My old friend from Sapporo guided me to this place. It's a bit far from Sapporo Station but has a nice atmosphere. Thanks to my friend's reservation, we were able to be seated smoothly. They mentioned that there is a two-hour all-you-can-drink option, so we naturally asked for it and started with a glass of draft beer. For snacks, we ordered charcoal-grilled chicken, aspara tempura, a sashimi platter, and marinated tuna zangi. We enjoyed the food and continued with conquering Hokkaido sake. Thank you for the meal, fish in Hokkaido is indeed delicious.

I often use this bar and visited it as my second stop today. They have a large screen where they occasionally show soccer games, which adds to the lively atmosphere. The comfort and food at this place are top-notch, making it very convenient. I always make sure to order the beef noodles here, as the seasoning is just perfect. I try other items on the menu as well, but personally, I highly recommend the beef noodles. It's also conveniently located near the station, which is another reason why I often visit. I definitely want to go back again! Thank you for the meal! 🍽️

Visited at 6pm on a regular weekday with a reservation for 2 people. Despite being just before the lifting of restrictions, the restaurant was quite busy. Located to the left of JR Sapporo Station North Exit, past Yodobashi Camera, in a standalone house. We were seated in a small private room with a transparent vinyl curtain hanging from the ceiling in the center, although it seemed a bit high up to serve any purpose (laughs). During the restriction period, all drinks were all-you-can-drink for 980 yen! (Coupon available on the official website). My companion was looking forward to this. The draft beer was a pleasant Premium Malt's Ale. We were served 3 appetizers. For food, we ordered: - Sashimi assortment of 5 types (1408 yen): We wanted the 10-piece assortment, but they could only do 5. Salmon, sea bream, yellowtail, amberjack, octopus, 2 pieces each. All delicious! - Smoked salmon and cream cheese roll (638 yen): Recommended for the month. A spiral type with a good balance of salmon and cheese! - Specialty! Raw chicken tataki (half size) (968 yen): Goes well with garlic soy sauce! The tataki was crispy and delicious! - Miso-grilled black cod (638 yen): Recommended for the month. Delicious! But it was more like salt-grilled than with miso flavor. - Smelt tempura (638 yen): Recommended for the month. Quite generous portion, juicy and delicious! However, it cools down quickly. Also, 2 pieces of shishito peppers. - Raw mackerel with grated ginger (748 yen): Tasty with a strong ginger flavor! My companion said this was the most delicious (laughs). It was a satisfying and delicious meal. The bill came to 4000 yen per person, which was reasonable. Will definitely come back!

After a long time, we had a party at a restaurant and toasted with highballs! When a lot of members gather, the excitement goes up even before drinking. Sashimi and the famous local chicken tataki are served individually. We switched to Dassai sake halfway through and had a great time drinking plenty of alcohol for 2 hours!

I was taken to this restaurant in Sapporo for a business visit. Due to the decrease in customers because of the coronavirus, the entrance had a display of sashimi assortment for 500 yen to attract customers, giving the impression that the restaurant is trying hard. I ordered sashimi platter, salmon roe, ramen salad, and some menu items that go well with sake. The sashimi platter for 500 yen was impressive in terms of quantity, but the service was a bit disappointing. The salesperson who brought me there was also very disappointed, and it made me feel sorry that they apologized. This is the first time in a while that I have given a rating of 3.0 or below to a restaurant.

At night, they offer all-you-can-eat tuna, so this negitoro bowl for 880 yen benefits from a large influx of tuna. The richness of the lean meat and the fatty medium toro mix together, creating a negitoro bowl with the best cost performance. I always want to go for seconds, so I drink many bowls of miso soup and try to resist. ⭐︎

I visited around 1:00 p.m. on a weekday. I was planning to have omurice at Ginsei Shokudo, but it seemed to be closed. So, I went to this place right next door. I knew it was a famous restaurant, and I found out that they also serve lunch now. I was considering getting the chicken nanban set, but ended up ordering the most expensive seafood bowl for lunch. It was delicious with marinated tuna, but the presentation of the bowl was not very appealing, and I felt a bit unsatisfied. Maybe it's better to have a seafood bowl at a sushi restaurant. Next time, I'll go for the chicken nanban set.

It's lunchtime at Sapporo Station, and I decided to head west after leaving the station building. I was considering trying "Ramen Jiro" today, but then I saw a sign saying "Lunch now available" and changed my plans to go to "Wagao" instead. Outside the restaurant, there was a board advertising takeout specials like the "Hikoma Pork Burger for 550 yen" and bento boxes starting at 420 yen. It was around 12 o'clock when I entered the restaurant, and I sat at the counter by the wall in a cozy half-booth seating style. The lunch menu included items like "Fried Chicken Set, Ginger Pork Set" for 580 yen + tax, and "Chicken Nanban, Miso Mackerel, Pork Cutlet Set" for 680 yen. Each set came with rice, miso soup, and a soft drink. I ordered the "Seafood Bowl for 980 yen" and received a tray with the bowl, pickles, miso soup, salad, simmered pork, soy sauce, and a soy sauce dish. The seafood bowl contained yellowtail, white fish, scallops, sweet shrimp, and salmon, all arranged with large slices of daikon radish and decorative carrot cuts. The freshness of the ingredients was decent, but the lack of lean tuna left me unsatisfied. The salad vegetables were crisp, and the saltiness of the simmered pork and miso soup was just right. The separate tax payment was a bit of a downside, but the lunch menu in the 500 yen range seemed like a good deal. They accept PayPay. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Visited the restaurant with two female friends. The menu was great, making us all want to eat more. There was an incident where the salmon salad didn't have any salmon on it, but when we told the staff, they promptly added it and even gave us a complimentary cake. The sashimi was delicious overall, and we felt like ordering another assorted sashimi platter. It's nice to try a variety of small sashimi dishes.

