I used this restaurant for dinner after watching a baseball game at Koshien Stadium. It's located about a 10-minute walk from JR/Hanshin Fukushima Station, or less than a 5-minute walk from the nearest Higashi-Fukushima Station on the Tozai Line, on the stylish south side of Sonezaki Street. I visited on a weekend night at 9:15 pm, after making a reservation by phone the day before. We ordered the "Assorted 7 Skewers," "Chicken Breast Tataki with Grated Daikon," "Stuffed Shiitake Mushrooms," "Nagaimo (Japanese yam)," and "Today's Tamagokake Gohan (rice with raw egg)." We also had beer and highball. After the complimentary chawanmushi, we started with the refreshing "Chicken Breast Tataki with Grated Daikon," followed by the autumnal "Stuffed Shiitake Mushrooms." The skewers included "Heart," "Chicken Wing Tip," "Chicken Neck," "Negima (chicken and leek skewers)," "Bonjiri (chicken tail)," "Lotus Root," and "Chicken Thigh." The skewers ranged from simple salt and pepper seasoning to creative touches like anchovy, showcasing the chef's skill and innovation. The rice for the final dish takes about 30 minutes, so you need to order it before last call. While waiting for the rice, we added the "Nagaimo," which had a satisfying crunch. The "Today's Tamagokake Gohan" was a luxurious and delicious combination of rice cooked with saury and topped with raw egg. Mix the rice, lightly sprinkle soy sauce, plate it in a bowl, then top it with the crushed egg - and it's ready to eat. With all the food and drinks, it came out to just over 10,000 yen for two people. As always, eating in Osaka is truly the best.

I visited the restaurant after watching my favorite Takarazuka Revue show! The steamed egg custard in eggshell, smoked quail, potato salad, spring rolls with cilantro, and various skewers were not only delicious but also presented in a delightful way. I have never tasted such fluffy chicken breast before. The yakitori restaurant in Fukushima, which felt like a hidden gem, was a pleasant space to enjoy delicious yakitori and discuss the show after watching it.

I finally got a reservation at this always fully booked restaurant and had the chance to visit. The atmosphere and the presentation of the dishes were enjoyable, and I can see why it's so popular. The menu, especially the non-yakitori items, was unique and delicious. The yakitori was also creative and not just about the flavor of the meat, so it might be a matter of personal preference whether you like it or not.

I was curious about a restaurant called "Kokure" that I saw in front of N Mountain Suke in the past. After researching, I found out that it was a restaurant that was difficult to make reservations for. So, I decided to try making a reservation about a month ago. I managed to secure a reservation for 4:00 PM. When I arrived, there were six of us in total. As expected, the best seats for yakitori are at the counter. However, it was quite hot in front of the grill! We had the following dishes: soy-marinated quail eggs for 600 yen, water eggplant and myoga with Genovese sauce for 600 yen, delicious raw chicken cutlet for 850 yen, delicious smoked egg yukhoe for 1100 yen, a set of 7 assorted skewers for 1700 yen, which is always a good choice, and today's egg over rice for 1500 yen, which was delicious. The clientele seemed to be mostly young people! I will definitely visit again!

The taste of the food alone is not enough to determine a restaurant's quality in today's world. The atmosphere and hospitality of the establishment also play a crucial role in its evaluation. Despite the delicious yakitori, if the staff speak softly, lack friendliness, and show no service spirit, it can leave a cold impression regardless of how good the food tastes.

Taste: ★★★★☆ Atmosphere: ★★★★★ Cost performance: ★★★☆☆ Service: ★★★★☆ I made a reservation but had to wait outside the restaurant for about 15 minutes as there was no waiting area. The food was delicious no matter what I tried, and I ended up eating too much. The interior of the restaurant is a bit small but has a nice atmosphere. It's become one of the restaurants I would recommend to my friends.

Located in a narrow alley in Shin-Fukushima, this restaurant called "Kokure" has no signboard, just a small curtain with the name written on it. The staff, consisting of two young men and one woman, work quietly and efficiently without much conversation. When we arrived at 5:00 PM, we were the only customers, but by 6:00 PM, more people started coming in. We ordered a highball and a different brand (I forgot the name) but ended up sticking with the usual highball. The appetizer was a steamed paprika chawanmushi served in an eggshell, which was delicious. The water eggplant and myoga with Genovese sauce was also very tasty, with the fresh eggplant soaked in olive oil and herbs. The chicken breast tataki with grated daikon was tender and moist, with a generous amount of grated daikon on top. We also tried the chef's choice of 5 skewers, which included seared chicken heart with anchovy powder, chicken gizzard with ginger powder, and other skewers with Italian-inspired toppings. We also tried "chouchin," which is the part of the egg yolk before it becomes a yolk, with back liver attached. However, due to ventilation concerns, they did not serve this part and offered other options instead. Overall, the yakitori was very satisfying and delicious.

