Famous, long-established sushi restaurant in a town. Visited after more than a decade. Spacious counter with depth, suitable for large parties. Surprisingly, they have Wi-Fi. The building feels clean and well-maintained despite its age. There is a live fish tank, visible from some seats. Lunch options are around 1,000 yen, all with photos for easy ordering. They also offer a discounted evening menu from 7-9pm, including miso soup and chawanmushi. The sushi is delicious and consistent. The chirashi bowl for 930 yen may have less fish, so opting for nigiri might be better for more toppings. Good value for the taste and portion. Note that they do not accept cards during lunch hours. Overall, it's a nice place to enjoy quality, affordable sushi in a clean and relaxed setting.

I made a reservation on Tabelog and it was convenient to be able to use T-points. The "Nama Chirashi Tsukihana" for 1,450 yen (tax included) with miso soup was just average. The chirasu sashimi and sushi rice were typical. The chawanmushi that was supposed to come with the Tabelog coupon I registered at the time of reservation did not appear, so I had to mention it again. The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained, but the way the male staff spoke seemed a bit harsh, which made me feel uncomfortable personally.

I went out for a drive to test the new Prius and arrived at the restaurant around lunchtime. It was quiet as it was a weekday afternoon. I ordered the set menu. I feel like I want to come back again for something unique next time. It's close to my brother's house so I will visit again, but next time I want to try something of my choice.

Sushi Ten Set A for 1,200 yen (tax included) is available as a time service menu (from 11:30 to 14:00 for lunch and 19:00 to 21:00 for dinner). The set includes eight pieces of nigiri sushi with tuna, salmon, and shrimp. It also comes with two shrimp tempura and other tempura items like squid, green pepper, and eggplant. Additionally, it includes chawanmushi and miso soup. This lunch on a holiday (July 5th) was a great value and a bit of a luxurious treat, thanks to my wife's nationwide sushi voucher.

I felt like having affordable sushi for lunch, so I visited this place. There is parking available both in front of the store and a little further away, so it seems fine even during lunchtime. I ordered the lunch tempura set B from the menu. The tempura, typical of a sushi restaurant, was delicious. The sushi included 4 rolls and 6 pieces, along with chawanmushi and miso soup, so I was full and satisfied. Next time, I'll try the eel. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I felt like eating sushi so I visited Seisushi. I usually go for chirashi sushi, but today I opted for nigiri sushi. I chose the B lunch set for 1150 yen and asked for larger portions of rice, which left me very satisfied. The sushi rice at this restaurant is delicious, and I believe that the quality and quantity for this price is a great deal. Thank you for the meal.

I thought I could only choose from the lunch menu since only the lunch menu was on the table. I later found out that there was also a grand menu option when the server asked the other customers. I didn't like the rolled sushi-like dish with non-fish ingredients, and they didn't have uni, ikura, or crab. It might be cost-effective for some people, but personally, I didn't enjoy the items that were included, so the cost-effectiveness wasn't great for me. By the way, the other customers ordered the "Makoto" course for 3,400 yen (according to Tabelog). It was all nigiri sushi, and they had uni, ikura, and crab. That would have been more to my liking.

Overall, the service tends to be slow with occasional forgetfulness. There's only one other group of customers. I would like to see seasonal dishes on the menu! The sashimi was delicious, but the side dishes were just okay. The sushi had small, fluffy rice that held together well. The sushi was tasty, but I wonder how it will be next time?

A sushi restaurant with a great atmosphere and delicious, flavorful sushi. The lunchtime special is very cost-effective, even cheaper than conveyor belt sushi, and you can enjoy high-quality sushi. I ordered the tempura set this time, and for only 1200 yen, it was a steal. The chawanmushi and soup were also very elegant...! The fact that you can also enjoy dinner at this price is appealing. It's so close to home, I might end up going there all the time!!

I went to a long-established sushi restaurant in Shiraishi Ward. I accepted my brother's invitation and had lunch here. The lunch menu was abundant and reasonably priced, so I was unsure of what to choose, but I decided on the sushi and tempura set. The buckwheat soba was unexpectedly delicious. Both the sushi and tempura were of high quality and I was satisfied with my lunch.

Today I had sushi for the first time in a while and I ordered a large chirashi bowl. Lunch at a sushi restaurant is always great, with fresh ingredients and delicious rice. The chawanmushi and miso soup were also good. The restaurant even has a parking lot in front, which is very convenient. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also great. Thank you for the meal.

