This time, I visited "Dakishime Tai" in Osaka Higobashi. This restaurant is part of the French Ramen series, where you can taste the skills of a French chef who has honed his craft for 14 years through ramen. It's one of the popular French ramen shops in Osaka, and the seats were almost filled within about 10 minutes of opening. We ordered the Tai Tantanmen 1 Mild for 900 yen, Tai Tantanmen 2 Spicy for 910 yen, Aedama (seasoned egg) for 350 yen, and Tai Meshi (Tai rice) for 300 yen. The spiciness of the Tai Tantanmen ranges from 0 to extremely spicy in 5 levels. The 1 Mild is a normal level with a slight kick of spiciness, allowing you to enjoy the Tai broth in a slightly tangy Tantanmen. The 2 Spicy also has the Tai broth flavor but with a bit more heat, so if you want to enjoy the Tantanmen, it's recommended to start with 1 Mild and then try 2 Spicy on your next visit. The Aedama has a tomato-based seasoning and is delicious on its own or with added soup. The Tai Meshi can be enjoyed as is, with soup poured over it like a risotto, and finally topped with the Tai broth from the table, allowing you to enjoy it in 3 different ways without getting tired of it. The Tai broth at the end is especially delicious. It's truly a luxurious experience.

I wanted to eat sashimi and rice topped with sea bream, but the restaurant I was aiming for had quite a long wait. So, I decided to visit a sea bream ramen specialty shop called Dakishimetai-san for the second time. I arrived at exactly 12 o'clock and was the third person in line outside. I bought a lunch set with soup for 1100 yen from the ticket machine and ordered it with maximum spiciness. After waiting for about 5 minutes, I entered the shop and my food was served in another 5 minutes. First, the soup had a sesame flavor with a hint of sea bream and a strong kick of spiciness. It was delicious in its own way. I think to truly taste the sea bream, it's better to go easy on the spiciness. The rare chashu was also delicious. The sea bream rice had a strong sea bream flavor and was tasty. Lastly, being able to pour sea bream broth over it was a nice touch. All this for 1100 yen was great value for money. I finished every last drop of the soup. Thank you for the meal.

Today's lunch was a special dish called "Hug Taimen" without Taimen broth (¥900). It consisted of thick noodles, crispy watercress, onions, carrots, rich meat miso, two types of chashu (pork slices), Munerea and thinly sliced, which all looked very appetizing. The dish was full of ingredients and very filling. Mix it all together well to enjoy various textures. You can feel the richness of the fish in the spiciness. In the second half, adding a hot spring egg enhanced the dish, making it even richer. It was a delicious meal.

I finally went to a restaurant I've always wanted to visit. I decided to go on a cooler night. I arrived 10 minutes before opening, and there were no customers yet. But 5 minutes before opening, a few people started lining up. When I looked at the menu, I saw that there were only 10 servings of the night limited dish! I ended up getting the Tai-no-konbu-mizu-tsuke ramen for 1200 yen. It was light and suitable for adults. You can change the flavor by adding konbu water to the dipping sauce or adding yuzu pepper. It was delicious. Next time, I will try the tantanmen! For the first visit, I received a complimentary black oolong tea by adding them as a LINE friend.

I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for a long time. I like spicy food, so I ordered the Tai Tanmen with spice level 2. I also wanted to try the Tai Meshi, but I had plans to visit another restaurant afterwards, so I reluctantly passed on it. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, with the chef's French background shining through. The chashu had balsamic vinegar drizzled on it, and the soup had a hint of French flavor. It was an excellent bowl of ramen.

I visited the restaurant because I was curious about the sea bream ramen. It operates on a ticket system (cash only, one machine) and they also accept PayPay, although I didn't want to use it as there were people waiting behind me. Self-service for water and wet towels. I took them myself and was shown to my seat. I ordered the sea bream tantanmen with a spice level of 2 (you could choose from normal to level 3) for 910 yen, and also the sea bream rice for 300 yen. The ramen had a unique flavor, not quite tantanmen nor sea bream broth, more like a French-style taste. I felt like the portion of noodles was a bit small. The sea bream rice was delicious and elegant, suitable even for a high-end restaurant. There were instructions on how to eat the sea bream rice, suggesting to pour the soup and sea bream broth over it, but honestly, it was best enjoyed as it was. Maybe you don't even need to add the soup. Overall, the sea bream rice was more delicious than the ramen.

Hugging Tai-san offers a Tai-tanmen with maximum spiciness. This shop specializes in Tai fish broth tantanmen, which is quite rare. The rich soup packed with the aroma and flavor of Tai fish, perfectly coating the medium-thick curly noodles. Delicious. The side dish of Tai rice is also highly recommended. However, the maximum spiciness is only recommended for those who can handle it.

