The mixed juice, made from seasonal fresh fruits, is rich and delicious without being overly sweet, representing Osaka's delicious mixed juice. The caramel sundae features homemade pudding at its core, surrounded by vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and fruits. The pudding is soft and rich, complemented by the subtle caramel flavor. The vanilla ice cream and whipped cream on the sides are also delicious without being too sweet. The hotcakes, served in a stack of two, are not overly thick and come with generous butter. The fluffy texture and buttery flavor make them irresistibly delicious. I visited around 4 pm on the weekend. There was no wait and I was able to get a seat, but the place was full. The menu includes coffee for 650 yen and a cake set for around 1200 yen. I ordered an iced coffee, which was rich and not watery like some others. It was very delicious!

I was curious about "Jun Kissaten American" in Dotonbori. Arrived at 13:44. Seating available. Ordered. Coffee frappe arrived at 13:52. Paid at 14:28. Left the restaurant. Coffee frappe for 890 yen. The frappe made with American's special home-roasted coffee has a rich flavor and is delicious. The combination with vanilla ice cream is also good. On September 19, 2023, I visited the retro-style coffee shop "American" in Dotonbori for the first time for lunch. The spacious coffee shop with a chandelier and carpet gives off a cozy vibe like stepping back in time. I chose the omurice set from the food menu. While the omurice alone costs 930 yen and coffee 600 yen, the lunch set is a better deal at 1,300 yen. The omurice had a strong ketchup flavor, typical of a coffee shop, which I enjoyed. The ketchup rice was subtly seasoned with onions, mushrooms, and a bit of chicken, keeping it simple. The plate may look large due to its design, but the portion size is actually on the smaller side. The iced coffee, known as "レーコ" in Osaka during the Showa era, brought back nostalgic memories. The call of "レーコワン〜！" resonated happily. The gum syrup and milk served in a pot added to the retro style. I found myself wanting to linger in this leisurely atmosphere of the coffee shop. A satisfying lunch experience at the nostalgic coffee shop!

In the past, the first coffee shop I visited in Osaka was American here. I wondered what a "pure coffee shop" was. At that time, there was Shiro Siro from the now-defunct Subro Shiro in the store. I remember he had a beard and looked intimidating as he had retired as a comedian. A few years later, when I revisited, the popular 2D Kengun was counting tickets and cash on the table with his girlfriend. This time, when I visited after a long time, there were no Yoshimoto comedians in the store. Maybe the current comedians don't visit American.

I found a famous traditional coffee shop in Dotonbori. The interior of the shop gives off a Showa era vibe. The shop is relatively spacious and I was able to sit down without waiting in line. The hotcakes with plenty of honey on top were especially delicious.

On a holiday afternoon after 2 p.m., it was too hot so I took a little break. I waited in line inside the crowded shop and then sat at a 4-person table. Since I was in Osaka, I ordered a mixed juice. My friend ordered an iced cafe au lait and pudding. The shop was full of energy with a Showa era vibe. The mixed juice was ordinary. The pudding was delicious with a rich flavor. The atmosphere of the shop was interesting.

On July 29, 2023 (Saturday) in the afternoon, my partner and I went to a sweets shop during our second day of the Osaka trip. We first had shumai at Ichibotei in Nipponbashi, then decided to try the American coffee shop at Dotonbori, which was established in 1946. It is listed in the top 100 coffee shops on Tabelog for 2022. I have written reviews for 20 out of the 100 shops, ranking 19th overall (laughs). We were seated right in the middle to the right as soon as we entered. We ordered a cream soda (770 yen) and a pudding sundae (930 yen). Although we had passed by this shop before, we had never entered until now. The interior had a nostalgic Showa era feel, which was very nice. There were many young Chinese and Korean couples, making the place lively. The pudding in the sundae had a deliciously baked flavor, and it tasted great with the whipped cream and ice cream. The cream soda felt a bit light on the soda side. The total bill came to 1700 yen. I had wanted to try this shop for a while, so I was glad to finally visit it with my partner.

Today's accommodation is near here. It's also a taste of Osaka that brings back memories. I come here every time without fail. Of course, it's the tiramisu. Even after 8 pm, it's fully booked. Pudding Fashion ☆ A shop located in the liveliest place in Namba ☆ It is always crowded regardless of day or night. Prices are on the higher side, but the pudding was indeed delicious. The staff seemed a bit disinterested. When ordering a cake set, they only brought the drink and forgot the cake. When I pointed it out, they brought it from the showcase. If you're just going to buy pudding for takeout, it might be worth it?

I had an egg sandwich and pancakes. Both the egg sandwich and pancakes had a nice salty flavor that I really enjoyed. Especially the pancakes, they were sweet and fluffy, absolutely delicious!
