Located about a 5-minute walk from Kinshicho towards the Skytree direction, this shop has been featured multiple times in the Michelin Bib Gourmand guide. Recently, many high-end restaurants have been increasing in the Best 100 list, so it would be a shame to lose a beloved local gem like this one that you can easily visit. The reason for closing is said to be the lack of a successor, which is truly unfortunate as there is no one to carry on this taste. It may be difficult to sustain as a town restaurant for lunch due to slow turnover. The shop opens at 11:30, but the first group of people in line who couldn't get in was seated 50 minutes after opening. However, only two groups of three people were seated, with about 10 people still waiting in line ahead of me. There were many more people waiting, as there were several groups waiting for a table. Eventually, even though I lined up right at opening, I was only able to enter the shop an hour and a half later, which was tough in the scorching heat. The shop has a narrow counter and table seating, where you may be asked to share a table, but there were some empty tables due to people who missed their reservations. Inside the shop, the jazz BGM gives it a café-like atmosphere rather than a typical town restaurant vibe, but the clientele, with many loud-talking older ladies, created an amusing contrast. For lunch, three types of sets (A to C) are available, each with about four appetizers, which made me think that the cooking process must be time-consuming. However, since there was nothing I particularly liked that day, I ordered the "Shrimp Miso Fried Rice" from the à la carte menu. Locals seem to prefer takeout rather than eating in the shop, as some even brought their own containers (laughs). While waiting in the scorching heat, I thought that if I hadn't known that the shop was closing at the end of October, I might not have lined up, but the fried rice at this shop is indeed delicious! The plump shrimp on top of the fried rice, coated with egg, had a fluffy and gentle texture when eaten, and the finely chopped roasted pork, along with the aroma of shrimp miso, was irresistible. If it were a bit cooler, I might even recommend lining up to eat it (laughs). Apparently, reservations for dinner are fully booked until the last day. However, if you opt for the lunch course, there may still be availability for reservations.
