I found this place while looking for a lunch spot nearby during work. It's in Asahikawa, but they specialize in salt ramen. I was a bit skeptical when I saw the "legendary salt ramen" claim, but I decided to try their salt ramen with black chicken. I ordered the chashu ramen. The black chicken had a slightly unique taste, with ginger on top which added a nice touch. The broth was a bit richer than regular chicken broth, and the ginger helped balance it out well. The chashu was made from lean thigh meat with a strong soy sauce flavor, a bit on the salty side. Overall, it was quite delicious. Thank you for the meal!

There are several big signs for the legendary salt ramen. It gives off an atmosphere where you can only order salt-based ramen. It's wonderful to see a city known for soy sauce like Asahikawa competing with salt ramen. It's very delicious. I don't know the reason for the legend, but it's really tasty.

Today's lunch was at Asahikawa Ramen Saijo Asahikawa Honten. I ordered the miso ramen and beef tendon rice bowl set for 950 yen. The food was served in about 10 minutes. The gentle yet flavorful soup went well with the noodles. The beef tendon rice bowl was amazing, with plenty of tender beef tendons topped with mayonnaise.

It was truly a legendary salt ramen! This time, I ordered the ramen set. The Salt Chashu Ramen with Chicken and a side of half fried rice costs 1170 yen! Winner of the Asahikawa Ramen Grand Prix Salt Division 1st Place! The legendary salt ramen lived up to its name. The Salt Chashu Ramen with Chicken was truly amazing. The soup was incredibly rich, yet not overpowering. It had a hint of grated ginger on top, which was a nice touch. The chashu was tender and made from pork shoulder. It was lean, but very flavorful and tender. If I had to nitpick, the noodles were a bit too soft for my liking with such a rich soup. However, being the legendary salt ramen, it was still delicious. I had salt-flavored Jidori chicken ramen! I was seated promptly. The ramen had a rich soup base and was delicious. Mixing the ginger on top of the naruto added a refreshing flavor. After adding the ginger, the smell of chicken broth was also reduced. It was delicious!

I had been thinking of going because it was featured in a magazine. The atmosphere is not dirty, but it has a sense of history. The staff are all friendly. Customers keep coming in without a break. I tried the salt ramen, which is the signature dish since it was my first visit. There were also other interesting menu items that caught my eye. The soup is salty but rich, yet light. It has a deep umami flavor that makes you want to drink it all up. The balance of noodles and toppings felt just right. Overall, it was a delicious salt ramen with plenty of umami flavor that explains its popularity.

I visited Sajo for the first time in a while and had the Asahi Ramen and fried rice set. The ramen had a rich flavor that reminded me of Asahikawa's soy sauce, but it wasn't too salty, which I liked. The fried rice was not too overpowering and came with a salad that complemented the ramen well. It was a great deal. Thank you for the meal.

Salt Ramen for 650 yen is a bit cheap, with a slightly garlicky and milky-rich soup that is addictively tasty. The noodles and soup are both piping hot and delicious. The counter is divided by partitions, alcohol spray is available, and all staff wear masks even in the heat to prevent infection, which is wonderful. PayPay is accepted.

Today I came to Saijo Main Store and had the Asahikawa Shoyu Hormone Ramen. It only took 10 minutes to be served. The soup was light and clear. The toppings included hormone, cabbage, kaiware, carrot, bean sprouts, mizuna, wood ear mushrooms, onion, and another vegetable that looked like pickles? It had Naruto and menma as well. The medium curly noodles were cooked slightly firm, which was just right. The ramen village was softer. The hormone was very tender and cooked in a sweet seasoning. The combination of various vegetables created a delicious flavor.

It's been about 5 years since my last visit. This restaurant located behind Don Quijote is known for their salt ramen. It was a Sunday at 12:15pm and more than half of the seats were already taken. Clearly, this place is popular! Established in 1971, this long-standing shop originally started as a dining hall, so they offer a variety of set meals in addition to ramen. The "legendary salt ramen" they boast about made me wonder if most people order the salt flavor. I've only ever had the salt ramen here (lol). The salt ramen is reasonably priced at 650 yen. From what I heard other customers ordering, it seems like many opt for the salt version of the black-bone chicken ramen. Since I hadn't tried it before, I decided to order the black-bone chicken ramen (salt) for 820 yen. It arrived in about 7-8 minutes, with a piece of naruto in the center and grated ginger on top. The taste of the black-bone chicken soup was unfamiliar to me, but the soup had a very soft texture and the flavor intensified when the ginger melted into it. The noodles were thin and low in water content, making them a perfect match for the soup. The toppings included a large piece of braised pork belly chashu, seasoned bamboo shoots, spinach, kaiware sprouts, and green onions. This ramen had a nostalgic feel to it and was delicious until the last bite!

