On Saturday night, I was looking for a good bowl of ramen to end the day, and decided to visit this restaurant recommended by some of my followers. There were 2 groups ahead of me, but I was seated after a short wait of about 10 minutes. The restaurant only had a counter with 6 seats, so it might be a bit challenging for larger groups. The system seemed to be purchasing the meal ticket from a machine before lining up, although it's also okay to line up first without buying. I tried the "R&B" ramen, which had a double soup base of duck and seafood. The duck's sweetness and the seafood broth's umami created a flavorful Japanese-style base. The soy sauce seasoning added depth and richness to the broth, balancing out the lightness of the Japanese-style broth. The caramelized onions topping enhanced the aroma and depth of flavor. The occasional hint of yuzu peel provided a refreshing touch without overwhelming the taste. The noodles were smooth and flat, with a perfect texture and wheat flavor that complemented the soup well. The chashu included both pork and duck, with the duck thinly sliced to maintain tenderness. Overall, it was a highly satisfying bowl of ramen, and I would love to try their other options in the future. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Foodlog overall rating 3.64 Visit date: Friday, September 22, 2023, 7:55 PM Order: - Hip Hop (Duck Shoyu Ramen) 890 yen + Noodle Upsize 100 yen - Taste Egg Punk (Clam Ramen) 990 yen The restaurant is located in the bustling Triangle Park area, with a stylish exterior and interior. Despite the rain, there was one customer waiting outside when we arrived, and we waited for about 20 minutes before getting seated. Hip Hop (Duck Shoyu Ramen): The noodles were medium-thick and straight, with a good chewiness that I liked, but my wife found them a bit too firm. The soup had a light flavor, but the duck taste was not very noticeable, and the overall impression of the soy sauce-based ramen was a bit weak. Taste Egg Punk (Clam Ramen): Similar noodles as above. The soup had a hint of clam flavor, but overall it was also a bit too light and lacked a strong taste. On the service side, the staff was very polite and attentive, maintaining a pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant.

First visit ◼️ Wait time Visited around 2:30 PM, waited with 3 people. However, the turnover was fast and we were inside within 10 minutes. Ordered the Hip Hop (light duck soba) + large serving for ¥990. The combination of Kyoto duck, chicken broth, and special soy sauce was enhanced by the citrus peel inside, making it a key element, allowing us to enjoy the aroma until the last bite. There are also other interesting menu items such as R&B (duck and seafood soba) and Punk (clam soba) among others. Thank you for the meal!

About 4 years ago, a ramen shop suddenly appeared in the basement of a building in Amerikamura and became a hot topic. It is still a popular ramen shop. I revisited on a Monday holiday around 8 pm. Luckily, there were no customers when I arrived, but by the time I left, the place was full. It was my second visit in a few years. The menu features ramen with names inspired by music genres such as HIP&HOP, R&B, PUNK, JAZZ, and REGGAE. As a fan of HIP&HOP, I ordered the Special Hip Hop (Duck Soy Sauce Ramen) for 1190 yen. The noodles are straight and flat, with a chewy texture and a rich wheat flavor. The toppings include thick slices of pork shoulder chashu, duck chashu, white and green onions, charred onions, and seasoned egg. The Duck Soy Sauce Ramen has a light yet flavorful broth with the richness of duck and pork chashu, and a refreshing finish. The charred onions add a nice smoky touch, and the hint of yuzu at the end brings a well-balanced flavor to the bowl.

Hello, it's RamenWalking! Today, I visited "Men ni Hikari" in Shinsaibashi and tried their "R&B" ramen. This shop specializes in duck-based ramen and is a candidate for the top 100 ramen shops. The soup is made with domestic brand duck, chicken bones, kelp, and bonito flakes, creating a rich double soup with a slightly stronger soy sauce flavor than usual chicken broth. The soup is complemented by burnt garlic and citrus peel toppings. The noodles are firm and chewy, resembling flat pasta, with a good texture. The toppings include thick slices of duck chashu, bamboo shoots, green onions, and a delicious soft-boiled egg. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Thank you, Men ni Hikari!

