I visited a newly opened counter-only yakiniku restaurant. With just counter seating, it’s suitable for 1-2 people, but there might be space for three if you squeeze in a bit. For two people, you can enjoy your meal without feeling cramped next to each other. Orders are placed via a QR code. I would have appreciated an overall menu overview, but since the menu is simple and clearly categorized, it wasn’t difficult to make a choice. It's all salt-based, with no sauces! Although there’s no kalbi, the "enpitsu" cut was tender and fatty enough to serve as a substitute. My personal recommendations are the salted yukke, which has pickled shiba-zuke for a nice contrast; the salted harami, which releases a delicious meaty flavor; and the kimchi assortment, featuring lotus root, cucumber, yam, and cabbage with great umami and no sourness. Just be aware that it does get quite smoky! I would love to visit again.

A hot new yakitori restaurant opened in Gotanda on August 1, 2024! This establishment specializes in salt-flavored grilled meat. The manager is Kōdai Mori. The nearest station is JR Gotanda Station, just a 3-minute walk from the west exit.
The restaurant operates from 5 PM to midnight and features counter seating only, accommodating a total of 18 guests. Reservations can be made by phone or through the Tabelog website.
They accept various credit cards for payment, but do not handle cash. Recommended meat dishes include the "Enpitsu Yaki," which features the rare cut "Enpitsu" sliced thinly, located near the rib-eye. Other highlights include premium tongue (jō-tan), and premium skirt steak (jō-harami).
Popular side dishes include assorted namul, stewed offal, salted yukhoe, and beef tendon curry. The restaurant offers a rich selection of salt-flavored cuts at reasonable prices, making it delicious! The skirt steak is thickly cut, tender, and reasonably priced! They also offer ulte, making it an excellent choice! With great cost performance, this is an easy-to-use venue that is sure to become popular in the future.
**Menu Prices:**
- Bean Sprout Namul: 450 yen
- Ulte: 880 yen
- Salted Yukhoe: 1,800 yen
- Premium Tongue: 2,000 yen
- Enpitsu Yaki: 1,280 yen

I usually prefer salt for yakitori but like sauce for grilled meat, so I decided to try salt-grilled meat. Everything I ate was incredibly delicate in flavor and delicious. All the meats were of high quality and tender. I was surprised at how affordable it was. I will definitely go again. I want to eat the yukhoe again!

Opened at the end of August 2024, it's about a 4-5 minute walk from Gotanda Station. I visited alone around 6 PM on a weekend without a reservation, but I was able to get a seat. The salted yukhoe and the black tongue were both very delicious. I would like to try other yukhoe dishes next time. I had three bottles of beer, salted yukhoe, simmered offal, urute, black tongue, and premium harami.

Let's go to a barbecue restaurant from the series that I'm really curious about!! I was a bit late, but they welcomed me with such kindness. It's the best! The iced cold red beer really boosts my rating!! Plus, it's in a thin glass. I just love it!! The meat is overall delicious. The "enpitsu" (pencil cut) is highly praised by everyone, so I recommend it for sure. The kimchi is also really tasty. I can't say it enough! A barbecue restaurant with delicious kimchi is always a good choice. If I had to mention one thing... is it because of the salt? Or the green onions? The heat? The smoke was really intense. Maybe the ventilation isn't strong enough? If women dress up nicely, it can get quite messy, but with such delicious meat, you do what you gotta do. Thank you for the feast!!!!!!

Salt Grilled Meat Agura in Gotanda has a menu featuring items like pickled cabbage kimchi, salt yukke, raw intestines sashimi, stew of offal, premium salt beef tongue, premium salt skirt steak, "pencil grilled" meat, shima chō, cold noodles, and beef tendon curry. Although the restaurant opened in August 2024 near Gotanda Station, where grilled meat with sauce is trending, this place focuses exclusively on salt-grilled meat.
The interior has a simple atmosphere with only counter seats, making it perfect for solo diners.
The salt yukke uses parts of beef with generous amounts of sashimi, seasoned simply, and garnished with shiba-zuke pickles for a unique touch.
One of the limited menu items, "pencil grilled" meat, uses the tenderloin tip and is well-seasoned with salt. It’s recommended to cook it rare. Though there is no sauce, the seasoning varies by cut, showing thoughtful preparation. This restaurant is ideal for those who prefer enjoying delicious meat with just salt!

