I ordered a variety of dishes, but my favorite today was the "Pacific herring". It had a rich texture without the typical fishy smell. The first time I tried it was in the "chilled tea-steamed egg custard", which despite being cold, had a nice flavor profile that wasn't overly sweet.

It's been a while since I visited Nagoyaka Tei Tonden-ten. It was past 8 PM and I was quickly seated at the counter. I like that there is no need to worry about the distance between seats at this counter. It doesn't feel cramped at all. I ordered a variety of sushi, focusing on today's recommendations such as Otoro, Shin, Matsukawa Karei, Hirame, Maguro Zukushi, fresh salmon, and Kappa Maki. Every time I have the Kappa Maki here, I think to myself, "The seaweed and soy sauce here are delicious too." Thank you for the meal!

I visited Nagoyatei, one of the top three conveyor belt sushi restaurants in Sapporo. Due to work, I mainly travel around the central area of Sapporo, so I often go to Hanamaru for sushi. This was my first time at Nagoyatei. The restaurant is located in the suburbs at the Tonden branch, and it is quite spacious. The menu is extensive, and you can either eat what comes around on the belt or order from a paper menu. As for the sushi, I ate a lot more than what is shown in the photos (oops). Each type of sushi was fresh and delicious, but my favorites were the shellfish, especially the surf clam and scallops. Overall, the sushi at Nagoyatei may not be as big or impactful as the ones at Hanamaru, but the prices are more reasonable, so both have their own merits.

Sushidokoro Nagoyakatei Tonden-ten. It's been a while since my last visit. I sat in a booth and enjoyed delicious dishes such as the seafood jewel battleship Sakura-masu three-piece assortment, shellfish assortment, special tuna assortment, spring herring, and Saba of Tsubasa. I will definitely visit again.

I tried to buy sushi for dinner at Costco, but I didn't need 50 pieces, so I went to this place. It was before 6:00, so they guided me to a booth. I had seared bonito, salmon, mackerel, natural tuna, squid, tuna yukhoe, raw salmon, and the pieces were big and satisfying.

This is the Tonden branch of Nagoyaka-tei. It's one of the older Nagoyaka-tei restaurants in Sapporo. It may not compare to the main branch in Kushiro, but I think this restaurant is delicious compared to other Nagoyaka-tei locations in Sapporo. It's still packed on weekends. The parking lot is quite large so it's usually okay. They have both touch panel and paper menus at the counter. The eel is delicious. The chawanmushi is also tasty. The zangi named after Kushiro is good, as well as the Triton from Nemuro and the Nagoyaka-tei from Kushiro. Each has its own unique taste and they are all good.

I visited "Sushidokoro Nagoyakate Tonden-ten" on December 7th, probably my third visit. Although I say that, my first visit was about 10 years ago. Today, my daughter and I visited for dinner. There is plenty of parking space, so no need to worry about parking. When I visited 10 years ago, it was a very popular restaurant, and we had to wait in the car with a buzzer. Today, we visited at 6:30 PM and were seated at the counter right away. The counter seats are mostly for 2 people with partitions for COVID-19 measures. This store uses a paper ordering system where you write down your orders. Here are some of the items I ordered: - Engawa (fluke fin) for 324 yen: Thick slices with shiso leaves in between. - Hokkigai (surf clam) Gunkan for 396 yen: Today's recommended menu. I prefer the fresh surf clam over the marinated one. - Aburi Toro Saba (grilled fatty mackerel) for 220 yen: Lightly grilled, could have been a bit more for better taste. - Negi Maguro (tuna with green onion) for 184 yen: The tuna has a stronger red meat flavor compared to other places I know. - Shiratama (white rice ball) for 220 yen. - Salmon head miso soup for 294 yen: Contains yuzu, very flavorful. - Engawa Yukke Gunkan for 324 yen: Today's recommended item. It had a unique taste and texture. - Prosciutto Cheese Roll for 396 yen: Tasty, but the texture was not great. - French Fries for 184 yen. My daughter's choices were: - Aburi Salmon (salt butter) for 294 yen. - Otoro Salmon for 324 yen. - Aburi Otoro Salmon for 396 yen. - Salmon Yukke for 184 yen. - Shiratama Zenzai for 324 yen. The restaurant was not fully packed even after we arrived. It seems like there is no longer a waiting time like in the past. The quality of the items, the quantity, and the service were all excellent. On the other hand, being able to sit anytime might make it the best restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

On the second day of my business trip to Hokkaido, I decided to go eat delicious sushi, as expected when in Hokkaido. I visited this restaurant for lunch. I was overwhelmed by the variety of fresh seafood options, but I ended up enjoying a selection of salmon, tuna, flounder, sardine, and Pacific saury sushi! The sushi at Hokkaido's conveyor belt sushi restaurants is completely different from what you would find in Tokyo, and it really impressed me! I envy the people of Hokkaido who can enjoy this kind of sushi regularly. I definitely want to come back to Hokkaido to enjoy delicious conveyor belt sushi again!

Nagoyakatei is a hidden gem with a high turnover rate at the counter, so you may not have to wait long! It has become my favorite revolving sushi restaurant in recent years. The pond smelt tempura is crispy, and the fatty fish like horse mackerel and saury are delicious. The crab miso and shrimp go well with sake, and the fatty salmon is a must-try. The abalone and scallops were also delicious.

