I went to Maruse for lunch in Nakatsu, where nearly 20 MyRebi members have reviewed. It's conveniently close to the subway exit. For lunch, the three kinds of curry mix seem to be popular, so I followed suit. The spiciness is not dominated by chili peppers, but rather a variety of other spices are skillfully used. I like spices, but I've become a bit sensitive to chili peppers (at a normal level), so this restaurant is perfect for me. The Pork Keema Curry is refreshing! The aroma of spices quickly hits your nose. It's a dry type. Oh, just thinking about it is nice. The Chicken Curry has a strong spice aroma, but the sweetness of the onions comes through, making it quite close to Japanese curry. The chicken is tender! If you were to choose just one, I would go with this one. The Green Curry includes bamboo shoots, eggplant, bell peppers, mushrooms, and chicken. It was milder than expected and quite easy to eat. All three were delicious, but if I come again, I would like to try the Keema and Green curries with a fried egg on top. Maybe some spicy oil on the Chicken Curry would be good too. It's a tough decision. The building seems to be a renovated wooden house from the Showa era, right? The entrance with a dirt floor space gives it a secluded, hideaway-like feel from the outside. The three kinds of curry mix costs 1250 yen.

Son's bicycle practice and children's curry at Spice Curry Maruse! Located right near Midosuji Line Nakatsu Station. We had the Fever Special with everything for ¥1400 - Chicken, Green, Keema, Fried Egg, and Coriander. The children's curry was ¥600. This place has won awards multiple times at the Curry EXPO, and it's delicious! The chicken pieces are big and satisfying. The children's curry has smaller chicken pieces in a sweet curry. It might be a bit much for a 4-year-old, but overall, it was a great meal. Thank you! #OsakaGourmet #OsakaLunch #SpiceCurry #GreenCurry #NakatsuGourmet #NakatsuLunch #SpiceCurryMaruse #CurryExpo

I want to eat curry. Finally, I went to the spice curry place I've always wanted to go to. Let's go♪ Get off at Exit 2 of Midosuji Line Nakatsu Station and walk 1-2 minutes. Once inside, you will be greeted and taken to a counter seat. It's an old folk house, but it's cool with the air conditioning. The menu includes Pork Keema Curry for 900 yen, Chicken Curry for 900 yen, Green Curry for 900 yen, and Kids' Curry for 600 yen. You can also choose a combination of two curries for an additional 200 yen or three curries for an additional 400 yen. I ordered a combination of Pork Keema Curry and Chicken Curry without cucumbers. After a while, the combination of two curries arrived! The spiciness was just right for me, even though I prefer mild. The aroma was delightful and the Chicken was plentiful. It was delicious.

Maruse-san visited this place about 2 years ago and it wasn't as crowded as it was back then, but it was still almost full during lunchtime. I ordered a combination of two types of curry, chicken curry and green curry. The dishes were served quickly without much waiting. The chicken curry had a rich aroma of spices and was filled with chunks of chicken. It had a mild spiciness. The vegetables served on the side were tasty, and mixing them with the yellow curry was also delicious. The green curry was also very tasty! Personally, I preferred it over the chicken curry. Among the green curries I've tried, this one had the best balance. Sometimes if there's too much coconut milk, it can become too sweet and heavy, but that wasn't the case here. It was smooth and refreshing. There was chili oil on the table, which I added generously to my curry halfway through. Thank you for the meal.

Maruse in Nakatsu is a regular at the 100 famous stores. I was completely satisfied this time! They have a curry where you can enjoy five types of roux, and it's ridiculously delicious! It was so good that I didn't even mix the roux once (lol). You can also mix rice with buttered rice and five-grain rice. The toppings and ingredients are delicately seasoned, and while the curry world is surprisingly full of shortcuts in this area, Maruse leaves no room for error! I've become a big fan! Or rather, there's no doubt in my mind that Maruse is the number one in Kansai! Ah! It was so delicious!

I was invited to go to a delicious curry restaurant near Nakatsu's office, so I went. The spice curry restaurant opens at 11:30, and when I arrived at around 11:25, there was already a line! It seems to be a popular place. The restaurant is in a renovated old house, and the atmosphere is nice. They have a sign saying they are one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog, so I had high expectations (laughs). They offer Pork Keema Curry, Chicken Curry, and Green Curry, each priced at 900 yen. You can also get a combination of two for 1100 yen or three for 1300 yen. I love curry, but I'm not good with spicy food, so I chose the mild Chicken Curry and added a fried egg to make it even more mellow. Surprisingly, it wasn't too spicy and was easy to eat. The chicken was well cooked and tender, and the rice was not white rice but mixed grain rice, which I couldn't identify the exact types, but it went really well with the curry and was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to others. My companion had a combination of Chicken Curry and Green Curry, and the Green Curry seemed a bit spicy for me.