On my fourth visit, I arrived close to the 11:30 opening time and there were already three groups waiting. I was seated in the first round. This time, I ordered miso ramen. I took a sip of the soup and noticed that it didn't have much miso flavor. I wondered what kind of ramen it was. The noodles were like flat fettuccine. The toppings included two thin slices of chashu, four small blocks, menma, and thinly sliced green onions. As I ate, I realized that miso was settled at the bottom of the bowl. When I scooped up and drank the soup from the bottom, I could taste a bit of miso. This shop is still recommended for its duck and seafood ramen.

I was looking for a ramen shop in Namba and decided to visit this one that caught my eye for the first time. I ordered the classic HIP HOP duck soba and chashu rice bowl. The soup was light, the noodles were chewy and very delicious. The duck broth soy-based soup was also amazing! I would love to go back again. ✨

I finally got to visit "Men ni Hikari wo" as I had been wanting to for a while. The interior of the restaurant, with only about six seats, was very well-maintained and left a good impression. I tried the classic Hip Hop (light duck soba) and it was delicious. The refined duck broth had depth, and the noodles were elegantly and powerfully paired with it. The recommended dish was truly satisfying and I can see why. #Men ni Hikari wo #Osaka ramen #Namba ramen #Want to connect with ramen lovers #Ramen Instagrammer

Duck soba. I chose the special HIP HOP. The flavor of yuzu and charred green onions is really delicious. Of course, the toppings are also delicious. It was my first time trying duck broth in ramen, and it was light but flavorful. I finished the whole soup, it was so good. I want to eat it again. The person who first charred the green onions and thought to use them in a dish is a genius, the charred green onions were delicious.

Head to "Men ni Hikari" in Chuo Ward, Osaka City. It is located in a building about 350m southeast from the southern end of Yotsubashi Station on the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line, Exit 5. Nearby coin parking costs 300 yen for 30 minutes. As it is a shop in Amerikamura, there are many young customers. On a rainy Friday evening around 7:30 pm, there were 5 people waiting outside. Buy a meal ticket inside the shop before lining up. The music genres listed above the menu names seem to be related to the taste of the ramen. I chose the "R&B Duck and Seafood Soba" for 950 yen. After waiting outside for about 20 minutes, I finally entered the shop. The trendy space has a straight counter with 6 seats and jazz music playing at a moderate volume. The black pepper is the only table seasoning available. The duck and seafood soup is rich and flavorful, without an overpowering gamey taste. The burnt leeks add a nice aroma and color to the soy sauce base. The noodles are a flat type between linguine and fettuccine in size, with a smooth slurping texture and a delicate wheat flavor. Toppings include tender duck breast, moist thinly sliced pork shoulder, slightly tangy bamboo shoots, burnt leeks, white leeks, and creatively arranged green onions. As you eat, you may find a pleasant surprise of yuzu fragments at the bottom of the bowl. Overall, it was a delightful meal!

Delicious ramen that is purely tasty. However, there are many similar ramen places nowadays, so it's hard to evaluate. The taste is gentle on the stomach, so you won't get tired of it no matter how many times you eat it. Be prepared to wait in line as the seating is limited. A popular ramen shop near America-mura in Osaka. There is often a long line both during the day and at night. The interior of the shop consists only of a counter, and it is clean and well-maintained. I ordered the R&B ramen with egg and chashu rice. The soup has a refined and delicate flavor, with a beautiful harmony of animal and seafood broth that is rich and delicious. The noodles are medium-thick, flat noodles that are smooth and have a good texture, lifting up the soup well. The boiled egg was perfectly cooked and had a delicious flavor. The chashu could use some improvement. The fried green onions added a nice touch and made the whole meal enjoyable until the end. The chashu rice was also delicious and fragrant.

