridge served at the end was exquisite, with a rich and flavorful broth. I definitely want to go back again! I will make a reservation for winter and return. It was the best blowfish cuisine I have ever had!

A well-known famous restaurant. Ajiman. There are famous restaurants all over the country regardless of genre, but this one is exceptional. The blowfish sashimi, liver sauce, and deep-fried blowfish are all surprisingly delicious. Honestly, I rarely thought blowfish was that delicious and only went to blowfish restaurants for entertaining or good luck. However, since I found this restaurant... from going to blowfish restaurants to wanting to go to Ajiman!

I couldn't be happier!!! It's like drinking milk with shirako sake! I devoured this thick fugu and gulped down shirako sake and hire sake! The texture of the fugu is amazing, no unpleasant smell, it melts in the soup right away. The liver sauce is also delicious to eat as a snack! The shirako may have lost some flavor since the season is over, but it still tasted good! Ah, I am completely satisfied, even with the last fugu porridge!

A renowned blowfish (fugu) cuisine restaurant. It is now membership/introduction-only. Each person gets their own blowfish sashimi. The thick-cut blowfish provides a satisfying bite. The sauce for the blowfish liver is a must for those who like it! Dip generously. *It's good to leave some! There are two large blowfish milt. Creamy and smooth. The blowfish salt-grilled dish also comes in two servings. There are three servings of blowfish tempura. They offer three different parts so you can enjoy the different textures. The seasoning is simply delicious. Lastly, there is a porridge dish. Add the leftover liver sauce for the best taste. The eggs are creamy and irresistible. This porridge surpasses any other porridge I've had before. It has become a seasonal tradition. I was able to visit Ajiman again in 2023 (fiscal year 2022). In January and February, it was fully booked every day and I couldn't get a reservation at all. Finally, I was able to secure a reservation at the end of March, when the fugu season was already coming to an end. However, there were no issues at all. I enjoyed the Golden Course which included fugu sashimi, fried fugu, fugu shirako, and fugu fins. Last year, when I visited at the end of March, the shirako was quite small and only two pieces were served, but this year, there were still large shirako fugu, so I felt lucky. After enjoying some sake with the fins, I left the restaurant slightly tipsy. It was no longer chilly outside, but rather warm for this time of year. Nevertheless, the fugu this time was still exceptional. Grateful.

This was my first visit. I was surprised by the volume of the fugu sashimi. The fugu tempura was delicious, I had two pieces. The grilled fugu shirako with special shirako sake and fin sake were amazing. The fugu hot pot rice porridge was all really delicious. I definitely want to go again if I have the chance.

We revisited "Ajiman," who won the Tabelog Award 2023 Bronze. The restaurant is located in Minato-ku, Tokyo. It is about a 5-minute walk from Roppongi Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. Despite its small eatery appearance, this place is famous for blowfish dishes. It operates by reservation only, and due to its addictive flavors, it has become a difficult-to-reserve spot with many regular customers. As we opened the sliding door and entered the restaurant after a long time, we couldn't help but feel excited. Here is the list of dishes we had this time: - Blowfish sashimi - Chiri (blowfish hot pot) - Karaage (fried blowfish) - Shirako (blowfish milt) - Shioyaki (grilled blowfish) - Nimono (simmered blowfish) - Zosui (blowfish rice porridge) - Strawberry - Hirezake (blowfish fin sake) Starting with the sashimi, each dish was incredibly delicious. The ankimo (monkfish liver) with sauce was rich and flavorful. The shirako was as creamy and flavorful as ever, filling the mouth with its richness. And the karaage was surprisingly large and hot. Be careful as you bite into it, and you'll be rewarded with a juicy burst of flavor. Before long, we had finished every last bite. Although it may be a while before our next visit, we definitely want to come back again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Do not enter if you are not a fan of blowfish. Located in Minato Ward, this blowfish restaurant closes during the off-season until March. Just a 5-minute walk from Roppongi Station on the Toei Oedo Line, on the 1st floor of the WOO Building. The blowfish liver, grilled shirako, fried shirako, tessa, salt-grilled blowfish, and especially the blowfish tempura are all incredibly delicious. You can order everything a la carte, including blowfish porridge as the finishing touch. The prices are based on market price. The salt-grilled shirako is mild and creamy. I finally got to visit this must-visit restaurant before I die. I was impressed by the elasticity of the "simmered gel" made from blowfish skin. I want to go again, so I need to save up money... Credit cards are not accepted, cash only.

The total cost was 69,280 yen including alcohol. I went with a regular customer who invited me. The fugu shirako sake is a specialty and you can have as many cups as you like. The tessa (fugu sashimi) is a generous portion and very satisfying. The grilled fugu with salt is the epitome of happiness. The karaage (fried chicken) is a unique and unmatched dish that my companion couldn't resist getting seconds of. The zosui (rice porridge) is part of the course and worth it just to try. After visiting a few times, I think this is the best place in Tokyo for fugu.