I only eat curry a few times a year, but on a hot day, the idea of going to eat curry came up. We headed to the curry restaurant we were aiming for, but there was a long line. After waiting in the heat for a while, the staff told us, "We're done for the day," and I was a bit disappointed, thinking they should have told us sooner. However, we ended up at "Maruse" and had a satisfying meal. The "All Topping Fever Plate" for 1400 yen includes chicken curry, pork keema curry, green curry topped with fried onions and a fried egg, creating a luxurious dish. The overall taste is very mild, so it's easy to eat. The rice is made with black rice, making it visually appealing. The curry looks like a cafe dish and, since it's not spicy, it may be preferred by women. The chicken was tender and well-cooked, with a good portion size. The pork keema curry was flavorful but not overwhelming, making it easy to eat. The green curry, although the cute girl next to me said, "It's spicy, can I leave it?" was actually not spicy at all... I wanted to tease her about it (laughs). Honestly, I was in the mood for a hearty and spicy curry, so I felt a bit unsatisfied, but it was a curry that was gentle on the stomach. I thoroughly enjoyed my long-awaited curry experience.

I wanted to try this thing called Spice Curry, so I did some research and decided to go check it out. It was said to be within walking distance from Nakatsu subway station, so I walked from Hankyu Umeda, but it's really not ideal to walk for more than 10 minutes in this weather. When I turned into a back alley, sweating profusely, I saw a line of about 10 people and knew right away that I had found the place. The restaurant had a stylish, renovated old house vibe from the outside. Maybe because they serve alcohol like Minoh Beer, the turnover rate seemed a bit slow for a curry restaurant. After about a 30-minute wait, I was guided into the cool interior. I ordered the most popular dish, the Fever Moriawase which came with three types of curry - Keema Curry, Chicken Curry, and Green Curry. They were all delicious, but personally, I liked the Green Curry the best. It had a slightly sweet and easy-to-eat impression, probably because it had a lot of coconut milk. I opted for the large rice portion, but I thought it could have been a bit more. I would like to go back again.

I visited this cozy curry restaurant on a Friday night. It is located near Nakatsu Station, within walking distance from Hankyu Umeda Station. I had been wanting to visit this place since trying their curry at the Curry Expo during Golden Week. The curry options were all so tempting that I couldn't decide, so I went for the Fever Mix with all toppings in the evening. It included Pork Keema, Chicken, Green, and the daily special Ginger Pork, topped with a fried egg. I also opted for a large serving of Basmati rice and a Belgian beer to treat myself for working hard this week. They also offer skewers at night, but I focused on curry this time and saved the skewers for next time. Whether eaten individually, mixed with sides, or mixed with other curries, each bite was delicious. You can also adjust the spiciness with the condiments on the table. It paired perfectly with the mellow Belgian beer. I thoroughly enjoyed this indulgent solo curry meal. It was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal. Thank you.

I tried the Pork Keema and Chicken combo (¥1100) at Maruse in Nakatsu, a beginner-friendly spicy curry. The Chicken was spicier while the Pork Keema had a great texture. It was surprisingly easy to eat and delicious, with the added bonus of mixed grain rice. I was pleasantly surprised and might become addicted to it.

I finally visited the restaurant and enjoyed the spice curry that I had been looking forward to. I chose two types of curry for 1,100 yen including tax. I selected Green Curry and Chicken Curry. The Green Curry had a refreshing taste and was absolutely delicious. It had a nice kick that reached all the way to my stomach. The Chicken Curry was also delicious, with just the right balance of spices, not too overpowering, and it paired well with Japanese curry.

The curry was sliced and incredibly delicious! It had a moderate spiciness with a nice kick, rich flavor, and all three types were equally delicious. The restaurant is in a traditional house with a great atmosphere and cleanliness. I would love to go back again!

