After working around the clock tower, I went to lunch. The restaurant was located in the basement of a building, but I was surprised by the atmosphere inside! There were raised seating areas and small bridges, creating a space that didn't feel like a basement at all. Even though I've been to Sapporo many times, there are still places I don't know about. I ordered the pork cutlet from the lychee menu. It was supposed to be a local food from Kushiro, Hokkaido. Whenever I come to Sapporo, I always want to try Hokkaido food, but it usually ends up being seafood or Genghis Khan, so I rarely come across Kushiro's local food. When I saw it on the lunch menu, I immediately decided to order it. The taste was like a meat sauce spaghetti sandwiched between a pork cutlet. It was a very indulgent dish...but that's okay (laughs). The portion was generous and the taste was satisfying, making it a fulfilling lunch.

Marumiya - Located in the STV North 2 Building, 1st floor on the south side. There is only one shop downstairs when you go down the stairs. There are many seats, so you can get in quickly and it's convenient. I occasionally use it. I ordered the Pork Cutlet Curry for 1,300 yen. You can enjoy the famous Kushiro pork cutlet, but this time I chose the Pork Cutlet Curry. It's hard to tell from the picture, but the iron pot is piping hot! The sizzling sound stimulates your appetite. The curry is not spicy, more like curry sauce than a roux. There is not much spice, so I think even children can eat it.

Located near Sapporo City Hall, this underground restaurant offers lunch service with daily specials. On this day, the special was sauce katsu-don, a unique menu item. The interior is stylish and suitable for gatherings like parties or girls' night out. The daily lunch special comes with miso soup and salad, and coffee is self-serve. The sauce katsu-don is surprisingly delicious, with thick and satisfying katsu. It's not greasy and has a good flavor. The lunch service seems like it could become more popular. I would like to visit on a different day as well.

I visited this restaurant during a business trip for lunch. The atmosphere was stylish and very clean. They offer Hokkaido specialties for lunch, and this time I tried the Obihiro pork bowl. It was delicious with a sweet and savory flavor. There were also many other menu options that I would like to try.

This is a izakaya restaurant for lunch. It is located in a convenient location in downtown Sapporo, suitable for both day and night visits. The restaurant is spacious, but the tables are not too far apart. They offer a variety of lunch options, including daily specials. Self-service coffee is also available. The lunch prices are not particularly cheap, and there is not much of a sense of value, but it is a convenient place to dine.

Today's lunch was pork bowl! It was my first time at this restaurant, and they offer various local specialties from Hokkaido for lunch. I had a hard time deciding, but I finally made a choice (lol). The free extra rice was a nice service. I feel like I want to come back and try more dishes, including dinner. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Fried chicken with salsa sauce - The fried chicken came with a Mexican-style salsa sauce on top, which was a bit unexpected as I was imagining (hoping for) a dipping sauce. However, the flavor was good and paired well with the fried chicken. The chicken was crispy and had a nice texture, and it seemed like it was freshly fried, which was great. If the chicken pieces were smaller and bite-sized, it would have been even better. The portion of rice was customizable, and I opted for a smaller portion due to watching my carb intake. The miso soup was also served in accordance with the rice portion, which was a bit on the smaller side. Overall, the taste of the rice, miso soup, and side dishes was good, and my stomach felt satisfied. I would definitely consider coming back again.

Today's lunch is the daily special. It was fried fish with tartar sauce. The lunch was served quickly. Wow, the fish is huge! Can I even fit a bite in my mouth? It's so big. The tartar sauce is delicious, but I feel guilty... Finished it all, thank you for the meal.

Lunch today was before 12 o'clock so they had a daily special. It was some kind of grilled chicken dish... I'm sorry I don't remember the exact menu, but the highlight today was the marinated onions and salmon(?) in soy sauce. It was delicious and went well with the rice. The fact that it came with a complimentary coffee for 800 yen was much appreciated. Thank you for the meal.

For today's lunch, I'll have the Katsutoji set meal. It costs 850 yen. The Katsutoji is very filling, and the side dish is Kinpira gobou. It's the same every time. I'll also have miso soup and pickles, with extra rice. The Katsutoji goes well with the rice, and the Mitsuba adds a nice touch. Unfortunately, the rice doesn't taste as good as before. Maybe it's just a one-time thing.

Lunch, the return match of love. No, it's a reevaluation of white rice. Today, I had the meat dumpling set meal that was really delicious when I had it before. I asked for extra rice. It was a little past 1 pm on a weekday, but the restaurant was almost full, so I had to wait a bit and was seated at the counter. Let's start with a complimentary coffee. The meat dumplings are quite big, flavorful and juicy even without any sauce, making the rice go down smoothly. This is just my personal opinion, but I feel like the rice wasn't as tasty as it was last month... I used to think the rice was even better... Despite complaining about the rice, I managed to finish the large portion of rice. Thank you for the meal.

Today's lunch, I wanted to eat something nearby. The daily special was sold out, so I ordered the Zangi set meal for 800 yen. It arrived faster than I expected. The miso soup was lukewarm and disappointing. The Zangi was burnt and too hard to eat. The rice was also not good, which was unusual. I tried getting a second serving of rice, but it was still bad. Very disappointing experience.

