Furubira-based Watanabe Suisan, a truly authentic seafood company, operates a seafood bowl restaurant. It's different from the fake seafood company-owned shops and seems to be causing a new trend in Date! It's exciting to see what the future holds for this place! In this area, the impression of seafood restaurant Torazōhama is strong, and Date has struggled to catch the trend, but finally, a seafood bowl restaurant owned by a seafood company has appeared in Date! It is run by Watanabe Suisan based in Furubira and a pure Date company. Previously, there was an izakaya called "Ajitsubo" in this location, which closed last year. It was a shop frequented by local fishermen. Due to this, the president of Watanabe Suisan, who was a regular, decided to open his own restaurant. The lunch menu includes seafood bowls and sashimi set meals. The highlight here is definitely the sea urchin bowl. The assorted seafood bowl I ordered (1950 yen) is small in size, but it contains a considerable amount of fresh red tuna, yellowtail, scallops, sweet shrimp, sea urchin, salmon, and more, providing a satisfying meal. Moreover, unlike the seafood bowls aimed at looking good at large stores like Atami, the fish here is simply delicious! The power of a genuine seafood company-owned restaurant is amazing! (It's important that it's not just a fake seafood company with a name) The rice is lightly vinegared, which is also good. The meal comes with pickles, miso soup with shrimp, and side dishes, and for an additional 300 yen, you can change to a crab soup with half a snow crab. I also ordered a boiled crab dish. This also has a great taste! The main seafood bowl is priced from 1980 yen, which is quite high for everyday use for local people, but considering the quality of the seafood bowl, it's actually very cheap. To be honest, in this area with a small population, it's a good idea to target people who are willing to travel from afar to eat here. The location is along National Route 36, so it's a bit inconvenient for those arriving by train as it's a 6-7 minute walk from the JR station in a residential area.
