The curry at the golf course was not great, so I stopped by on the way home because I was feeling a bit hungry. It's a bit past lunchtime but the place is quite crowded. Luckily, I was able to find a seat without waiting too long. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. There are many dishes I would like to try, such as mackerel sushi set and chicken rice set, but today I decided to go with the steamed dish. I really like the taste of the soba dipping sauce here. Just as I was enjoying the soba dipping sauce, they also served me hot soba tea. I also had some pickles (which I didn't know when to eat) with my tea to savor the lingering flavors. The chicken looked like it was from a mature chicken, so I definitely want to try it next time. I will make sure to come with an empty stomach next time. I enjoyed my meal today as well. Thank you for the delicious food.

I had always wanted to visit this restaurant. The exterior is overwhelming, and I can imagine the maintenance must be difficult. I arrived on Wednesday at 12 o'clock and the restaurant was full, so I had to write my name on a waiting list. A single seat opened up right away, at a table for six where you don't have to take off your shoes. I sat alone at the edge of the table. The staff efficiently assigned me a shoe rack number, probably to guide me to the corresponding table. It was a simple system, but I had never seen it before. The pickled cabbage served with water was tangy with a hint of koji flavor, and topped with a slice of chili pepper. I ordered a non-alcoholic beer for 400 yen, which was served in a small bottle along with a glass. I usually drink Dry Zero in a can at home, but the bottled version tasted milder. For lunch, I chose the mackerel sushi set with soba for 1350 yen. The soba noodles were thin and white, served with a refreshing broth. The condiments were wasabi and green onions. The mackerel sushi was placed on top of rice, with shiso leaf, wasabi, mackerel, and white kelp. The mackerel sushi was large and the rice was firm, making it a bit challenging to eat. Another customer had requested theirs to be cut in half when ordering, which seemed like a good idea. There was no soy sauce on the table, so I assumed it was meant to be eaten as is. I enjoyed the meal, making sure to be careful not to spill anything. The mackerel did fall apart a bit, but that was expected. The vinegar rice was not overpowering. The set came with a soft-boiled egg, which I ate as is. I wondered if there was a specific way to eat it, but I just went for it. I finished my meal in 40 minutes and paid 1750 yen. I would like to visit again during a less busy time to explore the interior of this intriguing building.

Sapporo City, Shiroishi Ward, Soba Restaurant "Sobaden" has an impressive and luxurious exterior. Despite that, the prices are not too high and the food is delicious. It's no wonder this place is popular. I visit regularly, but this was my first time coming in the height of summer. I took off my shoes and entered the spacious room in the back. After ordering, I was served water, a cloth towel, and sour pickles. I ordered the following: - Chilled Zaru Soba with extra noodles 1030 yen - Duck Seiro Soba with countryside style 1730 yen - Mackerel Sushi Stick 620 yen The beautiful tempura bits were a nice touch on the Zaru Soba. Grated daikon radish, minced fish cake, cucumber, and seaweed were served on the side. I poured the cold dipping sauce over the noodles and mixed it all together. The harmony of flavors created by mixing everything was delightful. The Mackerel Sushi Stick came in two large pieces, perfect for sharing. It was refreshing and the fish was tender and tasty. The Duck Seiro Soba was hand-cut in the countryside style. I dipped the grey soba noodles in the delicious broth and slurped them up. Adding some sansho pepper made it even more delicious! The staff were attentive, and we were even served buckwheat tea after the meal. I left feeling completely satisfied. Next time, I want to try the pork cutlet rice bowl set for lunch on a weekday. Thank you for the wonderful meal. Thank you very much!

I ordered the value set. I chose the countryside soba, which costs extra compared to the Sara soba, but it has a satisfying texture and is delicious. The kashiwa rice is also delicious with a rich dashi flavor. After the meal, I had a coffee, which was a well-balanced and easy-to-drink cup. Thank you for the meal. Soba set with kashiwa rice set 1,080 yen Countryside soba +100 yen Coffee after the meal 200 yen

Lately, I've been coming around here a lot, and it's another visit! I couldn't forget the last time I had the katsudon, so this time I ordered a regular katsudon and kakesoba! I usually have two servings of soba, one with seiro and one kake, but having katsu and soba was tough! But seriously, the rice here is delicious! I heard it's Nanatsuboshi rice, and it seems like they searched for it and found it! I'll be back soon!