Salt ramen is very popular at Saijo-san. The ramen set meal for 630 yen is the main attraction. It's amazing to get ramen, rice, and side dishes all in one set for this price, right? They say it's limited to 10 servings, so I was very curious and hurried to the shop. 10 minutes after opening, there were no other customers. Throughout my stay, there was only one other person? I ordered and the set meal was quickly brought to me. It included salt ramen, small rice, salted salmon, and other side dishes. The ramen had chashu, menma, nori, and naruto. It's a wonderful set meal at this price. The salt ramen initially tasted light, but gradually the saltiness became noticeable. The salted salmon side dish also had a bit too much salt? This set meal was satisfying in terms of both taste and portion size. It's a great value ramen set meal that I felt satisfied with. I'll definitely go for this ramen set meal next time too. It's a ramen set meal where you can be satisfied with both the taste and portion size.

"Saijo" Hidekiya Shozo It's been a while since I've been to Asahikawa alone. Oh, it's really been a while. Winter is tough, as expected. I hesitate to cross the mountain pass. I go to Sapporo, but... I'm invited to Sapporo, but no one invites me to Asahikawa. In fact, I'm told not to come. But no matter what they say, I don't care and I just want to eat ramen. "Saijo" is behind Don Quijote on Route 40, right? When I arrived, I saw a ramen shop I've been to before across the street. Oh, the nearby grocery store doesn't have a phone number, so they didn't register me. The place across the street seems to have a lot of customers, but the customer in front of me sat at the counter alone. It seemed like I didn't need to be shy. Even solo customers sat at the table. The counter is hard to take pictures of, so I didn't have time to take notes. "It's salt ramen for 650 yen," they said. It was ready in 2 minutes. Isn't that too fast? The appearance is good for the price of 650 yen. It's hard to avoid the kaiware. The noodles don't strongly emphasize Asahikawa. It's low hydration, but slightly low hydration? It's delicious. The menma is sweet and heavily seasoned, which is not to my liking. Whether or not there's naruto, it doesn't matter, but without it, the color seems lonely. The chashu is soft and salty, with a slightly gamey taste. It soon becomes unnoticeable. The green onions and nori in the soup are delicious. You can slightly taste the garlic, and the soup is a bit dry, not too salty. It's a bit oily and has a good umami and richness. It's like tonkotsu. The kitchen has a sense of cleanliness. There are four seats at the counter, with two raised tables behind them. I couldn't see the table seats well, but when I looked back on the way out, there were three tables. Two solo customers were sitting at two of them. There is only one TV here, and it seems that those at the counter and the raised tables are not allowed to watch TV. There were two women and one man. They appeared only by voice. Everyone seemed nice. It was delicious salt ramen."

I had ramen for the first time this year. Since eating it at the 3.6 festival, it was my first time having it at the restaurant. I ordered the beef tendon, while my wife and kids shared the salt flavor. The salt flavor seems to be their specialty, but I think I prefer the soy sauce flavor. The beef tendon was tender and easy to eat. I feel like the salt flavor I had at the festival was more delicious. The lunch set on weekdays is unusually cheap, but since today is a holiday, I had to give it a pass. I wonder if the black chicken ramen is popular? They seem to offer black chicken ramen in miso, salt, and soy sauce flavors, so I might try the soy sauce black chicken next time.

On a holiday afternoon, I had "Salt Ramen" and my wife had "Soy Sauce Ramen" (both for 630 yen) for lunch. It was the first time in 8 years that I had eaten here. This place is known for its "Black Bone Chicken Ramen". Personally, I prefer the mild oiliness of the regular ramen. The pork bone-based soup had a slightly high salt content. The medium wavy noodles from Sudo Seimen paired well with the soup. The well-seasoned chashu was delicious. However, I found it a bit too salty for my taste. I finally got to try the legendary salt ramen. If I have the chance, I would definitely visit again.

I failed. My wife, 5-year-old daughter, and sons in 7th and 9th grade, the four of us had three large servings for 120 yen each and one regular serving. The large servings here definitely come with two portions! We were stuffed! Thank you for the meal.