I was able to make a reservation for 8:30 pm on a Friday! It seems easier to make a reservation for late-night times. The restaurant was always full, and there were customers coming in after 9 pm. The appetizer was a not-too-sweet pudding in an egg carton, which looked Instagram-worthy. The most delicious dish was the heart marinated in Shaoxing wine! The first dish came out quickly, but the skewers took a bit longer. The skewers were grilled carefully and tasted delicious. We opened a bottle of wine and had some sake, so the price per person went up a bit, but if you have about two drinks per person, it could be around 5,000 yen.

Charcoal-grilled chicken restaurant "Kokure" 3-11-13 Fukushima, Fukushima-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture 3 minutes walk from Shin-Fukushima Station Closed on Wednesdays ⭐️ 16:00-24:00 (regular business hours) Counter and table seating available ○ Chef's choice 5 skewers ¥1,300 ○ Egg bruschetta ¥300 ○ Egg over rice ¥700 ○ Soup ¥200~ Osaka Edition Had dinner here in Osaka, plans changed last minute and ended up going here. Lucky to get a reservation at an early opening time. Chosen as one of the top 100 restaurants, stylish and creative yakitori. - Chicken tenderloin with paprika salt - Chicken tenderloin with anchovy powder - Chicken heart with dried ginger - Chicken thigh with smoked Parmesan - Chicken meatball Also ordered chicken tail as an extra. Enjoyed them with sipping red wine. Fluffy meatball, personal favorite was the chicken heart! Unusual not to have liver on the menu, right? Egg over rice is served fresh in a STAUB pot. Pouring the rich egg over rice with soup is the best. Both the staff and customers were on the younger side. #Shin-FukushimaStation #Kokure #Yakitori #GrilledChicken

First of all, it doesn't look like a typical yakitori restaurant, it's very stylish. The interior is made to look like a renovated old folk house, and the staff are all good-looking. The yakitori is served all at once, so you have to wait a bit, but each skewer has a unique twist which makes it fun. However, what was even more delicious than the yakitori was the tamago kake gohan (egg over rice) served at the end. That day, it was cooked with young sweetfish. I ate the first bowl as it was, and then crushed the egg for the second bowl. Crushing the egg makes the egg flavor overpower the sweetfish, so it's better to eat it without the egg at first. The sake selection had more rich options than dry ones, and they were all excellent. They don't have shochu. The only downside is that they only accept cash for a restaurant in this price range.

It is a traditional house style building not far from Fukushima Station. The inside is a bit dim but has a great atmosphere! Perfect for a date. This time, we sat at the counter seats. You can see the food being grilled right in front of you. The yakitori and other dishes were all delicious. The MVP this time was the chicken breast. I tried it once and it was so good that I had to order it again. From the appetizers to the end, I was satisfied with everything. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a delicious yakitori restaurant located in a back alley of Shin-Fukushima. The stylish space has a traditional house feel with high ceilings and a simple design. The complimentary egg dish was interesting (and of course tasty). The lineup of grilled items, from chicken liver to chicken tail, was impressive! Ordering by the number of skewers per person, you need to go with a group of hearty eaters to fully enjoy the experience. Unfortunately, the liver dishes were in short supply when we arrived late. We ordered the egg over rice for a satisfying finish, which took 30 minutes to prepare but was excellent! Thank you for the meal! ⤴️

I went to "Yakitori Kokure" in Osaka last time, so this time I went to its sister restaurant "Charcoal Grilled Yakitori Kokure". To be honest, I think "Kokure" is more delicious and has a better wine selection. However, for everyday use, I have a better impression of "Kokure".

A yakitori restaurant in Fukushima, Osaka!! There are many nice atmosphere restaurants around here!! Inside the restaurant, there were only couples besides us, haha. The grilling of each yakitori skewer is exquisite!! It goes really well with wine. And isn't the price too cheap?? The tamago kake gohan (rice with raw egg) at the end is incredibly delicious. Who would complain when you can eat such delicious food at this price?

First visit to a hidden gem yakitori restaurant in Fukushima. Reservation was almost fully booked so we visited at 4pm. Still full. Ordered the chef's choice skewers and a few other dishes, all of which were creative and delicious, almost like gourmet dishes rather than yakitori. The restaurant seems to pay attention to details and is very enjoyable.