I tried sitting at the counter for the first time. I enjoyed watching the chef prepare the food right in front of me. This time, I ordered only what I wanted from the a la carte menu. The sashimi had a satisfying texture. The fried chicken was also large and delicious. I even asked for some porridge to take home, which I enjoyed the next day. It was amazing. I am looking forward to visiting again next year.

Located in Roppongi, just a few minutes' walk from the station, it is in an area with many bars. This restaurant only operates during the blowfish season (usually closed in July and August), and February is the peak season for blowfish, so I was really happy to visit. The restaurant has 12 counter seats and 3 private rooms. We decided to order a la carte so we could focus on the dishes we wanted to eat. With a few cups of sake, it cost around 50,000 yen per person. - Whitefish and yam - Blowfish sashimi - Blowfish tempura - Blowfish hot pot - Blowfish porridge All the dishes were delicious. When we arrived, the head chef had already prepared several plates of blowfish sashimi. Each dish was beautifully presented, and it seemed like every customer was ordering this dish. The texture of the blowfish tempura was amazing. It had a well-balanced seasoning, and the flavor of the skin and meat was delicious. I was surprised by how delicious the blowfish porridge was. Cooking the rice with blowfish broth resulted in a well-balanced flavor. Overall, all the dishes were delicious. This restaurant has many regular customers, and we were able to enjoy the world's best blowfish here. The price is high, but considering the quality of the blowfish, I think it's worth it! There are few types of alcohol available, but the hot sake was delicious.

I have always loved this restaurant. The main dish, fugu sashimi, is amazing, and the deep-fried fugu and grilled fugu sperm sac are also delicious. For fugu sashimi, I recommend eating it rolled with ponzu sauce, liver sauce, and green onions. I heard they are not open during the summer, so I would like to make a reservation and visit again in the winter.

I went to Ajiman, a restaurant that is on the list of places to visit before I die! This restaurant is exclusive to members, so you can only go if you know a member. Luckily, a friend offered to take me there, and I jumped at the chance! I've been thinking lately, connections and networking are really important. I feel so fortunate to have such connections that allow me to visit this amazing restaurant. The fugu (blowfish) dishes at Ajiman were outstanding. The fugu sashimi was incredibly thick and delicious, and the liver sauce was a perfect complement. The fugu fin was the most tender I've ever had, and the fried fugu was a whole new level of deliciousness. The fugu porridge was the best I've ever tasted, and the fugu skin dish was surprisingly elastic. The fugu tail soup was also a delight, and the fugu sake was exquisite. The total bill was around 65,000 yen, but it was worth every penny. Ajiman is a cozy and welcoming restaurant with top-notch fugu dishes. I can't wait to go back next year!

Last time, I went with a big eater regular and ended up eating too much, so this time I decided to customize based on that experience. My wife and I visited the restaurant and ordered the following: - Boiled frozen fish, one for each person - Sashimi, one plate for two people - Shirako (cod milt), one for each person - Grilled fish with salt, one portion (just for me) - Fried chicken, three pieces - Zosui (savory rice porridge) What I really want to enjoy are the amazing fried chicken and zosui. Of course, the thick-cut sashimi is also fantastic, but since my wife can't eat a lot, I can eat more than half of it and be satisfied. One serving of shirako is also satisfying. I think it was a good way to order. But I can't give up on ordering three pieces of fried chicken. They are so delicious. Ordering three pieces allows you to taste three different parts, which increases the satisfaction level. And finally, finishing with zosui is the best way to end the meal. Looking forward to visiting again this year. Can't wait!

I was invited to Ajiman after a long time. Maybe it's been about a year? It tasted better than the last time I came. Maybe it's because the person who took me there is a regular customer? Every winter, I look forward to the delicious blowfish dishes. This year, I couldn't make it to Maruyasu in Nishinomiya in time, so this will be my first and last time eating blowfish at a specialty restaurant (lol). I ordered blowfish sashimi, grilled blowfish sperm sac, deep-fried blowfish, blowfish hot pot, blowfish porridge, and the blowfish miso simmered mackerel that I had reserved in advance. I started with beer to wet my throat, then moved on to chilled sake, fin sake, and blowfish sperm sac sake for a heavenly lineup. While other restaurants are raising their prices, this place has kept its prices almost the same as usual, giving me a sense of relief, although when I think about it rationally, it's still quite expensive (lol). I'll do my best to come back here next year to enjoy blowfish again. This season's first and last indulgence is at this restaurant. The blowfish here is as delicious as ever. We ordered all the blowfish dishes, and enjoyed them with blowfish fin sake and blowfish milt sake. The fried chicken here is incredibly tasty and ranks first in my personal ranking of all fried chicken, including chicken. We finished off with a hearty rice porridge.