Today, I stopped by this place for a bite before work. It's my golf buddy's senior's restaurant, and the atmosphere is amazing. I ordered a mini katsu-don and a plate of mochigome seiro noodles. I've been getting into more seiro lately, and the noodles here are thin but have a nice chew to them. I thought the sauce could be a bit stronger, but first, I'll dig into the katsu-don. Oh, this rice is incredibly tasty! The grains are firm and shiny. I could eat another bowl. Just as I was about to finish the seiro, they brought out some soba-yu. The timing is perfect! There are many fast-paced restaurants out there, but it's not good if the food gets cold. It's a sign of a good restaurant when they're busy but still attentive to their customers.

A calm atmosphere restaurant. This is my second visit. This time I chose warm burdock soba, which had a satisfying texture. I also ordered tempura. The restaurant is usually crowded so it's recommended to arrive early as the parking lot in front of the store and across the road can be full, making it difficult to find a spot during meal times.

I visited a soba lunch. Customers keep coming in one after another. The mackerel stick sushi set has a good elasticity and chewiness. The mackerel sushi is finished with a moderate amount of vinegar and has thick slices of mackerel on slightly soft rice. Thank you for the meal. - Mackerel stick sushi set 1,280 yen, add countryside soba for an additional 100 yen.

I have visited this restaurant several times, and this time I ordered the "Herring Soba". The soba came with a generous portion of large kombu herring on top. The broth had a sweet flavor with a hint of kombu dashi, which was very delicious and soothing for my tired body. The soba noodles were made in a rustic style, allowing the flavor of the soba to shine through, and it paired perfectly with both the broth and herring. Personally, I prefer the chewier texture of soba noodles, so I always opt for the hand-cut rustic noodles instead of the more common thinner noodles. I also tried the "Kariho" sake, which had a strong flavor that paired wonderfully with the soba. The "Salmon Toban" was another highlight for me, with a juicy texture and crispy exterior that made it a perfect appetizer while waiting for the soba to arrive. The "Tamagoyaki" was also delicious, with a rich dashi flavor that complemented the sake well. The restaurant has a serene atmosphere with beautiful wooden decor and well-maintained gardens, showcasing the owner's passion for creating a welcoming space. While the location may be a bit difficult to reach via public transportation, the quality of the food and the ambiance of the restaurant make it worth the visit for any soba enthusiast in Sapporo. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

I visited for lunch. Weekday lunch sets with rice bowls and soba are a good deal. Today, I ordered without hesitation. - Katsudon set: 1180 yen - Upgrade to local style: plus 100 yen However, in Sapporo, it's rare, so I added this incredibly delicious item! - Saba stick sushi: 600 yen The soba had a good texture, with a rich sauce and delicious flavor! It comes with a soft-boiled egg, so I pour it over the katsudon! I finished with soba broth and saba stick sushi! Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant a little before noon on a regular day. I was seated quickly because I arrived early, but then more and more customers kept coming in. The clientele seemed to consist of businessmen entertaining clients and elderly people who seemed to have some leisure in their lives, giving the place a slightly high-class feel. The building of the restaurant is a grand traditional Japanese-style structure, which is rare to see in Hokkaido. I ordered the large serving of hand-cut country soba (1,080 yen). First, I was served pickled Chinese cabbage and water, and then the soba was brought to me after about 10 minutes. The soba noodles were thick and brown, but not too firm, making them easy to eat. The dipping sauce had a subtle scent of sansho pepper and was slightly sweet. The condiments included green onions and wasabi. The soba broth that was served towards the end of the meal was light and piping hot. I had never been to this place before, but it seemed to be the main branch of a pub called Takabe's Tea House run by a noodle-making company. The traditional Japanese-style building seemed old but very sturdy, creating a solemn atmosphere. The staff were efficient in their customer service and had a good level of experience. Despite not being in a bustling area, away from main roads and train stations, this popular restaurant seemed to attract many people who came by car just to enjoy their soba noodles.