I used it for a year-end party with my friends. It's a bit of a distance from Sapporo Station. If it's snowing, it's a distance that might make you hesitate. When you enter the entrance, there is a sunken kotatsu seating on the right, table seating on the left, counter seating at the back, and it seems there is also a second floor. We had seats prepared in the sunken kotatsu seating. It's near the entrance, so when it opens and closes, your back might feel a bit cold. We asked for all-you-can-drink. Food is limited to two dishes per person. It's around 1,580 yen? Did we use some kind of coupon? There are quite a variety of sake options. They have Dassai 45. It seems that you can add Saku, Ta and Nozomi for an additional 500 yen for all-you-can-drink. Looking at the food menu, the prices are quite reasonable. When served, the amount is also elegant. There is also a limit of two dishes, so it's a bit tricky to balance. First, we had beer. It was delicious. We had some appetizers. Potato salad, ham, squid? The taste and amount were elegant. We had a plate of assorted snacks. It's not really an assortment, but it was delicious. We had rolled omelette with broth. It felt more like the ingredients were rolled rather than the broth. Is it like one Zangi per person? The flavor has seeped in. We had various other dishes as well. Overall, I think the food tastes good. Sake is served in a plastic masu. However, it's not poured directly from a one-sho bottle in front of you, so it's all about trust. Maybe because it's all-you-can-drink? Or maybe it's because it's a restaurant that focuses on sake, which I'm not sure about these days. Thank you for the meal.

This is a restaurant that my business partner took me to in Sapporo. I was surprised when a small abalone dish came out as an appetizer. That's something you don't see every day. They have a great selection of chicken dishes, and we also tried the thigh meat skewers and sashimi. The horse sashimi served in a staircase-like arrangement was also very good. Looking back, I wish we had tried a bit more seafood dishes. The restaurant felt a bit cramped, but considering the prices, it was not bad at all. Good food at reasonable prices, overall a pretty nice place.

Located a little off the north side of Sapporo Station in August 2019, the official name of this place is "Basue no Wagan." My imagined "Basue no Wagan" does not have any staff like Kimura Tae. They offer a Hot Pepper coupon deal on Saturdays where all Japanese sake and shochu drinks are half price! There is also a drink-all-you-can option, but the allure of half-priced drinks with no exclusions is appealing to drinkers. As for me, I'm a bit cheap, so I didn't go for the all-you-can-drink option. The appetizer costs 500 yen and includes a whole abalone per person. It's on the smaller side but has a nice crunchy texture and tastes delicious. The half portion of chicken tataki for 880 yen is a specialty dish that you'll want to keep chewing on forever. The raw mackerel with miso for 680 yen is seasoned with salt koji, sweet and salty, perfect for drinking. The straw-grilled bonito for 880 yen has a nice aroma of straw, and it's best enjoyed with rock salt, no fishy smell at all. The avocado salad for 580 yen makes you wonder where the avocado went, diced into small cubes with leafy vegetables taking the spotlight. The edamame pickled in Tosa soy sauce for 380 yen is delicious, with a strong flavor of bonito-infused soy sauce. The assorted pickles for 580 yen are authentic, different from the usual cheap bars I go to. We each had about 5 cups of shochu or awamori, and even with that, the bill was around 3,000 yen per person. The half price deal is amazing. Thank you for the meal!

The farewell party for the end of the assignment is the second one, and it was held in a small private room. I couldn't take photos because everyone was there, so this is just a memo post. The price of the food was a bit high, but the quality of the dishes was great. We had chicken sashimi, bonito straw-grilled, and tsukune served with a circular egg yolk for dipping. The all-you-can-drink option included a variety of famous local sakes, including Dassai, so sake lovers will be satisfied. I tried about 10 different sakes in order, and I reached my limit at the 7th one. It costs around 4,000 yen per person. Make sure to make a reservation in advance to secure a spot.

Fried chicken set meal for 580 yen. Comes with one drink. Rice and miso soup are refillable. The fried chicken and stewed offal are bland. I wish they had a bit more salt in the rice dishes, but they are not bad.

Next to that Ginsei Shokudo restaurant, on the opposite side, there is a yellow oil noodle shop called Sapporo-style Nua Seikatei Block. It's within walking distance, but it's a bit one-dimensional, so occasionally, I searched on Tabelog for a place I haven't visited before. I went to the main store a while back, around Minami 2-jo, and while the food was good, other aspects didn't quite match my taste (like the interior and the clientele). The impression I had back then was that the chicken tataki stood out. This time, there was a set menu for a party, but maybe because it was early, I didn't make a reservation. The famous chicken tataki disappointed me with its small portion and overcooked exterior, not rare enough inside. It felt like it was chopped-up bone-in chicken, which was a letdown. The sashimi platter with five types was decent, considering it's a low-cost izakaya. They're probably doing their best in that regard. However, compared to the regulars at the place on North 24-jo and the regulars near Sapporo Station North Exit, the quality falls short. The miso croquettes were very delicious, and the pork tsukune was also very tasty. The sake selection was good, but maybe the taste didn't come through as well due to the glass shape or condition. The ponzu sake bar under the guardrail was quite good, with a variety of famous brands and a unique atmosphere. However, I think the appeal lies more in the soft hormone and offal dishes here.

This is a place where middle-aged salarymen gather rather than young people. They are very particular about the food, with dishes like abalone served as appetizers. They have a wide selection of sake and shochu, so you won't get tired of going there. The grilled chicken skewers are excellent, so be sure to try them!