A new restaurant specializing in grilled meat with only a counter seating. Being new, it's exceptionally clean, and the service is polite and friendly, but both food and drink delivery can be slow. I hope they can improve on this in the future. The yukhoe is quite expensive, but the heart sashimi is reasonably priced and very filling, and the salad is also inexpensive and enough for two to share. The so-called signature pencil dish is a must-order. It's made with marbled beef cuts that melt in your mouth! The beef tongue isn't cheap, but it's thick and worth ordering. The quality is high, and I have a feeling this place will become popular.

Budget: 7500 yen a la carte
◆ Salt Yukke: The salt flavor is weak. It has shiba-zuke (pickled vegetables) in it. It's not the type that goes well with rice. Quite a peculiar taste.
◆ Tongue: This isn't salted, and the seasoning isn't right either; it has a soy sauce-like flavor which is disappointing, so I wouldn't recommend ordering it.
◆ Harami: The salted marinade is a bit on the mild side, but it was tasty.
◆ Enpitsu: This was the best dish. It's less about marinade and more about saltiness. It's soft and rare-grilled.
◆ Shima Chou: The seasoning is weak.
◆ Motsu-ni: It has a creamy texture. I prefer a stronger flavor, but I do like this style of seasoning.
◆ Urute: It's delicious, but I don't know how to explain the flavor.
◆ Cold Noodles: Sweet soy sauce-based broth, medium-thick noodles with a firm texture. The portion is small, about one serving per person.
◆ Salt Pudding: The salt had a strangely light taste, but it was unique and nice. I was told to eat it with the gari (pickled ginger), but it made it rather refreshing and not necessary for me. It took a bit long to come out, so it's better to order it early. Everything is ordered through your smartphone. The seasoning is interesting and different from other places, but since it's advertised as salt grilled meat, I expected a stronger salty flavor. Overall, the taste leans towards mild. The cost performance isn't great either, especially since items like Yukke are expensive.

The restaurant has a counter-only setup, making it easy for solo diners to feel comfortable. Since it's brand new, the place is very clean and well-maintained. The staff was attentive and provided friendly service. There were three types of Yukke (raw beef salad): Dashi Yukke, Shio Yukke (salt Yukke), and Ufu Yukke, which made it hard to choose! I tried the Shio Yukke, along with Tongue, Harami (skirt steak), Enpitsu (pencil cut), Shimacho (hog intestines), Motsuni (stewed offal), Urute (beef trachea), cold noodles, and Shio Purin (salt pudding). The staff's recommendation, the grilled Enpitsu, was delicious! Thank you for the meal! ⭐︎

I recently visited a new restaurant in Gotanda that focuses on salty flavors. The interior is clean and has a cozy vibe, making it a great place to relax! It’s mainly counter seating, so I noticed many couples coming in. The salt yukhoe was particularly delicious, and I found myself running out of rice quickly as I enjoyed it! I heard they also have dashi yukhoe and egg yukhoe, so I’d like to try the other variations next time. I forgot what type of hormone I ordered, but it was great too, with high-quality meat. I think those who prefer salty grilled meat will be especially pleased! Orders are taken via smartphone, but I think having a paper menu with pictures would make ordering easier. I definitely plan to visit again!