This is a ramen shop located west of Higobashi Station. It is known for its sharp spiciness and numbing sensation, as well as luxurious toppings on its tantanmen noodles. Be aware that they may close before the last order. Comment: I had heard about this place known for its sea bream tantanmen. I stopped by on a Friday after work, and even though it was close to 9 o'clock, there were 16 people waiting ahead of me! I ended up waiting for about 30 minutes. I underestimated Higobashi... You buy a meal ticket first before lining up. Payment is accepted in cash or through PayPay. The shop is filled with the scent of sea bream broth. There are 4 small tables and 4 counter seats. The lighting is dim, making it difficult to take good photos (laughs) (the photos have been edited). The person who seemed to be the manager was very friendly, apologizing for the wait and showing great customer service. However, those who arrived before the last order at 9:30 PM were turned away even though there was no longer a line. Something to keep in mind. Menu: The main dishes are the "Sea Bream Tantanmen" for 900 yen, and two types of soupless tantanmen. The spiciness can be increased for an additional 10 yen. They also offer cold sea bream tantanmen and kelp water dipping noodles. Food: - Sea Bream Tantanmen Level 2 Spicy for 910 yen (August 2021) The soup initially has the sesame aroma typical of tantanmen, followed by a sharp spiciness and numbing sensation. There is also a hint of sesame in the tantanmen. However, it's hard to discern the sea bream flavor. The broth is tasty, with a sharp spiciness typical of tantanmen. The noodles are firm with a good chew. There are various toppings like meat miso, mildly seasoned chicken ham and rare meat, and watercress. The addition of chili oil prevents the taste from becoming monotonous. However, there was no white rice available, which was disappointing. They had sea bream rice, but no white rice, which was a letdown. Overall, while it didn't have the special feeling unique to sea bream, it was still a delicious tantanmen. French sea bream ramen at its finest. A chef dedicated to French cuisine creates a specialty shop for sea bream ramen. The combination of French and Japanese ingredients results in such an elegant ramen dish. Highly recommended for seafood soup lovers. Visited at 2 pm and it was almost full. What I had this time was the Sea Bream Ramen with broth (0.5 spiciness) for 900 yen and Sea Bream Rice for 300 yen. You can choose spiciness level from 0 to 3. I chose 0.5 as I'm not good with spicy food. It had a nice hint of spiciness without being overwhelming. The toppings were artistic, especially the crispy bamboo shoots and crunchy greens that complemented the rich soup. The Sea Bream Rice was flavorful on its own, but you can also pour the ramen soup over it to make it like a risotto or add the table broth to make it into ochazuke. The place I visited was "Dakishimetai Tai" in Osaka, with 19 seats (4 counter seats, 5 tables). Open from Tuesday to Saturday 11:00-15:00 and 17:30-22:00, Sunday 11:00-15:00 and 17:30-21:00. Closed when the soup runs out. Located a 5-minute walk from Higobashi Station.

This time, I ordered the standard menu of sea bream tantanmen and sea bream rice. You can choose the level of spiciness, so I chose medium spicy. The result of medium spicy was that the spiciness slightly overshadowed the taste of the sea bream, so if you want to fully enjoy the taste of the sea bream, it might be better to choose mild spicy. The tantanmen itself was delicious, so next time I will order it with less spiciness. The sea bream rice allowed me to savor the taste of the sea bream. Finally, I was able to enjoy sea bream ochazuke, so I left satisfied.

I visited around 11 o'clock on Tuesday and was able to enter without waiting in line. I ordered level 0 spiciness, but personally I think level 1 would have been more delicious. The spiciness was refreshing? It wasn't very spicy, but the spiciness was refreshing and I was able to eat it in a refreshing way.

A famous ramen restaurant in Osaka, Higobashi. The owner seems to have a background in French cuisine. They specialize in tai (sea bream) tantanmen, not your usual tantanmen! They use tai from Uwajima, Ehime Prefecture, and carefully make a rich tai broth. The flavor of the tai is strong enough to stand up to the spiciness of the tantanmen! The tai meshi (rice with tai) was especially delicious, one of the best I've had. I highly recommend it! I checked on Tabelog and it said that they allow baby strollers. There is only one table where you can put a baby stroller, so if you time it right, you can bring one. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making it easy to enter. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I arrived at 17:00 and was seated immediately without waiting in line. I prefer my tantanmen without soup, so I ordered the soupless tantanmen with a mild level of spiciness. The broth, which has a strong flavor of sea bream, pairs well with the noodles and has a good consistency. It's a bit salty, but the taste is satisfying. I feel like the dish could use some more carefully chosen ingredients. The chashu is delicious, but how well does it go with the sea bream? The chef is said to be French, so I would like to see them create a special tantanmen without worrying about the cost.

This extremely popular restaurant always has a long line. I don't usually eat ramen, but I decided to stop by since I happened to be passing by. I really like sea bream broth, so I had high expectations, but I felt that they didn't fully bring out the flavor of the sea bream. I often make sea bream broth at home, so I can tell. The rich tantan noodles almost masked the aroma completely. When I added some sea bream broth from a separate kettle, it became much more delicious. Maybe it's because I'm getting older, but I wished they would bring out the flavor of the sea bream a bit more. Younger people might not find it tasty without this punch, so it's hard to say. Nonetheless, I'm always impressed that they can make such delicious ramen at this price. Rather than sea bream ramen, it felt more like a ramen where the flavors blend together.

I visited for the first time at night. Since it was a Sunday, it was not crowded. I thought the Sea Bream Tantanmen would be a curveball, but it turned out to be a delicious Tantanmen that I enjoyed. It had a lot of ingredients and I left feeling satisfied. The Sea Bream Rice was especially good because you can enjoy it in three different ways: as a risotto, ochazuke, or with a change in flavor.

I visited for lunch at 11:00. I was seated at the counter on the left. It was the 6th stop on the Ramen Circuit. I ordered Tan Tan Men with soup x1, spiciness level 1. I also had Tai Meshi x1, which was complimentary at Ramen Circuit. Later, I added Tai Meshi soup to make Tai Chazuke. More customers kept coming in as I was leaving, with over 10 people waiting outside. They also have terrace seats with shade. I received a ¥100 discount on toppings for my next visit through an Instagram post. They have LINE stamps available and accept payment through PayPay.

On the day I went to work, I felt like having ramen for lunch. I asked my junior for recommendations on where to go, and they suggested this place. Excited, I, who can handle spicy food, ordered the option with soup. I chose the tantanmen, which was quite rich and flavorful with toppings like bamboo shoots and chicken adding a nice touch. I personally prefer a bit more spiciness, so next time I'll go for a spicier option! It seems that after 11:30 am, there is usually a line, so it's recommended to go early or when you have some time to spare. There are both counter and table seats available.