I stopped by a curry restaurant located about 2 minutes from Nakatsu Station on the Midosuji Line while running errands! When it gets hot, I always crave spicy curry. I arrived after 1:30 pm and was able to enter without waiting. I ordered a combination of chicken curry and keema curry. The curry arrived after a while! The coriander was not overpowering. I highly recommend the chicken curry here. It's a bit spicy but addictive. The keema curry is not very spicy. I started by eating them separately and then mixed them together halfway through. Lately, many spicy restaurants have been opening in Nakatsu. I'll definitely come back to try more spicy dishes! Thank you for the meal. ( ◡‿◡ )

A few minutes' walk from Nakatsu Station is a spice curry restaurant. I arrived 15 minutes before the 11:30 opening time and there was only one group ahead of me, so I was able to be seated right away when they opened. Within 10 minutes, the restaurant was full. I ordered a mix of three curries: Pork Keema, Chicken Curry, and Green Curry. They also included a topping of bean curry, so it was like having four different curries. The texture of the Pork Keema, the spiciness of the Chicken Curry, and the aroma of the Green Curry were all good, but my favorite was the Chicken Curry. Mixing it with the bean curry was a great combination. The curries overall had a traditional taste, making it a safe choice even for those new to spice curry.

When I went to the bistro, they were closed. I called and found out they are closed on Mondays, so I decided to go tomorrow instead. Today's lunch was a bit of a struggle to find, but I stumbled upon a place in Nakatsu known for its variety of delicious restaurants. The first place I found had an old man waiting outside, but they weren't open yet. I finally found another place that was about to open. I ordered a two-dish combo with Green Curry and Pork Keema for 1,100 yen. They also included Dal, which was a nice surprise. The three dishes went well with the mixed grain rice. The combination of Green Curry and Pork Keema was unique and delicious. I quickly finished my meal, and the other customers around me seemed to be enjoying their food as well. The restaurant was an old renovated house, so watch out for the step up to the restroom. Overall, it was a great experience. Thank you.

First visit. Walking around during Sunday lunchtime, I stumbled upon a sign for a curry shop that is one of the top 100 shops. When I arrived, there were already two groups in front of me. But I didn't have to wait long and was able to enter after about 5 minutes. The interior of the shop has a stylish atmosphere, like a renovated old folk house. The menu offers three types of curry. Without hesitation, I ordered the "Fever Mount with Everything" and also an IPA beer with 40 times the hops (800 yen). The taste was authentic spicy curry ♫ The mixed grain rice is healthy and satisfying (^O^) The chicken curry was strong, the keema curry was delicious, but personally I prefer the green curry ♫ It was filled with plenty of ingredients and I was full. The fried egg under the coriander in the middle was very delicious (*´艸`) When you eat, I highly recommend topping it with a fried egg. Oh, I'm so full and satisfied. It was delicious! Thank you ♫

In 2019 and 2020, this place was selected as one of the "Top 100 Curry Restaurants WEST," and in 2022, it was chosen as one of the "Top 100 Asian & Ethnic Restaurants WEST" in a separate category. The owner of this restaurant stayed in India to study tea, but was so impressed by the curry he had there that he decided to create his own spice curry. As a result, he successfully transformed into a curry restaurant owner. This restaurant, "Spice Curry Maruse," is now well-known and highly regarded, alongside "SOMA," as a holy land for spice curry in Nakatsu. I visited this place with a mission to try their dry curry. See the photos below.

I wanted to eat spicy curry in Nakatsu, and when I searched on Instagram, this restaurant came up first. It took me less than 10 minutes to walk from Nakatsu Station to get there. When I ordered the "all toppings" curry, it looked amazing and tasted even better. Every curry was excellent!

I went to the popular restaurant Spice Curry Maruse in Nakatsu!! As a famous restaurant, even though it opens at 11:30, there were already many people lining up before opening. As soon as it opened, the inside of the restaurant was full, so it's better to line up at least 10 minutes before to get in quickly! The menu includes Chicken Curry, Green Curry, Keema Curry as a single dish, or you can choose a combination of two, three, or the Fever Plate with a fried egg. You can also choose your preferred level of spiciness! This time, I ordered a combination of two dishes (Chicken Curry, Keema Curry)! It seems that cilantro is topped on top, but the staff will ask you about the topping when you order, so it's okay to have it without if you don't like it! The food was served relatively quickly after ordering! Speed of service was great. The curry is quite spicy! If you're not good with spicy food, it might be a bit tough for you? The spices were well-balanced, and it was delicious to eat!! Second stop on the Spice Curry tour.

The restaurant opened at 11:30. There were 4.5 people waiting 5 minutes before opening. I was able to enter the restaurant right on time. I ordered the full set which included pork keema, green curry, chicken curry, and another yellow curry which I couldn't identify but it tasted refreshing. The green curry was delicious and the chicken curry was also tasty with a good level of spiciness. It was a satisfying curry that really felt hearty.