I was invited to a place with a lot of raw meat menu options, and as a raw meat lover, there was no way I could refuse! When I checked the menu before going, I found out there were several types of yukke, not just one. This place opened in August this year in a new building, and it only has counter seating with orders placed via QR codes.
First, I enjoyed a super cold Super Dry Extra Cold beer—it was fantastic! I was determined to try all the raw meat dishes on the menu and ended up ordering everything. The restaurant specializes in salt-grilled meat, and the garlic served as a side was a great accent. The high-quality fat of the meat paired perfectly with the refreshing garlic.
You absolutely have to finish your meal with cold noodles! I learned that their cold noodles are the same as those from a famous restaurant, and the broth was incredibly delicious. Instead of saving it for dessert, I ordered it midway through and enjoyed cleaning the plate with the broth after finishing the grilled meat—it was delightful.
Since Maruha in the East Exit has almost no raw meat options, if you want to eat raw meat in Gotanda, I definitely recommend Agura. I think this will be my top choice for yakiniku in Gotanda from now on. The concept of the restaurant gave me nostalgic feelings of old-school yakiniku places where you could indulge with 10,000 yen. I spent just a little over 10,000 yen for all this food and drink, which felt like a great deal!

Everything, including the meat and dishes, was delicious. I was curious about the other types of beef tartare aside from the salted version, so I’ll definitely come back for that! The red star bottled beer was perfectly chilled, which was amazing. The mobile ordering made it easy to place my order, and the restaurant itself was new and clean. There was a good variety of craft beers at a reasonable price, making it a very convenient spot. The beef tendon curry was full of spices and very tasty. The glass of wine was also nice. It seems like a great place to visit solo, where I can order just a few of my favorite dishes and enjoy drinks at the counter. Next time, I’ll try going by myself!

Just a 5-minute walk from Gotanda, there's a new barbecue restaurant that has opened. It has an all-counter seating arrangement on the first floor, and not many seats available. It was fully booked, probably because it just opened. You can access the menu by scanning a QR code, and payment can be made smoothly using PayPay and other methods. We enjoyed dishes like salt yukke, bean sprout namul, raw beef tendon sashimi, pencil grilled meat, and salt beef tongue. Since we didn't drink alcohol, it was about 8,000 yen per person. All the meat was fresh and delicious, but I especially loved the salt yukke with pickled shiso leaves and the pencil grilled meat. Eating the accompanying gari (pickled ginger) together when you start to feel full from the fat was a nice touch too. I'm really happy that such a great restaurant has opened close to my home! I will definitely visit again!

I visited "Shio Yakiniku Agura" on Friday night for the first time. The restaurant opened in August 2024 and has been open for almost a month. Its features are as follows:
- Yakiniku served at the counter
- No dipping sauces, as the focus is on enjoying the meat with salt
- Mobile ordering, no cash payments
This is quite nice. The meat is high quality, including top-grade harami, tongue, and liver, all fresh and delicious. The selection of beer and whiskey is also upscale, which suits my taste. The service is attentive, and the atmosphere of the restaurant evokes a sense of being in a sushi bar, allowing guests to enjoy high-quality meat in a calm setting.
Lastly, I tried the cold noodles, which were also excellent. I appreciate that they are taking on the challenge of competing in the hotly contested yakiniku area of Gotanda. I hope they continue to strive for improvement without becoming complacent. I’ll definitely visit again! Thank you for the meal. Visit date: September 20, 2024.

A casual counter-style yakiniku restaurant located on the first floor, just after crossing the river from Gotanda towards Osaki Hirosukuji. It's a place where you can easily dine alone, and the depth of flavor in the dishes is astonishing. This restaurant offers a counter-based, authentic yakiniku experience that is quite rare. Here are the staff's recommendations:
- **Simmered Dish**: The broth from the Achilles tendon is extremely delicious, with a depth akin to bouillon. It's exceptional.
- **Salted Yukke**: Contains shiba-zuke (pickled vegetables) that provide an excellent texture. Made with thigh meat, it has a rich flavor and intense oiliness.
- **Egg Yukke**: This dish is intricate, featuring shallots, milk, and garlic. It's creamy with a taste reminiscent of tartar sauce but with a strong impact.
- **Pencil Grill**: The seasoning with salt is incredibly impactful. It has a satisfying texture with a great balance between fat and lean meat.
- **Tsukami**: Quite thickly sliced, the richness of the meat is pronounced.
- **Loin**: Seasoned perfectly with salt and pepper, it offers a strong taste of the lean meat; simply excellent.
- **Curry Rice**: The beef flavor is incredible, made from a broth of tendons. The preparation is intense, and it's incredibly tasty. The owners delayed the opening to perfect the seasoning through numerous trials.
It’s still relatively easy to get a table, so if you love yakiniku, it's recommended to visit sooner rather than later.