This is a restaurant located in America-mura. I tried their special duck and seafood soba. I could really feel their attention to detail in the toppings and soup! The green onions were not spicy but very delicious, the chashu was tender and amazing, and the flavored egg was a delight. As always, I love the bamboo shoot menma. The soup was shining and when you take a bite, you can immediately smell the bonito, followed by the seafood flavor and the richness of soy sauce. It's truly a blissful experience. Thanks to the flavored egg, chashu, and green onions, I was able to enjoy both versions with and without burnt onions. I heard that duck meat and shellfish broth are good for the body, so I finished every drop.

This place was so delicious that I can't forget it! When I visited Osaka, I went in search of popular ramen. Two of us, both women, went and we both finished all the soup. The noodles and toppings were delicious, but I think the soup was especially outstanding. You may want to bring a parasol on hot days because you may have to wait in line for over 30 minutes.

At Men ni Hikari in Yotsubashi, the special hip-hop (special duck soba) ramen is named in a very Kansai-like manner. The slightly sweet and rich soup brings out the deliciousness of the duck, making it extremely delicious. The silky noodles have an exquisite texture. With a good rhythm, you'll finish it in no time.

I came across the number one store of "Men ni Hikari wo" in Namba and Fukushima, and I heard that it is located in the Shinsaibashi/Yotsubashi area, so I made a reservation! I couldn't go for lunch, so after work, I decided to visit with my boss who is interested in delicious meals. Despite the rain and being 10 minutes before the last order, there was a surprising 8-person wait! Also, the R&B that I wanted to order was sold out! What a pity. It's a very popular restaurant. After waiting for about 15 minutes, we finally entered. We had the "Tokusei Panku"! It had a powerful combination of low-temperature cooked pork shoulder chashu, seasoned egg, asparagus bamboo shoots, green onions, parsley, clam, butter, and it was very voluminous. The soup, which is made by carefully extracting the essence from the clam, combined with Kyoto duck soup, was incredibly delicious from the first bite! The flavor of the clam was wonderful, and the butter's aroma was an accent, while the medium-thick noodles were smooth and chewy. The pork shoulder chashu was tender and voluminous! The seasoned egg was different from its appearance, with a light and creamy yolk richness that stood out. The soup may have been less than expected, or maybe it was just too delicious, and we were eating faster than usual, haha. The taste was so much to my liking that I wondered where this restaurant was from. From the menu name, I thought it might be a branch of the "Jinrui Minamenrui" series, but when I looked it up later, I was surprised to find out that it is related to "NAKAGAWA WAZU"! It brought back memories of the past when I was strangely addicted to shops like Ennosuke Shoten and This is Nakagawa, and I went there several times. I definitely want to try other menu items here too!

I felt like having late-night ramen, so I looked up the nearest place and found a nice one, so I decided to stop by. The atmosphere was great, with jazz music playing and the menu themed around music. The ramen looked really good - visually appealing and refreshing with a soy sauce flavor. The chashu, made with high-quality "Kyoto duck" brand, was tender and light. The chashu rice bowl was delicious, with grilled chicken and plenty of sauce. Just a heads up, they serve soba noodles instead of ramen as stated on the menu, so be careful. There are only 6 counter seats, so if there are customers waiting, please make sure to leave promptly. Thank you for the meal!

Duck and fish broth soba (R&B) for 950 yen. The duck meat was tender and delicious, and the soup was elegant and tasty. At first, I thought it was just a regular Chinese soba, but before I knew it, I had finished all the soup. In the end, I realized that delicious food is like this. It's a bit away from the bustling area, but I will definitely visit again when I'm nearby. Thank you for the meal.

Arrived at 11:00 on Sunday with 3 customers already there, more customers arriving one after another. Checked out the restaurant on Tabelog and found out that the R&B ramen is very popular. Ordered and the ramen was served quickly. Took a sip of the soup, the harmony of duck and seafood was carefully crafted. The owner's sense of taste is impressive, considering their appearance. It's rare to find a ramen shop this delicious with soy sauce ramen.

It's recommended to go right before closing time since there's always a line. I've tried all the flavors, but the HIPHOP one is still the best. I've also tried other shops in the same chain, but I feel like this one is the best. The counter service can be slow sometimes. Limited edition flavors tend to sell out quickly during the day.