Arrived at the restaurant just after it opened on Sunday at 11:30 am. Reservation for 2 people. We were the first ones there, and more people arrived soon after. Located on a side street off Hongo Street, on the south side. Established in 1965, it is a well-known restaurant with over 50 years of history. There used to be another branch downstream a few years ago. With our bonuses in hand, my mother and I decided to treat ourselves to some high-quality sushi. There were 2 sushi chefs and 3 staff members in the dining area. We had reserved a private room on the 2nd floor of the old building, which had a slightly steep staircase. The room had tatami flooring and a table seating arrangement. It was a cold day, so we turned on the air conditioning. We both ordered the "Custom 10-piece Set" (5500 yen) each. We had to write down our sushi preferences on a piece of paper, as there was no menu available. I chose Uni x2, Tuna, Salmon x2, Ikura, Tsubu, Scallop, Prawn, Abalone, while my mother chose Uni x2, Tuna x2, Ikura, Kanpachi, Scallop, Surf Clam, Abalone. Each type of sushi was served in pairs. The Uni was sweet, the Salmon was tender with just the right amount of fat, and the Ikura had a satisfying popping texture. The Tsubu and Abalone were chewy, and the Prawn was firm. My mother had miso soup, which had a nice touch of sea bream. We also ordered a steamed egg custard as a service with a coupon, which was delicious but in a small portion. Overall, we were very satisfied with the delicious sushi. Although conveyor belt sushi restaurants may have fresh ingredients, the hand-rolled sushi here had a different level of craftsmanship. There was a signed photo of a koi at our private table, indicating a connection to a charity event. We forgot to use our points for payment, as the system requires customers to take responsibility for such matters. We will definitely visit again!

I stumbled upon this restaurant while searching on Tabelog, and it brought back nostalgic memories. Thirty years ago, I was still a student and used to hang out in the area, drinking at places like Murasaku, Jumbo Yakitori, and the now-gone Ochan Ramen. Back then, this Sushi restaurant, Seisushi, seemed upscale and I thought to myself, "I'll come here when I become an adult." The atmosphere inside is like a traditional sushi restaurant from the Showa and Heisei era, and it feels quite calming now. Looking at the lunch menu, it seems like they are really trying hard and the prices are very affordable. I tried the Sushi Ten Set A for 1,150 yen. The staff seemed busy and the chef looked a bit tired, but they were all working hard. It took over 20 minutes for the food to be served, with the head chef helping out in the kitchen. The sushi had a classic Showa vibe, a bit rough around the edges, but the freshness of the fish, especially the tuna, was good. The rice was properly seasoned with vinegar. The tempura had a crispy batter with a bit lacking in filling. The chawanmushi had a strong dashi flavor and was slightly sweet. The salmon soup was also homemade and flavorful. Despite feeling a bit outdated, the nostalgic sushi set was worth the price. The clientele seemed to be mostly in their 70s, reminiscing about the past. Among them, there was a sophisticated elderly lady in a kimono, who seemed to be around 90 years old, enjoying sushi and sake gracefully. It's wonderful to see people enjoying good food and drinks regardless of age.

Today is November 23, Labor Thanksgiving Day. I treated myself to sushi as a reward for my hard work. This restaurant offers lunch even on weekends and holidays, which is very convenient. Since today is Labor Thanksgiving Day, I had the chef prepare a 1.5 person portion of premium nigiri sushi, which consisted of 15 pieces. It was amazing.

- Custom 10-piece sushi set for 4,400 yen (tax included). You can choose 10 pieces of your favorite sushi (up to 2 pieces of the same kind). The rice is slightly larger and well-seasoned with sushi vinegar. Each piece of sushi tasted fresh and the flavors of each ingredient spread in the mouth. My personal favorites were the shako (mantis shrimp) and anago (sea eel). The shako had a rich umami flavor that intensified with each bite, while the anago melted perfectly in the mouth. Being able to choose your favorite sushi makes the experience even more satisfying. The set also came with salmon miso soup. - Tempura 7-piece assortment for 1,380 yen per plate (tax included). The plate includes 2 shrimp, crab leg, salmon, sandfish, shiitake mushroom, and green pepper. Served with tempura dipping sauce, grated daikon radish, and ginger. I chose 1 shrimp, crab leg, salmon, and green pepper. The juicy and crispy texture of the crab and salmon was exceptional. Despite being a historic sushi restaurant, the atmosphere during lunchtime was not intimidating.