Lunch time! What should I eat today? Sashimi set meal? As I was being seated at a table, I suddenly saw shumai on the menu! After carefully looking through the menu, I decided on the shumai set meal for 850 yen. It came with salad, spaghetti salad, and five large shumai. The side dish was kinpira gobou. The rice was delicious today! I enjoyed every bite. By the way, refills are allowed. The shumai was delicious! It tasted great with or without sauce. The kinpira was also cooked to my liking, slightly soft. I am satisfied and full once again today. Thank you for the meal.

Lunch time! Oh, the menu has expanded? I'm happy to see more options. I was originally thinking of getting the pork bowl, but I changed my mind after seeing the menu. I'll have today's fish set meal, which includes deep-fried Pacific saury with a soft-boiled egg on top. I'll also have extra rice, with free refills. The deep-fried saury comes with a generous amount of cabbage salad and tartar sauce, about six pieces? The saury pieces are on the smaller side, but they taste great with the sweet sauce and extra tartar sauce. I don't feel guilty about indulging during lunchtime. The side dish is a small portion of kinpira burdock root and one piece of simmered thick-fried tofu. I finish my meal by pouring the soft-boiled egg over the rice. Afterward, I enjoy a cup of coffee while relaxing on the comfortable sofa seat, now that the Wi-Fi is working. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Today, I had an errand in town early in the day so I searched on "Tabelog" for a lunch spot and found this restaurant, "Maru Umiya Hanare". The review was posted on 20/09/15 with a rating of 3.29. Upon further research, I found out that this restaurant is a chain with another one I visited yesterday, "Sakanayoi Namarayoshi". Both places had friendly and efficient staff, suggesting a good working environment provided by the company. I think Kenneth should learn from this and create a comfortable working environment for the staff as well. As I descended the stairs while gazing at the sign for pork bowl at the entrance, I was greeted by a wide staircase that had a calming and luxurious feel. The interior of the restaurant was stylish and surprisingly spacious, creating a lovely atmosphere. When I was seated and given the menu, the staff recommended the Taiwan-style mixed noodles, but I opted for the pork ginger stir-fry set for 850 yen and the pork cutlet curry for 950 yen. I wonder if the coffee is free-flowing? It seems like a good deal. I enjoyed my meal and headed to my next appointment. Thank you for the delicious meal, Maru Umiya Hanare! I will definitely visit again!

I visited this restaurant for the first time because I was intrigued by the pork bowl on the lunch menu. During lunchtime, I was seated comfortably at a table for six people. It was around 1:00 PM and the restaurant was almost full. Many people were eating the limited-time mixed noodles. The food was served in about 10 minutes. There were gaps in the bowl, so you could see the rice, but the portion size was sufficient. I could taste the smokiness from the charcoal. On top of the salad, there was spaghetti. The miso soup was lukewarm. It was a nice service to have unlimited coffee. However, the communication environment was weak. SoftBank users had no signal, and there was no WiFi information on the table. I found the WiFi password and information at the cash register when I was paying, which was a bit inconvenient. Without WiFi, I couldn't even use PayPay. Despite these points, the food was delicious.

I was told by a colleague who loves spicy food that they are serving Taiwan Mazesoba at a restaurant called Kashinfu. I'm planning to go there soon. The menu item is priced at 850 yen. You can add vinegar and chili oil to your liking. First, I tried it as it is. The sweet and spicy sauce mixed well with finely chopped chives. The noodles were chewy and delicious. Next, I enjoyed the creamy yolk and then added the chili oil for a moderate spiciness. After that, I changed the flavor by adding vinegar. Lastly, I finished by mixing in the remaining ingredients with rice. It was fun and delicious. Now I really want to visit Kashinfu.

Lunch time! I used a ticket to come here and decided to try the daily special, which is pork bowl today. I debated whether to add extra meat but ended up getting the regular portion. The pork bowl doesn't look the best but it has a decent amount of meat. I sprinkled some sansho pepper on top, but I prefer white pepper. Maybe I'll ask for it next time. The cabbage salad is cold and crunchy, very delicious. The miso soup has swirl-shaped wheat gluten, which I like. The pork in the bowl sometimes has chewy parts, but I enjoy the flavor and the rice goes down easily. I also got a complimentary coffee after the meal, feeling satisfied. Alright, it's time to get back to work. Thank you for the meal.

Today, what will you eat? I feel like having something other than meat because yesterday I had multiple servings of roast beef at Bancho Sarayashiki. Today's special is seafood chirashi, yay! The dish has arrived - with a side of kinpira gobo, miso soup with swirling wheat gluten, and pickled vegetables. The chirashi sushi is topped with octopus, salmon, white fish, red fish, ikura, tamago, daikon sprouts, and cucumber, all on a bed of white rice with sliced nori. I recently realized that I actually prefer chirashi sushi with assorted cuts of fish, rather than neatly arranged slices. And if it's vinegared rice, even better. I also enjoyed a coffee after the meal, all for 800 yen. What a treat, it was delicious.

Kushiro Spa Katsu for 980 yen. Comes out sizzling hot on a hot plate, so watch out for mouth burns! The Spa Katsu in Kushiro doesn't come with salad or miso soup, so it's a good deal. But miso soup doesn't really go well with Spa Katsu. The tonkatsu was tough and dry, but the heat and the pork made my mouth water. It was delicious though! The pork bowl is also recommended, you can smell it cooking from the grill. Marumiya - the sign says Melying Pot, the previous name of the restaurant, haha.