I really like the duck seiro here the best. The sarashina soba also has a good texture and I finished it in no time haha. This time, I also ordered a tempura assortment. The shrimp was big and crispy, very delicious. The parking lot is spacious and there are plenty of spaces, so it's recommended for those coming by car. However, even on weekdays, there may be a wait during lunchtime, so it's best to go early or a little later. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived about 10 minutes before the store opened, and there were no customers in the parking lot. By the time the store opened, there were already 2 groups waiting. Feeling hungry and cold, I ordered warm soba and a mini rice bowl, opting for the parent-and-child rice bowl and a small pork cutlet rice bowl for the first time. After ordering, pickled Chinese cabbage was served, which had a sour taste that whetted my appetite. In less than 10 minutes, our order arrived. The soba was piping hot! When I sipped the broth, it had a sweet and mellow taste, just the way I like it. The generous amount of chicken and fluffy egg paired well with the more-soba noodles. It was a consistently delicious taste. The small pork cutlet rice bowl was more filling than I expected. It would be impossible for one person to finish a regular size, but the portion was satisfying and manageable. Although the soba portion was also surprisingly large, making it slightly challenging towards the end. Despite being small, the flavor was rich. While it didn't have bamboo shoots as expected, it was still delicious without being too heavy. As I alternated between eating the soba and rice bowl, I was impressed by the deliciousness of the leeks in the soba. The parent-and-child rice bowl was a great success. Once again, I ended up with a full stomach today.

Our restaurant uses carefully selected ingredients such as Hokkaido buckwheat flour, Kyoto Shichimi spice, locally raised chicken, Hokkaido duck, Hokkaido pork, and fresh eggs. We strive to serve each customer with the dedication of a personal soba chef, following the tradition of one customer, one teahouse. Our menu and atmosphere exude deliciousness. The mackerel sushi is incredibly tasty. Now, onto the soba. The white Moretsu has a clean appearance, while the Inaka has a rich black color, both with a firm texture and a strong rustic flavor. The sweet broth and our special spice blend create a perfect harmony of flavors. Thank you for the feast.

We visited Soden for the first time, as we had errands nearby and my companion had been curious about it for a while. It was around 12:30 on a Saturday, and the place was already full, so we had to wait a bit before being seated at a table. The restaurant's impressive beams, intricate transom work, and beautiful garden caught our eyes. We both ordered the Kamonan Soba with tempura. The menu was extensive, and they also offer a great lunch set deal on weekdays. Our Kamonan Soba with tempura arrived in less than 20 minutes. The tempura included two large prawns and various vegetables, making for a satisfying portion. Although the amount of soba seemed a bit less than expected, the Kamonan Soba had a great texture and tasted delicious. Next time, we might just order the soba alone and be satisfied. Thank you for the meal. It's no wonder this place is popular, as there were many customers waiting to get in as we left.

I had the parent and child soba, and my wife had the chilled burdock soba. The parent and child soba reminds me of the main store of Kushiro Chikurien. The burdock tempura is crispy, but I wish it had a bit more of the burdock's texture. The low tables and chairs were not a problem for us, but people over 185 cm tall may find it uncomfortable with their knees hitting the table. The egg topping on the parent and child soba is exquisite. It's not too firm, fluffy, and just a little bit of egg melts into the broth, making it mild. The flavor of the chicken parent bird and the aroma of the soft white leeks complement each other, creating a perfectly balanced dish in my opinion. We will definitely come back ❤️

I visited Soden last week, but there was a long line outside so I had to give up and come back today. It's been a while since I visited a big restaurant like this. I arrived almost at the opening time of 11 o'clock, and there were already a few customers inside. I decided to go with the hand-cut country soba (large serving) and mushroom tempura. The tempura arrived first, with a decent portion size. Shortly after, the main dish arrived. The visual of the country soba was strong and appealing. The soba noodles were delicious, with a strong texture and chewiness that I love. The soba broth was a bit light, which left me wanting a bit more flavor. The mushroom tempura was thick and had a great chewy texture. It was better to eat it with salt rather than dipping it in the soba broth to fully enjoy the mushroom's flavor. Although it didn't look like a lot, I felt quite full after finishing the meal. This country soba is truly satisfying. I had planned to visit another soba restaurant after this, but I will save it for next time. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since I had soba. The atmosphere of the garden was very Japanese, giving off a rural vibe. I arrived at Tori Seiro right when it opened at 11am, and there were already five groups of customers. The soba was served quickly, and I was satisfied after about 20 minutes. I also enjoyed the soba broth and soba tea. It was simply delicious.