While strolling around the streets, I suddenly came across this restaurant. It's a beautiful yakiniku (grilled meat) place with a counter. After seeing comments from others, I learned that it just opened recently. As a fan of salt seasoning, I couldn't wait to visit and made a reservation. I started with a beer, and you could feel the attention to detail even in serving just one glass. Everything was delicious, but the salt-seasoned yukke (raw beef) was exquisite. The kimchi platter was also made with wonderful ingredients. Instead of squeezing lemon, they serve it with their homemade gari (pickled ginger), which pairs perfectly. I think it's a great yakiniku restaurant where you can enjoy a meal even if you're dining alone!

Everything is delicious, but the salt yukhoe is a must-order. I usually don't eat 'gari' with my grilled meat, but when I tried it with the roast, it was amazing! The restaurant is still new, and the interior is clean and stylish. It might also be perfect for a date☺️. The owner is friendly, and I definitely want to come back again!

The restaurant is located on the first floor of a new building close to Gotanda Station. The entrance is completely glass, making it easy to see inside, but if you sit towards the back, it's not too bothersome. The building is long and narrow, and the interior features a long counter seating arrangement. While customers can enjoy their meals without any stress, it seems challenging for the staff as they navigate the narrow passageways. I worry about how smoothly operations will run when the place is fully packed.
However, the tabletop roaster for grilling meat, which is becoming increasingly rare, brings a sense of nostalgia and excitement. I ordered kalbi, tongue, and lean beef, and personally, I preferred the seasoning on the kalbi. True to the name "salt-grilled meat," it was seasoned without any sauce, yet it was simply delicious. The egg soup was also very tasty, with a nice touch of sesame oil. Next, I’d like to try the offals. If you're looking to enjoy grilled meat in Gotanda, I would definitely recommend this place.

I visited this restaurant with a fellow food lover. It was a new experience to enjoy tongue with garlic, and it was delicious. The raw egg with beef (uhyukke) was also creamy and tasty, something I hadn't tried before. The meat had a lot of marbling, and I was particularly surprised by the amount of marbling in the skirt steak. Despite being skirt steak, it released juice with every bite. I enjoyed balancing the richness of the fat in my mouth with rice and garlic. Next time, I want to try some items I didn't order, especially the heart (hatsu) and pork intestines (maruchou). I think this place is perfect for a quick meal with just a few people.

I usually go around visiting top hundred restaurants, and I happened to find this place. They don’t use any sauce at all, just salt, which is very fresh. The meat had no odor and was of excellent quality. It's not an exaggeration to say that this is the best barbecue restaurant in Gotanda.

A stylish yakiniku restaurant that only has a counter. Focusing on salt-grilled meat, the quality of the meat itself was excellent. The pencil cut was particularly good, with a reasonable price and a tender texture. The loin was thin and large, making it perfect for wrapping around rice for eating. (I found the flavor of the tongue to be a bit contrived and didn’t like it much.) The accompanying gari had just the right amount of sweetness, and the kimchi assortment had a good variety. The impression of this place is less about indulging in luxurious yakiniku and more about enjoying a light and effortlessly delightful salt flavor. In fact, there were quite a few solo diners. Recently, I feel that restaurants with a focused menu have been on the rise. This place not only specializes in salt but also has a menu that excludes options like gukbap and wine bottles. While it's common now to use smartphones for ordering, it would be better if the restaurant’s recommendations were more clearly presented.