2022/08/27 Revisited. Today, I came to Minamigo Shopping Street in Shiroishi Ward for some errands. During lunchtime on a Saturday, I was contemplating where to eat and then remembered Sei Sushi. So, I decided to visit Sei Sushi main store. I sat at the long counter and looked at the lunch menu. I ordered the Sushi and Tempura Set A. Sushi Tempura Set A costs 1,100 yen (comes with chawanmushi and miso soup). The set includes 8 pieces of sushi: salmon, squid, tuna, octopus, white fish, flying fish roe, and egg. They were all delicious. Especially the perfect fattiness of the salmon, the firm texture and sweetness of the shrimp, and the deliciousness of the tuna stood out. The tempura consisted of 2 shrimp, squid, green pepper, and eggplant. They were freshly fried, crispy, and had a nice texture. The shrimp was particularly delicious. The chawanmushi was smooth and not too sweet, which was tasty. The miso soup had an elegant flavor. For 1,100 yen, you get 8 pieces of sushi, 5 tempura items, chawanmushi, and miso soup, which is a reasonable price. It was a great meal. I will definitely come back.

Unfortunately. The sushi and tempura are delicious and reasonably priced for lunch, but I had doubts about whether the sushi was properly made because it was so fragile and fell apart when picked up with chopsticks. Also, as I passed by the counter on my way out, the sushi chef didn't greet me even though our eyes met. It would be nice if there was a simple "thank you" to make the experience more pleasant. (One out of the three sushi chefs did greet us, which is important.) It's also disappointing that they don't accept cards during lunchtime. I might not go back again. Thank you for the meal.

I went to a long-established sushi restaurant. It was my first time having lunch there, and the variety of sushi was impressive as expected from a longstanding restaurant! I ordered a raw fish bowl. The ingredients were fresh and very delicious. Sushi restaurant lunches really have a different quality of rice. They also have a parking lot, so I would like to visit this place again when I'm in the area. Thank you for the meal.

It's a place review. White stone district is located between Hongo-dori shopping street and Minamigo-dori street in Hongo-dori 9-chome, but for detailed location, as always, please check the map on Tabelog. This time, we visited a long-established sushi restaurant in White Stone based on the request to go to a sushi restaurant that doesn't have a conveyor belt. Upon arrival at the restaurant, we parked our car in the front parking lot and entered the restaurant. We were guided to the private room for four people that we had reserved over the phone, and sat at a table in a Japanese-style room. First, we looked at the drink menu and ordered a "medium-sized beer." Then, we looked at the sushi menu and ordered the "Makoto" which is the name of the restaurant. We waited for the order to arrive. First, after about 5-6 minutes, the medium-sized beer and appetizer were served. However, the appetizer was not the usual sushi restaurant appetizer, but a delicious simmered dish with chicken as the main ingredient. Then, the main sushi arrived after more than 25 minutes since ordering, which was surprising. We also ordered sake, a Japanese sake called "Kojiya Junmai Ginjo." As for the sushi, we received 10 pieces of nigiri sushi with a miso soup that had a shrimp head in it. The taste was okay, similar to the sushi at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant that we usually go to, but what caught our attention was the serving time. This time, we had sushi at a non-conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but if you want to eat sushi with your family, it's better to order and eat at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant.

I visited this place for the second time this summer, it's a traditional sushi restaurant with a branch in Shakotan as well. I tried their barley shochu on the rocks and had their delicious mackerel and pickled herring. The customers' kids were playing hide and seek, it was cute. The simmered chicken was tasty and the mackerel had a good amount of fat, perfect for a finish. The flavors of salt and vinegar were well balanced, showing the expertise of this longstanding establishment. The pickled herring was also delicious, and I even got to try some octopus. I was craving hot pot, so I ordered their famous Makanai hot pot. It had salmon, cod, shrimp, oysters, and chicken with a hint of ginger, warming me up nicely. I finished with a satisfying porridge. I also couldn't resist ordering some sushi, which was full of flavor and top-notch quality. The horsehair crab was plump and sweet, the amberjack and mackerel were excellent, and the shrimp and mantis shrimp were satisfying.

I was aiming to visit when on a business trip to Sapporo. I arrived earlier than the 11:30 am opening time and waited in the parking lot in front of the store. As soon as the store opened, I sat at the counter and ordered the B lunch set for 1,050 yen. Two chefs skillfully made sushi, and more customers started to come in.