A popular conveyor belt sushi chain with its main store in Kushiro. Although there are many outlets in Sapporo, this particular store is located along Shin-Kotoni Street in Kita Ward. My wife prefers "Nagoyakatei" when it comes to conveyor belt sushi, so we decided to visit this place for lunch. The restaurant has both counter seats and box seats, with a bright and lively atmosphere. We were seated promptly for an early lunch, but there were many customers, including takeout orders, so it seems to be quite popular. They offer a wide variety of sushi toppings, as well as other menu items, but this time we had what is shown in the photos. Being a popular spot, there are plenty of sushi dishes flowing on the conveyor belt, so you can enjoy a variety without having to order from the staff. While the prices may be higher compared to budget conveyor belt sushi chains, the quality of the sushi is very high, and I think all the toppings are delicious without any disappointments. It may depend on personal preferences, but I recommend this place when you want to enjoy delicious conveyor belt sushi.

It now feels like Sapporo's conveyor belt sushi. In Sapporo, it is a suburban-type conveyor belt sushi with a large parking lot. Therefore, it is sad that there is no store in the central area where I live with limited land. Personally, in Sapporo, "Sushidokoro Nagoyakatei," "Hanamaru," and "Triton" are the top 3 conveyor belt sushi chains. It has a contrasting store development from "Hanamaru" which has many stores in the central area of Chuo Ward. I visited for lunch with my usual companion. This store is located in the Tonden area of Kita-ku, Sapporo, along the Shinkotoni-dori. Please check the exact location of the restaurant on Tabelog. It was a visit around 12:30 pm on a weekday. There were many customers before and after, but we were able to sit at the only empty table. There were also spring limited-time menus on the visit day. I ordered the spring limited-time items and regular items in order on the order sheet and handed it to the waiter. My usual companion likes the lively demonstration of "overflowing salmon roe," so I chose "overflowing sweet shrimp" without a demonstration due to the COVID-19. Around 1:00 p.m. on a Saturday in December 2020, three of us visited and were seated in a booth right away. In the past, even at this time, we would have had to wait for about an hour, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, there were fewer customers. It must be tough for the restaurant. We usually go to Triton, but we came to Nagoyakatei because one of my companions wanted to go there. We ordered various dishes. The tsubasa no sabazushi was rich and delicious with plenty of mackerel fat. The kanimiso kani had a lot of crab miso and had a light taste. The matachi no osumashi was fluffy and rich. The ika natto ooba had a good balance of flavors. The guzusenmonosawanshuku was full of crab and sweet chestnuts, with scallops as well. The ikura was overflowing and deliciously crunchy. There was no live performance. The Bungo kanburi was smooth and easy to eat. We were recommended the homemade simmered anago, but we had to wait for about 15 minutes after ordering. It felt like it took a little too long for cooking after the order was taken. However, it was crispy and delicious. The total cost for three people was around 8,700 yen. We enjoyed the meal. I visited Sushidokoro Nagoyakatei Tonden-ten! It was my first visit. I found out that there are many of them in Sapporo. So, I decided to get takeout. When I placed my order for takeout, I had to fill out a special paper. I was able to write down menu items that were not on the paper as well. The staff kindly informed me about this. The service was fast, and my order of 13 plates was ready in 2-3 minutes. When it came time to pay, I asked if they included wet towels. The staff said no, and explained that I could take them myself from a visible location. I realized that I had to take them myself if I wanted them. The taste of the sushi was delicious. I honestly found it tastier than the two stores in Obihiro. The sea urchin and octopus heads were especially delicious. It was a moment where I truly felt the difference compared to revolving sushi restaurants in Sapporo. Thank you Nagoyakatei for the delicious meal!

On the occasion of the birthday of the CEO of the household, we fulfilled the request for sushi. Unable to find a suitable high-end sushi restaurant that was open for lunch, we ended up at a revolving sushi restaurant. Despite the common perception of frozen ingredients at such places, there were plenty of fresh options available. The CEO particularly enjoyed the salmon, along with a variety of alcoholic beverages. I had an hour of free time, so I decided to visit Nagoyakatei by myself. It was my first time there, and from the initial explanation, I felt like ordering soup, even though I wasn't in the mood for it. The staff was understanding, and I appreciated that. It wasn't too crowded, so I was able to relax and enjoy my meal. I ordered a lot of my favorite eel, some extra tuna due to my slight anemia, and tried the saury for the first time this year. I've been eating a lot of meat recently, so it was nice to have a variety. I also treated myself to sea urchin and salmon roe, as well as live abalone. It was a bit extravagant, but I enjoyed it. Nagoyaka-tei is a revolving sushi restaurant, but I'm not a fan of revolving sushi so I don't want to go. However, I can't refuse, right? Can't you understand that I'm not happy about it? I guess not. This person doesn't even look at my face, so they wouldn't understand. I wish they would ask, "Would you like to have lunch separately?" I want to eat ramen. But I can't even say that. I may be strong-willed, but at least, can't we go to a proper sushi restaurant? I like sushi, especially at the counter, and I enjoy sashimi with beer or sake. In the end, I leave without eating sushi, satisfied with what I had. So, maybe lunch is a good option to enjoy the sushi I like. I'll have the chef's choice. Mandarin snapper, mackerel, sweet shrimp, squid, salmon. Haha, these are all things I don't usually eat. Actually, when the other person ordered, I ended up saying, "I'll have the same." I didn't order anything myself because I thought if my favorite food wasn't delicious, it would be disappointing and too much trouble. The steamed egg custard and mackerel with its rich flavor were delicious. The mandarin snapper has a hint of citrus scent, which is interesting. The salmon, squid, and sweet shrimp were also surprisingly tasty for their price. Well, I guess it wasn't so bad after all.

We arrived at the restaurant at a different time than usual, so even though there were four of us, we were seated at the counter right away without having to wait. It seemed like the lunch rush was over, as the staff seemed relaxed and not too busy. Maybe because it was the last day of a 3-day weekend, some dishes were a bit lacking, but overall we were satisfied. We ordered using the order sheet, so we were able to enjoy freshly made food. We also got to use a discount coupon, so we felt like we got a good deal.