Hello! It's Ramen Walking! Today is Yakitori day~ I went to Charcoal Grilled Chicken Kokure in Fukushima and had some yakitori. It was the second completion ceremony for a project I've been working on for 3 years. Last time, not everyone could attend, so we decided to hold it again and after suggesting a few places, we all agreed on this restaurant. The charming images of yakitori and the hidden gem atmosphere of Fukushima area seemed to have piqued the interest of the participants... We started at 6:30 pm for a 2-hour showdown. When we arrived, the sun had set and it truly felt like a hidden gem (laughs) with lanterns lit up, creating a nice atmosphere. [Order] - Omakase 7 skewers for 1,700 yen - Tamago kake gohan (rice with raw egg) for 1,000 yen - Other drinks, etc. The complimentary dish was the famous chawanmushi in an eggshell. It was a bit whiter and had a firmer texture compared to regular chawanmushi. The broth was soft but delicious. Various chicken skewers were served, each with a different quality but all perfectly grilled. The texture was just right, not too tough or too soft. The seasoning wasn't too strong, but the flavor was good. Everyone agreed that it was delicious! Especially the "chouchin" skewer. It was my first time trying it and when I bit into it, the yolk oozed out and it was delicious. There were rock salt, black pepper, and sansho pepper on the table, so you could season the skewers to your liking. We also ordered Tamago kake gohan, which took about 30 minutes to cook after ordering. It was enough for 2 people, so we ordered an additional serving. When it arrived, the egg was in the chouchin as well. We mixed it well and had the freshly cooked Tamago kake gohan, which was truly a blissful dish. Everyone was very satisfied after finishing the meal. Thank you, Charcoal Grilled Chicken Kokure! Today's step count: 12,612 steps Calories burned: 467 kcal

The atmosphere was outstandingly good, and each dish was carefully prepared and very delicious. We went with a group of frequent diners, so we ordered all the dishes. The drinks were also stylish, and it was the kind of place you'd want to visit again and again. Perfect for a date or special occasion.

I visited a popular yakitori specialty restaurant in the fierce yakitori battleground of Fukushima, Osaka. This place was selected as one of the top 100 yakitori restaurants on Tabelog, and it's also a popular spot for dates with its stylish atmosphere and presentation. I made a reservation for 5:45 PM on a weekday and stayed for about 1 hour and 30 minutes as there were other reservations after mine. The interior had a calm atmosphere. I ordered the popular "omakase" skewers and other menu items. The dishes were served on stylish plates reminiscent of Italian cuisine, making the meal visually appealing as well. When it came to taste, everything was decently delicious. The atmosphere, taste, and price were all above average, making it clear why this place is so popular. I would definitely revisit this stylish restaurant when I crave yakitori. Thank you for the meal.

This shop in the back alley has a fantastic atmosphere! The seasoning of the yakitori is left to the chef, but all of them are of high quality. I recommend the fresh chicken sashimi! It was the best chicken sashimi I've ever had! Although the prices are a bit high, it is perfect for a date with its great atmosphere and delicious taste!

Introducing a shop in the center of Osaka, so be sure to check it out~ https://higachannpoko.com Also, please check out their Instagram! (@channpoko_channpoko) https://www.instagram.com/channpoko_channpoko/ Yakitori tour in the fiercely competitive area of Fukushima. This time, we visited Kokure, which boasts overwhelming popularity among women. With 2 stores in Fukushima and a recently opened new store in Noda, it is very popular. Just a few minutes walk from JR Fukushima Station. The store has red lanterns of yakitori hanging in the alley, creating a stylish atmosphere with dim lighting. The menu includes fresh items like tataki, appetizers, fried foods, yakitori, vegetable skewers, and side dishes, so it's quite comprehensive. Overall, the seasoning is a bit strong, but it's not a big deal for those who drink alcohol. Well, the seasoning that brings out the flavor of the ingredients is delicious, so I recommend it. However, the selection of alcohol is a bit limited. The appetizer is a steamed egg in a pack with an eggshell inside containing the steamed egg. It's elaborate. The taste is rich and intense, delicious but a little goes a long way. We ordered the following: Smoked egg Yukke (1100 yen), Heart soaked in Shaoxing wine (500 yen), Rare chicken cutlet (850 yen), Assorted yakitori 7 skewers (1700 yen), Vegetable skewers with nagaimo and lotus root, Egg over rice (700 yen), Pudding (200 yen). Smoked egg Yukke. The smoked flavor is solid but not overpowering. A rich egg yolk with the aroma of smoked egg on fresh Yukke. It's delicious. Rare chicken cutlet. Lightly breaded and rare, refreshing. Heart soaked in Shaoxing wine. With the flavor of Shaoxing wine and sweet seasoning, it goes well with alcohol. Irresistible to drinkers... Chicken breast. Moist and delicious! The seasoning is excellent. Heart. Dried ginger sprinkled on top. Skin. Lime is drizzled on top. Well-cooked, crispy and juicy, with a sprinkle of anchovy powder. The taste comes out as you chew, a stable deliciousness. It's been a while since I've had it. The visual is great. Cheese is sprinkled on top. It has cartilage inside, which adds a nice accent. The flavor is a bit strong, but it goes well with alcohol. Crush the rich egg and pour it over the rice. That's delicious. Pudding is cheap at 200 yen, about the size of an egg. Smooth pudding with a moderately rich and delicious taste. This is a great value, so be sure to order it! A popular shop indeed. It's understandable why it's popular among women, and the taste is undeniably delicious. Overall, the seasoning seemed a bit strong, but it could be a good accompaniment for those who drink alcohol. Reservations are a must on weekends, so make your reservation early~ Thank you for the meal~
